Monday 19th October 09
Reached home, had my dinner and waited for Wanyui to pick me up. We had a movie date to watch Julie and Julia as we shared the same ambition.
She was supposed to come at 9pm but in the end came around 9.30pm. We were late for the show! Sped down to West Mall. She dropped me off to buy the tickets while she parked her car.
The show was awesome! Very hilarious and motivational! We had a great time laughing.
Sent me home after that.
Tuesday 20th October 09
Rushed to GWC after work as I had Combat classes at True Fitness.
I really enjoy combat classes. It makes me forget myself and also helps in relieving my stress after a long hectic day at work.
After the class, I went back to the changing room to cool down before I continue with the appointment with one of the personal trainer. This was when I noticed Jeremy(Pam's bf) working out at one of the machines. LOL.
The Personal Trainer tried to kill me. Asked me to do lots of things... I ran the treadmill, did push ups, sit ups, squats etc. At the end, I was damn tired... Muscle ached like HELL!!!!!
I'm glad that the 1 hour session has ended and went for my well deserved cold shower... WAH... Shiok!
Most important thing, Baby came back today! He gave me a call once he reached Spore but I was busy doing workouts... Saw a missed call from him and that gave me a boost in energy! WOOT!

Happy Birthday Baby!
After work, I rushed down to Paragon to meet baby for birthday dinner at Lawry's Prime Rib.
He had the birthday voucher which entitled him to a birthday dessert. He made it very clear to the waitress that he did not want them to sing him the birthday song when they serve him the dish. Haha...
After the dinner, he sent me home as both of us had to work the next day.
Thursday 22nd October 09
My dad came to pick me up after work as we were supposed to eat at his friend's restaurant at Iluma.
Before that, we picked up my little sister from BC and then dropped me off at SMU to pass Jeremy a cheque.
I have already mentioned about my dad friend's restaurant in my previous post. Apparently the food now taste better due to our feedback. Haha.
After dinner, I rushed over to Bugis Junction to look for Jean's welcome present. We were supposed to buy food for her as she is a hardcore fan of OT.
After searching high and low, I managed to find the sweets with her favourite cartoon character printed on it! YAY!
Went home with a pair of tired legs... I've been suffering from muscle aches for the whole of this week. SUCKS!
Friday 23rd October 09
Today Annie and I tried to make time to clear Jean's workstation and did the 'preparations' for her arrival. Yes, she resigned previously and is now returning! Everyone is happy that she's coming back. =)
After work, I rushed down to Bugis to meet Elin and Becca to shop for our Halloween costume.
Becca would be late so Elin and I walked over to Rochor Centre to search for costume rental shops but to no avail.
Becca joined us shortly and we went to Toys R' Us at Suntec. Nothing was suitable but we managed to buy some blood gel thingy.
As Elin had to meet her friends for movie, Becca and I continued in search for the eye make up.
In the end, we did not buy anything. LOL.
Something happened after that. Haiz.
Saturday 24th October 09
Went for breakfast with my mum before meeting up with Elin and Becca at Arab Street to continue our search for halloween costume.
We started off with a rental shop at Bali Lane but the costumes were more for D&D. Hence, we walked over to Aliwal Street to another costume rental shop. Reached there and realised that they have moved to Kallang. So we took a cab there.
When we reached there, we were impressed by what they have. You name it, you get it!
We settled with witch costumes. Ya, we'll be dressing up as witched on Saturday night. Hmmm, I'm still thinking if it's a good idea to dress the same. Oh well, maybe I can do some modification to it.
Bid our farewells and I went over to Bugis Junction for late lunch with my mum and little sis.
After that, I rushed home to change for the night event. Met up with Ken, his sis, bro, cousin, Kenny and Ivan for steamboat dinner at Sunset Way.
After dinner, Ken drove us to Night Safari while the other driven by Sam headed to Tiong Bahru to pick his gf up before joining us at NS.

Carol's back in SG!
Met up with my girls at Orchard mrt at 7pm.
We walked over to Taka for dinner at Tampopo. They opened an outlet there.
Ordered our ramen and started catching up again. Got to know that Carol quit her job in China and will be coming back for good. Currently, she's actively looking for job.
And our usual topic, 'Who's getting married' and 'Who's buying house' again. Haha. Maybe girls around our age are starting to prepare for marriage and hence, the topic. Many of our schoolmates are married. Recently, got to know that Qianhui, our Sec school friend just got married. Congrats once again! You looked very beautiful and blissful. =)
So far only Jingwen and Elin are queuing for flats. Hope to hear wedding bells soon!
As usual, we girls got very excited in our conversation and started talking and laughing loudly... Forgot that there were people around us. LOL.
Made plans for Halloween too. All of us were excited!
After dinner, we walked around to source for the garter belt while Carol left for another appointment. Busy girl...

Today is my mum's birthday!
Dad came to pick me and sis up after work/school and we went for dinner at Sze Chuan Court at Raffles City.
Dinner was fantastic.
After dinner, we went to buy my mum's favourite mango cake and went home for the cake cutting 'ceremony'.

Left office on the dot and went to GWC for Body Combat class at True Fitness.
It was quite rush for me as I missed the earlier bus and had to buy makeup wipes from Guardian.
Managed to reached there on time for the class.
A lot of new faces... Many beginners which means I'll not make a fool of myself. Haha.
After 1 hour of vigorous workout, I felt refresh and happy despite the muscle ache. Went for a shower before meeting the sales personnel to sign up for a 2-year membership. The rationale for signing up is to keep myself fit and to rid of the tummy! Piggy always comment that I have tummy and he likes to squeeze it! ROAR!!!!!!
Reached home and KO-ed.

Took halfday off today.
My colleagues and I went to ABC market for lunch today as my boss, David and the management went to Industrial Arbitration Court for a case hearing.
I left office around 1.30pm and headed to town. Bought coffee and sat at the cafe at Wheelock and read a book while waiting for the 4.30pm shuttle bus to Camden Medical Centre for my appointment with Dr Jerry Tan.
The book was so interesting that I almost missed the bus. LOL.
After seeing Dr Tan, he told me that my eyes are ready for the surgery. Hence, my appointment for the surgery is scheduled on 06 Nov 09. That's the earliest available slot. Wah... So long... Which means I'll have to wear my specs for another 2 weeks! Booo...
Went home after the appointment.
After dinner, my mum drove me and my sis out for dessert at Macs. I love the Koko Crunch MacFlurry! Yummmm....

Went for breakfast with my family and then went to my dad's office as he had to settle some stuff.
After that, we headed to Orchard Central to take a look. Nothing much...
B-O-R-I-N-G.
After shopping, we went to Riverwalk for seafood dinner at Jumbo!
OMG! Pepper crab!!! My favourite! It was finger licking good.
After dinner, we went for dessert at the Haagen Daz booth outside Hilton hotel. Ultimate combi! Crab followed by ice cream. WOOT!
Today's Sunday and in another few hours' time, it'll be Monday...
Let's count down to Monday Blues... =(

Went for my eye assessment again at 12.15pm to check if the 'snowstorm' has subsided. Haha...
The doctor gave me some iodine eye drops and took some pictures of my cornea. He told me that the white spots have cleared only a few spots left. Hence I'll have to come back on Friday for another eye checkup before arranging the actual operation date. How much longer must I wait? I'm sick of wearing my spectacles everyday! It is so troublesome and I looked like some nerd. =(
Anyway, I was shocked when I wiped my eyes with tissue after the consultation.
Yellow tears!!!! (okay I know it looks gross)
But I realised that it was the effect of the iodine eye drops. HAHA...
Anyway, FE will be building terrace houses opposite my house and they have recently started the site works. It's messy, dusty and noisy! URK!
After resting for 2 days, tomorrow will be Monday again. Haiz, work... Zzzz...
I'm looking forward to next Tuesday as Piggy will be back! Hooray! =)

I forgot about this update. Haha...
Ken came to pick me around 7.30pm as he had to send his bro to Pasir Ris to book in.
We went to East Coast Seafood Centre for dinner at Jumbo! Yum...
When we reached there, Siew Yan and Mike were already there. Her tummy doesn't look like 6 months pregnant. Heehee... This was the 2nd time meeting them since the Night Safari outing.
We ordered 1 Chili crab, 1 pepper crab, salad youtiao, veggie and drunken prawns.
The food was damn good. Dessert after that too...
Chatted and left around 10pm as the boys wanted to watch the Liverpool vs Chelsea match at 11pm and the girls have to work the next day.

Went for the Corporate Social Responsibility ISO seminar with my boss as I was tasked by her to come up with a policy on this. My biggest KPI for FY08/09. =(
The speaker was a Caucasian from South Africa.
It was an arduous 3 hour seminar which my boss and I almost dozed off and the person beside me was shuffling in her seats all the time...
After the seminar my boss and I left for office as we did not want to waste time there.
I left office at 6pm sharp for home as I am meeting Wanyui for dinner.
She came around 7.45pm to pick me up with her new Picanto! After much consideration, we decided to eat at 211 Roof Terrace Café at Holland V. It was an Australian and Italian cafe.
The food was nice and the ambiance was great! Had so much things to talk about and I realised that we have almost similar ambition.
After dinner, she drove me home. Owning a car is so much fun... But at the expense of your wallet of course.

Went for my eye assessment at Jerry Tan's clinic at 11am.
There were only 3 people there at the waiting area. I guess it was still early for the crowd to come in.
First, I had to complete a survey and read through the terms and conditions of the surgery.
Next, I was brought to many different rooms to run tests on my eyes. For example, to measure the depth of my eye, size of my pupils, shape of my pupil, thickness of my cornea, size of my cornea etc... Then during lunch time, I had to watch a video about the things that I should know about the whole LASIK surgery and the pros and cons.
It was during this video that the nurse came in to give me 3 doses of 2 different types of eye drops. The eye drops were supposed to relax my eye muscle for the next few eye tests. The side effect of the eye drops were that I can't focus on near objects with my spectacles on. So it was arduous for me as I had to rely on my spectacles to see far and remove my spectacles when I focus on something within reading distance. HAIZ....
Luckily, this effect will wear off after 2 days.
So for the next few hours, it was more eye tests and more waiting...
Finally around 4.30pm, I was able to speak to Dr. Jerry Tan regarding my surgery. He did 1 test on my eye and exclaimed:
"Snowstorm!"
He continued to explain and showed me magnified shots of my eye. I saw many tiny white flakes on my cornea. Those were the accumulated dead eye cells over the many years of wearing contact lenses! OMG! He told me that it is common for this to happen to many contact lens wearer.
I would suggest that all contact lens wearers to go for eye checkup!
Because of this, he will have to postpone my surgery as he had to treat my eye 1st.
While paying at the cashier, I was given 2 eye drops, one to clear the dead cells and the other for my dry eye.
The consultation and medication amounted to $490+. OMG...
My next appointment will be on next Saturday to check if the dead cells have cleared so that I can schedule for my surgery.
Will update on the results... Till then, I'll have to be an obedient patient and use the eye drops as instructed for 1 week!

So it was arduous for me as I had to rely on my spectacles to see far and remove my spectacles when I focus on something within reading distance. HAIZ....
Luckily, this effect will wear off after 2 days.
So for the next few hours, it was more eye tests and more waiting...
Finally around 4.30pm, I was able to speak to Dr. Jerry Tan regarding my surgery. He did 1 test on my eye and exclaimed:
"Snowstorm!"
He continued to explain and showed me magnified shots of my eye. I saw many tiny white flakes on my cornea. Those were the accumulated dead eye cells over the many years of wearing contact lenses! OMG! He told me that it is common for this to happen to many contact lens wearer.
I would suggest that all contact lens wearers to go for eye checkup!
Because of this, he will have to postpone my surgery as he had to treat my eye 1st.
While paying at the cashier, I was given 2 eye drops, one to clear the dead cells and the other for my dry eye.
The consultation and medication amounted to $490+. OMG...
My next appointment will be on next Saturday to check if the dead cells have cleared so that I can schedule for my surgery.
Will update on the results... Till then, I'll have to be an obedient patient and use the eye drops as instructed for 1 week!

Hi people! Recently I'm quite lazy to blog... Slept very early every night. I'm such a pig... =)

Thursday 24th September 09
My whole department went out for lunch today as 1 of our colleague will be flying back to Bahrain. We ate at Botak Jones @ Depot Road.
My boss wanted to give us a treat but in the end, we paid. HAHA.
Saturday 26th September 09
Met up with a friend for dinner at Manhattan Fish Market. It's been awhile since we last met up. The usual updates of our lives and some hands-on session with the DSLR.
After dinner, I went home to change and then set off for the airport as Ken is coming back from Hong Kong. As I was hungry, my parents and I had some snacks at T1 before dropping me off at Budget Terminal at 1am. I was quite surprised that he was flying by Tiger as he is a die hard fan of SIA. He had no choice as all flights were fully booked.
Anyway, I bought a cup of hot tea and sat at Mcdonalds. To kill time, I brought along my ipod and NDS. I waited from 1am to 3am and then walked over to the arrival hall but realised that his flight was delayed! OMG.
I felt damn happy when I saw piggy walked through the glass door. This was my 1st time picking him up at the airport and at such a weird time! LOL.
Took a cab back to his house. Slept around 5.30am. Zzzz...
Sunday 27th September 09
Woke up at 10am and went to Ghim Moh market for brunch. Went back to his house and Kenny came shortly after that. We wanted to play mahjong but everyone was too tired and Ken's sister had to leave. In the end, we didn't play and watched Final Destination 4 and Ice Age 3.
Ate some otah and spaghetti before sending me home around 6.30pm.
Had dinner at home and watched F1 for about 30mins and KO-ed around 8.30pm till the next morning. HAH.
Tuesday 29th September 09
I rushed home after work because today is Fann Wong's wedding! Mediacorp will be doing a live telecast of their wedding dinner!
What I can say after watching the show was that both of them are still very in love although they have been together for 9 years before getting married. This sort of gave me some faith........
Wednesday 30th September 09
Took a bus down to town after work as I am meeting Ken, his sister and Kenny for dinner. I reached there early hence I walked around to kill time.
Saw Kenny at level one and then Ken came shortly after. We walked to The Ship Restaurant as his sister was already there waiting.
The place was quite empty as it was a weekday. Try coming on a weekend.
Wah didn't know that we can actually crap so much... HAHA. So funny...
Realised that we were the only customers left so we decided to leave the place.
We headed back to Ken's place and Kenny waited for his friends to pick him up from there. I stayed for awhile before piggy sent me home as I have to work the next day. Before leaving, he passed me some mooncakes for my parents. His parents bought them from Hong Kong. It was from some famous mooncake shop in HK and most importantly, it was snowskin mooncake! Yum...

My colleagues and I were supposed to go for Dim Sum lunch at Prima revolving restaurant but due to last minute arrangements, we went to Breeks at Harbourfront instead.
The food was nice.
We reached office late as the shuttle bus was crawling back to PSA Building. I settled some issues before setting off for Suntec. I had to attend some Foreign Manpower seminar at The Rock auditorium.
The event was supposed to start at 3pm but when I reached there, they told me the event will commence at 3.30pm instead. Hence, I gave Wanyui a ring and met her for drinks as her branch was there.
When I stepped into the audi, I was shocked to see the crowd there! Full house!
Anyway, everything ended at 5pm and I did some window shopping before my dad came to pick me up after dropping my little sister off at BC.
As there was 2 hours of spare time to kill, we went to Ion.
We ate at Tea Loft and then went to the newly opened Prada store! Heh heh...
After walking around, I was quite disappointed with the designs that they have. I am still thinking about buying the Chanel bag that I saw. =(
After that, we went to pick my little sister up at BC and then went for dinner at The Ship. AGAIN!!!! At least for me. HAHA.
Ok guys, I should go and sleep. I'll be having eye assessment tomorrow at Camden Medical Center. Till then.... =)
