My love just gave me a pleasant surprise! =)

Our conversation over the phone:

Ken: 'What are you doing now?'

Me: 'Surfing net lor...'

Ken: 'Orh... Tell me which flavor is nicer, Belgium Chocolate or Choco Choco Chip?'

Me: 'Erm, why you ask such funny question?'

Ken: 'Quick, tell me leh. I'm buying something lah.'

Me: 'Choc Choc Chip!' (my fav actually, LOL)

Ken: 'If not nice then you know...'

Me: '.........'

Ken: 'Come down lah, I'm outside your house.'

Me: ^_^

Immediately, I jumped out of my bed and rushed out.

When I open the gate, he was there in the car and I saw Haagen Dazs!!!

Awwww, thanks dear! Very sweet of you. Despite your wisdom tooth extraction, you came to look for me with my fav ice cream! =D

Anyway, I've been very busy recently. Didn't get the chance to update Part 2 yet. Will try to update but it will be a very long post. LOL.

Till then.

Hokkaido Trip

Day 1 and Day 2
My family and I went to Hokkaido for 7 days. Took the night flight there.
Reached Narita International Airport at 6am and then followed by a 45mins drive to Haneda Airport in Tokyo for a domestic flight to Chitose - Sapporo.

At Narita Airport.
Photobucket

In the coach to Haneda Airport.
Photobucket

At Haneda Airport.
Photobucket

Lunch at the Ramen shop.
Photobucket

The toilet in Japan is uber cool!
Photobucket

TV in the toilet!
Photobucket

And there was baby seat in the toilet!
Photobucket

It was all white when we stepped out of the airport! It was freezing too!
Photobucket

Photobucket

1st stop, Ainu cultural village and museum! BORING!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Cultural show.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Next stop, Hell Valley. Can see the steam coming out from the ground.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Checked in to the hotel after that and had our 1st Japanese style dinner.
Photobucket

Photobucket

They also had Karaoke! Our tour guide Joe, made us go up and sing. Of course I didn't go up. Haha.

2 sisters from a family singing.
Photobucket

Joe also sang...
Photobucket

After dinner we went to explore the streets outside. Went to the 7-eleven to buy food! Because of the cold weather, we tend to get hungry easily.
Photobucket

We saw this public hot spring (for feet only) along the road! Wow! The people here really know how to enjoy life!
Photobucket

After that, my mum, sisters and I booked a private hot spring to ourselves! Wow, the water was 44 degree celsius! My skin turned red once I stepped in the water! Sorry ah no photos for this as for some hygiene purposes (a rule stated by them), we had to be stark naked in order to go into the water.

Day 3
Snow mobil time!
Photobucket

Photobucket

All geared up!
Photobucket

Next stop, bear ranch.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Had sashimi and steamboat for lunch! We got to pick our own seafood!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Nice view too!
Photobucket

Day 4
First stop was the twin waterfall. The wind was very strong here hence, my nose, ears, fingers and toes nearly froze and drop off.
Photobucket

Frozen!!!!
Photobucket

Ice breaking cruise next!
Photobucket

Photobucket

No ice as it was only -7 degree celsius that day. The sea water will freeze under -9degree celsius condition. =(
Photobucket

Photobucket

Swan lake after that!
The scenery was breath taking! A good spot for couples! At that moment, I was wishing that Ken was here with me so that I can hug him! =(
Photobucket

Feeling emo...
Photobucket

Checked into another hotel and had Japanese style buffet dinner. Went to a convenient shop again to buy food.
Photobucket

Photobucket

There was also fireworks. I think they had it for 1 whole week!
Photobucket

It was fired on the frozen lake! Damn nice!
Photobucket

Had a mini picnic in my parents room.
Photobucket

Photobucket

My idiotic sis secretly took photos of me! Urk!!! How unglam!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Day 5
As we were checking out of the hotel, it started snowing heavily!
Photobucket

We began our journey again for about 1.5 hours and stopped over at a place with unique restroom....

The toilets were nicely decorated! Where on earth can you find such toilets? The Japanese are really innovative!
Photobucket

Photobucket

After 3 hours of coach ride, we finally arrived at a restaurant for our lunch. When everyone stepped into the restaurant, all of us rushed and crowd around the heater to warm our chilly butts.
Photobucket

Sumptuous lunch! Actually most of lunch and dinner resemble this. LOL
Photobucket

As you know Japanese are hardcore smokers, they invented vending machines to dispense cigarettes! Recently they realized that youngsters are starting to smoke hence they implemented the Taspo card system. You will have to reach the legal age to purchase the Taspo card and tap it against the vending machine when buying cigarettes. Cool!
Photobucket

Photobucket

After lunch, we continued our journey back to Sapporo.

On our way, I caught a glimpse of a huge Pachinko parlour!
Photobucket

Stopped by a street that sells local seafood products.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

And then we moved on to their famous shopping street. There's a total of 7 or 8 lanes.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

And once again, we ate soft cream! We heart ice cream!
Photobucket

JR Tower after that...
It was where all the shopping malls are located. There's Daimaru, Seibu, Loft etc... My mum and I bought Burberry Blue Label handbags each! Heh heh... I'm down S$600 immediately. Walked around in search for Agnes B to buy something for Elisa.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

After that, dinner was bbq! We had Kobe beef too!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Took picture with the Kobe beef. Each piece costs us S$100 and it comes along with a certificate! LOL. It's freaking delicious! Really juicy and melts in your mouth! =D~
Photobucket

Day 6
Went to the Ishiya 白恋人 factory cum museum early in the morning. It was a factory in the form of a huge mansion or rather castle? Haha.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

They had a toy museum too.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Toto-chan!
Photobucket

Photobucket

The cafe has exquisite desserts and cakes!
Photobucket

Scenery from the cafe.
Photobucket

Taking photos in the garden.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

And as usual, followed by soft cream again. =)~
Photobucket

Moved on to Otaru Canal.
Photobucket

It was minus 1 degree there.
Photobucket

And also the place which is famous for their music box.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Hmm, what's this place?
Photobucket

Omg! That's the cheapest thing I've seen so far in my 6 days in Hokkaido!
Photobucket

My family went to try. The caramel cream puff was very nice! Who says cheap stuffs are of low quality?
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Yes, I am hungry! HAHA.

As we walked back to the coach, we saw this! 6 layers!
Photobucket

As usual, I couldn't resist the temptation! Well, I had 3 layers only... Dun fret!
Photobucket

Later, we proceeded to Rera Chitose Outlet Mall. Shopping! 0_0
Photobucket

It was damn huge! Many shops like Le Coq, Coach, Levi's, Lee, Swatch, GAP, A|X, Triumph, Wacoal, OshKosh, Billabong, Miss Sixty, Adidas just to name a few.
Photobucket

Photobucket

And we had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant. Yay.

Day 7
Today was our last day there. We arrived at Sapporo airport and took a domestic flight to Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

Checking in at Sapporo airport.
Photobucket

Photobucket

At Haneda airport.
Photobucket

Coach transfer to Narita International Airport. So much traveling... Sigh...
Photobucket

Eating lunch at Narita airport. My dad has cravings for ramen hence we settled at this eatery.
Silly pok pok wants to be on the camera.
Photobucket

The desserts! YUM!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Waiting at the boarding gate.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Bye Japan!

5 interesting facts about this trip:
1. It snowed everyday since the day we landed.
2. I ate at least one soft cream everyday.
3. My family and I visited either 7-eleven or Lawsons every night to hunt for food!
4. I love the toilet bowl seat warmer especially in Hokkaido and couldn't bear to part with it when I'm done with whatever I was doing. A very smart invention indeed.
5. There was layer of ice on the road and almost everyone in my tour group slipped.

I will upload the rest of the photos for my trip in facebook when I'm free.

Stay tuned to Part 2 of my updates!
