finally back from my much deserved holiday. was really enjoyable but i don't think i'll post up all of the photos coz i took a total of 960. =)

here's a short photolog of the trip. but i only decided to put the pics i took at macau coz i'm juz not in the mood for the posting of pics of the hong kong ones.

had brunch at breeks at the airport before flying off.

that's taken inside budget terminal. coz it's budget. that's why we had to walk up to the plane ourselves. =)

took the gondola the next day with real people rowing and singing. =)

and that's our room. a suite in fact. =) we definitely felt like queens.

headed over to fisherman's wharf and had dinner there too. =)

guess it's obvious from the tone of my post that i'm not in a good mood.

i am tired. fed up and frustrated working with hk. she is such a bitch. lazy bum. and she is pissing me off totally. i hate her. period.

we-ll. there's a lot of updates to be done. at least in photo form. coz after my 1 week break i'll most probably have another 1001 photos to update! hahaha. i need the break. more about the trip later. =D

let's start with my meeting up with one of dearest girlfriend who came back from aussie for a while. =) karin!!! hahaha. met up with her a couple of weeks ago. and we went on like a food hunt. hahaha. =)

went to oosters for lunch coz the signboard featuring the beef goulash was waaaay tempting. =)
it was set lunch and it's about 20 per pax including gst and all. =) quite worth it la. the soup of the day was cream of corn. not too bad.

and that's karin with her main course of fish fritters. =) it was really a big portion lo. hahaha.

that's my beef goulash. i won't say it's bad. but neither would it be fantastic. coz it was SPICY!!! =X i finished my soft drink and iced water juz for this dish. it's really worse than the usual curry and man. i think i will be keeping my distance from beef goulash for a while. =(

the sherbet was good though we couldn't figure out what's the flavour. there's like seeds inside. hmmmz. but all in all a nice place to chill and catch up with your friends. will come back again to try their specialty mussels. =) anyone up for it?

dinner was over at vivocity's marche. actually i was craving for salmon sashimi. but i can't seem to better my tummy's temptation of marche's rosti. =) so off we went for the rosti. =) bad thing about this marche would be there's no washroom inside. so in order to go to the ladies. you have to exit the place then come back again. =X

but as usual. i love their deco of the place. and the market-like feel about it. =)

and after walking like 4 rounds around the place. we finally settled on calamari. rosti and fruit juices. =)

and being the hungry fellow that i am. i went for another round of rosti with smoked salmon. =) all by meself. =)

hee. and that rounds up day 1 of my eating trip. =)

day 2 would be woth my bro. hahaha. we went to catch the golden compass at vivo. and then to settle my long-awaited craving for sashimi. we went to sushi tei at vivo. =)

the movie was ok. the effects and acting skills of the people were ok. but the plot seemed to jump from one place to another. no link siaz. sianz. and the ending is so screwed. my bro and i were like. dotz! =X

ok. brunch and sushi tei was alright. but the service suckz. big time. onlt the host was friendly. the rest of them juz couldn't be bothered. =X so what if the view is nice? i'll think twice about before going back. =X

they sat bro and i at a small table facing sentosa. i like the view. enjoyed it tremendously. but the table was too small for us. after you see what we ordered it was really a tight fit. and they don't automatically clear the empty dishes lo. like what the? =X thumbs down for service.

and i thought food should be up to a certain standard across all outlets. but apparantly no. comparing the one at raffles place and vivo. the chawanmushi has very big difference. the one at raffles was smooth. no bubbles. this one has tons of bubbles and totally not smooth at all. i don't know izzit coz i was too pampered and that the raffles outlet has led me expect more from the chain. but the one at vivo failed.

the soft shell crab maki was good though. and finally it got my bro to understand why am i willing to pay so much for good food. he loved the maki lo. hahaha. =) hopefully he'll learn to appreciate the good things in life too. =D

the agedeshi tofu was ok. nothing much to say about it.

and in the hope of settling my craving i ordered the salmon sashimi. but no. unfortunately it wasn't as good as the one at suki yatai. which left me very much disappointed.

and my bro went for his usual eel with rice set. i don't understand the fascination about eel at all. hmmmz. but he said it was better than the one at waraku lo. hahaha.

and my beef sukiyaki. was ok. but the soup had too much onions in it. =X and the table was really cramped till i didn't really enjoy my food.

disappointed with the outlet lo. view was good. but the service and table size brought down the marks. sighz.

okie. on to the last day of work with nana around. managed to get sharon down also. =) so we started the whole hush hush operation of making presents and getting everyone to store. hahaha. what i didn't know was that the riders went to buy flour and eggs to sabo nana. hahaha. it's really not my idea sis! *swearz* hahaha. all the naughty riders were working and of course things will get slightly out of hand la. =)

the only thing that spoilt the mood was the presence someone unwanted. *sshz* other than that they all had fun pelting nana with the eggs and flour. oh. and coke! =) and in the search for her revenge. nana poured flour onto some of thir bikes and poor fathiin's kenna a lot. =) even the inside of his helmet. hahaha. those who parked near him were the unfortunate ones. =D

but it was fun seeing most of the people there. happy memories were triggered. =) now i shall let the pictures do the talking:

that's the happy family that i once had at work. now there's only cl and i left. but few months more there'll only be me. coz cl will be going ns le. =X sighz.

the next day stayed till 11am coz mama extended me lo. juz before going home albert asked me to wait for the chicken rice that he asked auntie choo keow to buy. so the sleepy me took out my camera and started snapping pics. =) hahaha. that's elias's helmet in front of me.

and since we converted to MFY on the 29th. there's the sticker on the floor to direct customers. hahaha. and the riders were all so cute. they wanna eat. so they stand on the sticker and shout that they want to eat. coz it says to queue and order here. hahaha. sometimes i don't know whether to laugh or to cry. =)

work's ok i guess. coz i know the crew and riders well enough ba. so my shift we go by the left. hahaha. =) not all the time but sometimes. =) i'm not that worried about the crew as compared to the riders when i'm not in sin. sighz. so i told reduan i'll juz divert all my calls to him and told the riders to call him if anything happens. hahaha. he was like 'i'll switch off my phone'. hahaha. but shouldn't be a big problem la. i have faith in him. =)

'major crisis' now as he puts it is to find riders to cover raziff for the whole week. not sure what happened to raziff. but to receive such a call at 10am when i only slept at 5am is a killer. so i'm still looking. sighz. then aziz can tell me that they're all playing soccer that night so he can't work. dotz. when the soccer is after 11pm and everyone will be there. i am so going to kill reduan tmr for suggesting the soccer so no one wants to work. =X

and i need to clear everyone's leave and requests and put up my schedule for next week before i leave. hmmmz.

anyway. the trip's in 2 days time and i haven't even started packing. arrrghz! god save me please... ="( and i have no idea how to get from the hotel in macau to senado square. damn. but line's damn power la. she went to print all the maps. hahaha. =) so i'll research about the places to eat and visit. hahaha. =) leaving on 16th afternoon. coming back on 22nd midnight. and i'm working morning on 23rd. ha! 1 week of long well deserved break. =) really excited juz thinking about it. all the bones in my body's vibrating with excitement lo. =) that's one of the reason why i say i'll have 1001 photos to upload when i come back. hopefully my laptop won't crash on me. =)

i'll be staying at venetian macau. ymca. and disney hollywood hotel. =) should be a fun experience. especially looking forward to the stay at venetian. =)

one year down the road and i'm still unsure of my decision back then. i juz received an email from myself which i wrote 1 year ago through the lakehouse's website where i can send an email to the future.


after reading the email all the memories came flooding back. events that happened then were etched so deeply in my mind that it seemed juz like they happened yesterday. yesterday when we were sitting at the han's outside national library and clearing up that misunderstanding which we had.

one year on and i'm still missing *you. 13 more years to go before i can really forget about the fact that *you even stepped into my life. but i wonder if i really wanna forget about the friend whom i once hold close to my heart.

work suckz. and this time round it isn't coz of mama. but of hk. she doesn't seem to be holding any tasks but kept delegating them to others. not a bad thing. but her style of working really needs some getting used to. i don't know what to expect anymore.

there's so much at work that i wanna say out but no one will understand the what i'm through i guess. ="(

but i had fun working yesterday night. coz there were ah girl. brother. zul. dzul. aziz w. aziz i. afiq. zahid. ashik. i think we were way noisy but i like the noise. coz it's the kind of happy noise. =D orders were jammed like shit at a point in time but still fun working. =) and we all had the nasi lemak from boon lay. hahaha.

by this morning i guess it was kinda obvious that i am sleepy and fed up that my schedule is not done yet. but people start asking me questions up down left right. the only who knew i wasn't feeling top of the world was reduan. hahaha. he tried to cheer me up even though we didn't talk much and he was sitting at the riders' table there waiting for orders. i'm under the weather. and i'm afraid he'll be too coz for the past 3 days where it was raining cats and dogs he was working and sending orders. hmmmz.

time to go and catch my nose that's attempting to run away. =) can't wait for mon when i won't be in singapore. no more phone calls. no more msgs. =) at least a 24 hour break from it all.

hee. i had good food for the past few days. going to al-azah at bukit timah with auntie norsiah. syakila. nadiah. zul. hafiz. kanglin. dini. peishan. then to suki yatai at waterloo street with couzin and to tom's palette at shaw leisure gallery again for their ice cream. =D

i seriously think if i continue on like this i'm gonna get fat! =) and there's more good food at hong kong and macau next month too! =)

anyway. here's some delightful food to share! =D

here's my 2 lovers and i at al-azah:

there's the sweet and sour sotong. this was a dish that i enjoyed most during dinner. the gravy was juz tangy enough to bring out that ooomph in you. =) but i guess if you apply the gravy to lalas. whoa! it would be out of this world!

then there was the spicy beef and egg with onions. i didn't try the egg. coz i simply detest onions. =X but the beef was alright. but was really hot and spicy! the meat itself was tender enough. not overcooked at all. =)

and there was the mixed tom yam soup and kang kong belachan. the tom yam smelt spicy from where i sat. so no. i didn't attempt to poison mydelf with it. =D kanglin was like fanning herself after drinking one sip from it and it got me and dini laughing. =D the kang kong was good. perhaps coz it was cut into smaller pieces. unlike those at other places where it was all long and tangly. =) it made life easier for me at least. =)

this pic is taken quite badly coz of the lighting. the people there simply refused to turn on the lights even though that area we were sitting at was quite packed. =X but this was supposed to be the hot plate beancurd. i didn't get to taste the beancurd coz there were so many of us sharing. but the gravy and the mushrooms. the eggs. they were all good. =) yummy!

after that we went over to kap for dessert and some fries. and then i went back to store. =) what happened in store was a happy memory. coz it made me feel thankful again as to how much we've come so far as a team. =D and we were juz sitting outside and chatting for like 1 hour. and laughing our heads off at certain descriptions. =D

the day before i finally met up with couzin again. =D after so long! hahaha. so in order to compensate me. he did the research and off we were to look for good food and interesting places to visit. =D

what i didn't expect was that i had to climb moutains that day. and it wasn't juz one mountain. but 2. my tian. he was like attempting murder on me siaz.

that was the loooooong flight of steps that we took to reach the first mountain. mt sophia. =X

we visited the old school where there were a lot of art studios and this restaurant called recess over there. the place was really peaceful and i juz felt a sense of detachment from the outside world. =) the most interesting tenant there would be this place called sinema. a place that specializes in singapore productions. be it films. books. fashion. as long as it's singaporean. =) and being such a good talker as he usually is. couzin managed to get us to an inside view of their cinema. it's not very big. but it definitely felt very exclusive. and the sofas were damn nice. =) they have yet to start screening films. but they will be officially open to the public on 12 dec. =D at least that's what i remembered. think i'll go back again when more tenants move in and when the sinema starts screening local films. =) anyone interested? =)

then there was another daunting journey to mt emily. =D hahaha. i think we are nutz. but never mind. i like this nutty feeling. =) we passed by mt emily park where we spent a good half hour or so there. at the playground. yepz. at the playground. you heard me right. =)

there were families there with the kids and the sand was really clean and white. simply picture perfect. so i couldn't resist taking a picture. =D

playing on the swings with couzin and with him pushing me made me feel like a kid all over again. damn it though coz i was in a skirt. but ah well. who carez? =P and we tried standing on the see-saw and doing our own balancing act. =) hahaha. i think we really looked like 2 overgrown kids. =D

we tried to find 139 selegie. but no matter how we walked we juz couldn't find it. =X so to perhaps to comfort ourselves we ducked into this pastry shop along mackenzie. and man. the soya beancurd tart was good! the crust was thin yet crispy. and the filling tasted juz like soya beancurd. yummy-licious!

and there was this hidden find at waterloo centre. blk 264 i think. waterloo street. this stall called suki yatai. judging from the name it serves jap food la. =) it was good and cheap. although they supposedly close at 8pm. and we were there at 9pm we still got our food. coz the boss recognized couzin ma. he went racky that day i think. =D hahaha.

and i ordered the oxtail set with the miso soup and rice. S$6.50 only! =D what a catch! the beef was really tender. and the soup was nicely seasoned. not too salty like sakae sushi and all. really good. =) i really enjoyed my oxtail. =) and there was more to come!

couzin had the sashimi with rice thingy. i don't know the exact name though. paiseh la. coz he doesn't take beef. =)
and there was the plate of S$3.50 sashimi that was so fresh that it was really felt that the slices of salmon could juz break under the grip of the chopsticks. sedap siaz! =)

and on the house was the pickled baby octopus. and a small bowl of red wine. hahaha. yes. you saw right. RED WINE. hahaha. i think my couzin may be too charming already. hence the special treatment. =D our first taste of red wine at a commercial setting. =)

and then i brought couzin over to shaw lesure gallery for ice cream. at tom's palette again. =) this time i had the mango and granny's favourite while he had the summer berries and rum and raisin. i didn't take the risk of taking the rum and raisin coz i was working morning the next day. so i was afraid that i would conk out totally. but stole a bite from couzin's. and it was really rum-my. =) his summer berries was real sour though refreshing. but i prefer the sour-ness of my mango over his berries. and he kept taking bites out of mine. =( the granny's favourite is quite alright though not really my thing coz of the cocoa and dough in it. the mango holds the top position currently. =)

and some tid-bit we picked up. do you know in order to make the ice cream they uses 3 machines? that tom is not the name of the owner. but a friend who didn't think the owner could go far making ice creams? and that they are a couple who owns the parlour. but i can't recall their names now. and there are really weird flavours available. like pisang with walnuts. something close to jackfruit. and a flavour that has chilli padi in it?!? man. that is some kind of ice cream palour!

as usual we caught up with each other lives and all. though the next meeting will only be in jan coz we'll be in different countries next month. he'll be back on the 20th. and i'll only be back on the 22th. =( upsetting.

but i can't remember when did i tell him we'll go desaru together. hmmmz. stm. damn. but i wanna go perhentian islands. heard from him that it was really good. and cheap. =) so told him maybe can go next year lo. juz that we'll both be very busy. him with school. me with work. =X perhaps somewhere between 1st to 7th jan ba. hmmmz.

and i managed to get someone to give me morning call the next day. hahaha. =D

we-ll. sharon has officially resigned. and ziana by the end of this month. hui koon's coming over. and perhaps allan for 1 month's attachment. haiz. i don't know how the crew and riders will adapt to them. but i'll definitely miss the teamwork ann. sharon. ziana. peishan and i shared. =(

new management. new problems will arise. i juz hope that i'll be ready when the time comes. anything happens at least i know i have a group of close friends at work i can fall back on.
