here i am typing this post, but very stressed up because the allocation of my FYP title would be out tonight! OMG prays hard that i get one of the 5 which i ranked for balloting! :)
oh well 10th session of IPT, meaning IPPT later, glad that this is going to be over soon yet when night dawns near, i have to face the cruel truth of my FYP allocation. 雷公助我!
Selamat hari raya to all my muslim friends! (oh wells they probably wont be seeing this anyway hahas) Up early today to research on mini-project1. My project is to debunk the myth that avocadoes are fattening! Hmm, had fun researching on this topic as it is of my interest! lol avocadoes are yummy fruits(be it in the form of raw fruit as seen in sandwiches or salad, or avocado milkshake). Now that the research process is almost done, i have the task of designing a poster! omg.. haha first time ever so far in Uni life i had to design one, anyone has any particular software that is suited for designing one? helps please!
Hmm guess the above picture would look good on the poster?
On a sidenote, BQQ is leaving for Beijing later and yeah I will be heading down to the airport like real soon! Hope he have a surprise later for what i have for him hahas!!Sighs... when would it be my turn to leave on a jet plane once again? End of this year maybe, if any form of overseas trip with friends gets under the planning!~ Tomorrow is public holiday, should I go back school and do more research on fyp as staying at home means procrastination is set for the day.. * ponders *
4th day of school and I am feeling a ton of stress due to fyp selection. i dont know why but the fyps offered are some what not to my liking.. its either they are too indepth in probability or programming software of which neither i am adept in!! Well, hopefully, i can get my choices as ranked and get a decently nice A/P to be my supervisor.
Have been hearing sad stories of bad and mean supervisors, just hope it wouldnt be the same for me ah..
So far, i have attended the first lecture of my 4 modules and i would say that they should be ok. On an interesting note, my timetable would be reduced to a 3 day work week but i doubt i could have any freedom anymore with fyp :((
ST4231- Computer Intensive Statistical Methods: a MUST take due to fyp requirements. But, not harbouring high hopes for this, my programming skills like a cui. have to pray and borbie i can smoke through this final lap. Lecturer was okay, but i have difficulty interpreting what he says at times.
ST4233 - Linear Models: taught by the same lecturer that taught me survival last sem, somehow got used to his teaching method already. But lesson tend to be boring with his montonous voice and drfiting away from his lecture seems to be an inevitable thing. hahas.
ST3243: Statistical Methods In Epidemiology: hmm, i would say this is interesting hahas, somehow this field of statistics interest me and is perhaps what that keeps my passion for statistics alive after all this gruelling years. And to my surprise, the lecturer for this mod is a Hongkongese., super friendly! The one and only put off would be that this is the night class 6-10pm!
GEK1529: Food and Health. This would probably be my last UE i would be taking for my stay in NUS. Lecture was enjoyable and light - hearted due to the 'elective' nature. I guess the companiance of friends taking the module together have a significant effect on making this module an awesome one to be? Content was relevant and interesting, oh yeah, speaking of that, i should be heading downstairs for a run to burn some calories and fats! omg haha..
FYP honours briefing later @4pm. May all things go well! tada~
hi guys, i decided to resume blogging after an absence of close to 1 and a half years.... \
In the blink of an eye, my 3 month long holidays is coming to an end :(( sometimes i wonder why time seems so short when you want it to be slow... The second last semester of schooling is going to begin on this coming tuesday, the thought of it seriously makes one down ah... imagine chionging fyps day and night~ welll, at least, this would also marks my last year of schooling ever.. and there would be a graduation trip at the end of this long education journey to look forward too~~ KOREAAAA!!! hahas...
Going into the last year of schooling in the pursue of my honours degree in statistics and more specifically specialization in biostatistics, i came up with some resolutions! hahas... ~To do well enough to get my second uppers (not too difficult i guess if everything goes well, fyp is the key~)
~To slim down... omg, comparing myself from the last blogpost date and today, one significant difference is that i have gained weight... yes ah, too much good food, (damn, all the fault of those food blogs) make me irresistable!! So, hopefully, with the start of this new school term, the hectic school life coupled with my motivation to exercise may aid me in achieving this goal.. a ja a ja!!!!!
~To get to know more coursemate!
hmmm, a short entry this would be and more updates on the last 1.5 years would be posted soon*\i am afraid this would be delayed */, keep a lookout for that (:
