CNY
Sunday 14th February 10
To all the Chinese: Happy Lunar New Year! Huat ah!
To all the couples: Happy Valentine's Day!
Set off for my grandma's house at 12pm for visiting. As my grandma stays near us, the journey was fast.
OTW to grandma's place.

I was surprised that my family was the 1st to reach there. Usually we will be the 2nd or 3rd family to reach there. Haha.
Ate lunch and then we started playing Black Jack. Haha. My dad was the banker and many of us lost to him.
The last family arrived and we played mahjong with my uncle at the lift lobby. Luckily his neighbours were not at home because we were very noisy.
All of us lost to my uncle in mahjong too. Sigh, my luck is not as good as I thought it would be.
At the end of the visiting, my dad gave some of his winnings to me. WOOT!

My family left around 4pm as my dad wanted to go to the temple but it was closed when we reached there. Hence, we went for coffee before heading back to my grandma's house for dinner.
At the cafe opposite Singtel building.
After dinner, we played Black Jack with my uncle's friends and their wives. As usual, my dad was the banker.
He won in the end and gave some of his winnings to me and my sister. Heh heh.
Went home around 11pm and fell asleep. Woke up to Ken's call and he came to pick me up. Ken, his bro & gf and I went to GWC for movie at 1am. Watched Little Big Soldier.
As we were driving along Tanglin road back, we were stopped by the police. We were the only car being stopped by the police for this road block.
I thought Ken was speeding but it was only a random check. Phew...
My 1st road block encounter. HAHA.
Monday 15th February 10
Woke up at 9.30am and gave Ken a morning call as he was supposed to come my house for visiting at 11am. After we hung up, he went back to dreamland. GREAT. HAHA.
As his relatives came to his house, he had to entertain them, hence he reached my place around 11.45m.
All of us sat in the living and watched some show about fashion and cooking in Korea. Left my house for his place around 1pm.
When I reached his house, many of his relatives were there already. As this was my 1st time to his place on the 2nd day CNY, I felt a bit lost. LOL.
When everyone I know came, we played Black Jack with his mum and uncles.
After that, we had dinner and we continued with mahjong when Nicholas came.
Changed to Texas Holdem, In Between and Black Jack when his sister's friends came. We played all the way till 5am and ordered Macs for supper/breakfast.
Cabbed home and crashed around 7am. Zzzz
Tuesday 16th February 10
Woke up at 11am because my relatives came to my house. WAH! I came down like a zombie and greeted them.
All of them left to visit my uncle while I stayed at home as I was super tired.
Went out with my parents for dinner at my dad friend's restaurant at 313 @ Somerset. The food is damn nice! It was bustling with people when we reached there.
My parents sent me home before heading to my dad friend's place for visiting. Slack at home and caught up with my drama before sleeping. I could afford to sleep late because I don't start work until next Monday! YAY!
Wednesday 17th February 10
The first thing that came to my mind this morning when I woke up was "No work today!" Haha.
Woke up, ate breakfast and then watched tv while surfing the net. This was true from 11am till 9pm. I can really slack I tell you. Just give me a tv and I can sit there for the whole day.
Thursday 18th February 10
Woke up at 10am and watched tv. The usual channels that attract me.
Left home for RWS around 2pm. Went there to recce and to visit Victoria's Secret.
When I reached the RWS 8 bus stop outside Harbourfront, I saw 2 queues. I chose the longer queue as I saw a few people wearing the RWS lanyard. I followed them up the bus and off we went.
As the bus was driving into the basement carpark, I realised that the place was huge! The biggest carpark I've ever seen!
When the bus stopped at the 1st alighting point, I realised that there were gantries. At this moment, I realised that the bus that I took was meant for employees! OMG! No wonder they did not collect the entrance fee from me!
I didn't dare to alight as I could not enter from the employees entrance and it seems far away from the guest entrance. Hence, I stayed on the bus and wondered if the bus would send me back to the Harbourfront bus stop. After a few more stops for the employees, yes, it did. Phew....
I alighted the bus and took the RWS 8 bus for guests. This time round, I got it correct.
I was in awe when I stepped in. The place resembles Genting but classier of course. Haha. The place was very crowded on a Thursday. I think most of them were tourists.
They even have an ATM there for people to withdraw money. More like lose more and withdraw even more money. HAH.
"Very nice" in Borat style.
There were lots of luxurious brands there and many boutiques were not opened. Walked around for awhile more and left as I found it boring. HAHA.
Went down to Taka as I need to buy Elisa and Jean's farewell present. Before that, I stopped by Wisma and bought my favourite Vanilla Latte at Starbucks.
Walked over to Taka and bought their gifts and proceed over to Mandarin Gallery as I'm meeting Ken for dinner. As it was still early, I secretly walked past his boutique to see if he's there. To my dismay, he's not there so I decided to sit at the resting area near the toilet to wait for him. Luckily I've downloaded my favourite drama hence I could kill time.
Received his call around 7pm that he's at Cine already. Rushed over and we went to Heeren for dinner. Watched Valentine's Day after that. It was a nice show.
After the show, we drove to Changi for fun. Drove around aimlessly and then ate supper at East Coast Mac before sending me home.
We also had some heart to heart talk.
Thanks dear for the assurance. It definitely made me feel better. =)

Today we ended work at 2pm as all of us were required to attend our company's annual Dinner & Dance.
When I reached home, I realised that I left my invitation card in office! Shit!
I immediately called my dad and he volunteered to send me to office to collect the invite and then send me to Suntec.
OTW to Suntec from office.
Shit! Traffic jam!

Ken came to pick me up from my house and we went to meet Jeremy up at Kembangan MRT station.
After that, we went to Frankel Ave to buy the food for our JC class BBQ at night.
On our way back, Jeremy alighted at Holland V to buy laksa for the guys.
Shortly after, Yuan Peng came. He helped us to buy the drinks from opposite Ken's house while Jeremy and I play Guitar Hero.
Jonathan came next, followed by Emily and Pei Shan. We started the BBQ pit without Junwen's help! WOOT!
It's been so many years since the last time all of us met up. It was fun catching up again.
All left around 10.30pm and those who stayed played cards with Ken's mum, sister and Nicholas. Played Black Jack, Texas Holdem and In Between. I lost about $30. It was like a pre-CNY gambling session. HAHA.
The rest left about 1am and then Nicholas, Ken, his sister and I went to Geylang for tim sum supper. It was UBER!
Reached home around 6am. Crashed.
Wednesday 10th February 10
Went to Taka to buy Annie's farewell gift as it's her last day tomorrow.
After buying, I gave Ken a call. Actually I wanted to give him a surprise by popping by his boutique and have dinner with him but realised that he actually has a dinner date with Nicholas. Hence, I joined the 2 of them at Paragon Din Tai Fung.
Walked back to Taka as Ken wanted to buy his CNY shoes from Bally. Met his dad there too. After that, we went to his boutique at Mandarin Gallery and we left around 12am.
Thursday 11th February 10
Today was Annie's last day. Jean, Elisa and I cried when she left at 6pm. Annie cried too. So sad. All of us are leaving. Next will be Elisa and then Jean. =(
Rushed down to Wisma after that for hair treatment. Need to doll up for CNY mah. Haha.

Sorry for not wishing you on time as I was very affected by the things happening around me.
Anyway, my boss resigned today and was paid notice in-lieu. Hence it was her last day. =(
We cried when she was packing her things. The whole department was very demoralised.
Haiz.
We decided to boycott the CNY tea session at 3pm but we attended in the end as our SVP asked how come HR did not turn up.
We ended work at 5pm and I stayed back to do spring cleaning. Wow, the last time I cleaned my workstation was during the previous spring cleaning 1 year ago. Imagine the thick layer of dust! YUCKS!
Saturday 13th February 10
Went to Holland V at 11am for my mani & pedi appointment. Wow, their business was damn good and the place was very packed.
Although the place was crowded with customers, their service was excellent!
I really enjoy having my nails done. =)
Reached home and realised that my aunt and grandma were already at my house preparing for our CNY eve dinner.
My relatives started to come over around 6.30pm and we started dinner at 7pm. Dinner was good and I got to eat my favourite Foo Chow 'yan'.
After dinner we sat together and watched tv and ate dessert. All left around 10pm.
My sisters and I continued to stay up for the countdown to CNY.
Finally slept around 2am. Zzzz...

Today my department went to Holland V's Swensens for lunch. It was for Annie's farewell.
We were the largest group there, and together with loud hailers like Annie, Krishnan, Cat and Charlotte, we contributed the most to the noise pollution there. Haha.
After work, I met my colleagues for Left 4 Dead 2 at Iluma. It was cool shit! I love Iluma as there's headphones and microphones so we can communicate with each other without shouting across. We cleared an average of 1 map per hour. Left for supper around 2am and went home after that.
Saturday 30th Jan 10
All of us, Kenny, Sui Chuan and Nicholas went over to Ken's place as the plan was to go Sentosa in the evening for the flying fox thing but we ended up going tomorrow as it was about to rain when Ken reached home.
In the end, we ate dinner at Greenwood Fish Market and then went for the movie 14 Blades at Great World City.
Headed back to Ken's house for sleep over as they intended to go to Sentosa early the next day.

Monday 01 Feb 10
Left office with Jimmy around 5pm as we had to attend Marina Bay Sands North Podium's Top Up Ceremony/3 Million Accident Free Manhours.
Got GPS also no use. The road is changed. Haha.
We were lost as there was no signage to the place. We drove round and round at Marina South and at last, we met our Company vehicle, which ferries our CEO & President. Followed the car and finally reached the event venue.

Rushed to GWC for my Body Combat class and Ken came to pick me up after that.
We went for dinner at Holland V Swensens before heading over to his boutique at Mandarin Gallery.
He got the distributorship of another brand and had to display the charms up. Hence, I helped him to arrange the charms and wow, did I do a great job! HAHA. I was very surprised with my creativity. Ok don't puke.
We decided to stop work at 2am as I have work the next day. It was really fun and I find it a good way for us to bond. Bonding time!

Elisa, Jean, Annie and I met Joo Hong at the taxi stand and we went over to Holland V for dinner. We had made a reservations at Essential Brews for dinner. Why EB? Because none of them have been there before and I like the food and ambience there.
Got to know a lot of juicy info from Joo Hong. Wow, he is indeed our scholar! All-rounded one too. LOL.
Left the place around 10pm as Joo Hong stays far away from the West. Heh.

Joined Ken and his family for dinner at Vivocity's Tung Lok.
Tung Lok seems to be one of his parents' favourite restaurants.
After dinner, Ken sent me and his bro's gf home before rushing home to send his parents to the airport.

Friday 29th Jan 10
Today my department went to Holland V's Swensens for lunch. It was for Annie's farewell.
We were the largest group there, and together with loud hailers like Annie, Krishnan, Cat and Charlotte, we contributed the most to the noise pollution there. Haha.
After work, I met my colleagues for Left 4 Dead 2 at Iluma. It was cool shit! I love Iluma as there's headphones and microphones so we can communicate with each other without shouting across. We cleared an average of 1 map per hour. Left for supper around 2am and went home after that.
Saturday 30th Jan 10
All of us, Kenny, Sui Chuan and Nicholas went over to Ken's place as the plan was to go Sentosa in the evening for the flying fox thing but we ended up going tomorrow as it was about to rain when Ken reached home.
In the end, we ate dinner at Greenwood Fish Market and then went for the movie 14 Blades at Great World City.
Headed back to Ken's house for sleep over as they intended to go to Sentosa early the next day.

Left office with Jimmy around 5pm as we had to attend Marina Bay Sands North Podium's Top Up Ceremony/3 Million Accident Free Manhours.
Got GPS also no use. The road is changed. Haha.
We were lost as there was no signage to the place. We drove round and round at Marina South and at last, we met our Company vehicle, which ferries our CEO & President. Followed the car and finally reached the event venue.

Jimmy and I left the event around 7.30pm and he drove me to Marina Bay MRT. From there, I took a train down to town to meet Ken for dinner at Cine.
After dinner, we went over to his new boutique at Mandarin Gallery for awhile before heading home.

Rushed to GWC for my Body Combat class and Ken came to pick me up after that.
We went for dinner at Holland V Swensens before heading over to his boutique at Mandarin Gallery.
He got the distributorship of another brand and had to display the charms up. Hence, I helped him to arrange the charms and wow, did I do a great job! HAHA. I was very surprised with my creativity. Ok don't puke.
We decided to stop work at 2am as I have work the next day. It was really fun and I find it a good way for us to bond. Bonding time!
