updates
22/01/07 - Monday
Attended Cosmetics and Perfume lecture... As usual, the sniffing and passing of perfumes around during lecture.... Most of the samples passed around today were some that my nose resented... Yuck...
After the lecture, I took A1 back to Arts fac for Geog tutorial. Received Eric's sms while on my way there. I was kinda upset when I read the msg. Felt even more pissed when I reached Geog-lab. Sigh... I think some of you might have known what had happened....
Rushed to AS6 for Psych tutorial... Wah, today was a hectic day for me as I have back to back lessons from 12pm-5pm... Had to rush from one place to another... Didn't have time for a munch too. Poor stomach...

Today is my free day!!! Hee... Went to KBox at CCK Lot 1 with pok pok...
Reached there around 3pm... Sang until 7.15pm... FWAH, damn shiok! It's been a long time since I last sang at KBox.

Skipped Microecons lect again... Sigh... I got my own valid reasons! :(
Reached school around 2pm for Personality Lecture... Ok lah, as usual Why Yong Peng entertained us... Haha... :)
Went to visit my grandparents after that... Da pao-ed Mac over to their home. Wah, I ate Prosperity Burger again!!! ROAR!!! DAMN SPICY!!!!
My grandfather is recovering from his stroke... He can now eat solid food but he still can't pronounce his words properly and can't walk that well. Sigh... His birthday is around the corner so I really hope he can walk by himself by then.

Attended Cosmetics and Perfumes Lecture today... Formed project groups after the lecture... My group consists of 2 engine students, 1 arts student and 1 business student. None from Science!!!! That's bad!!! And out of the 4, 1 is a Vietnamese and the other is a PRC. Hmmm..... I've yet to work with a PRC.... Interesting...
Oh ya, some interesting facts to share with all of you....
1) The glabrous skin on the palms and soles are the thickest and have no hair follicles and oil glands.
2) The top layer of the Epidermis is called the HORNY layer or Stratum Corneum. Haha...
3) The Epidermis is the thinnest at the shoulder, followed by the scalp and the thickest at the palm.
4) Each square centimetre of the skin contains on average:
---2,000,000 cells
---1,600 nerve endings
---5 sebaceous glands and hair follicles
---30 sweat glands
---160cm of nerves
---40cm of blood vessels

Went to school for Geog lecture... I love this module man!!! :)
Was thinking if I should join Kor and Eric for lunch and then go to Bras Basah with them after the lecture but too bad, my mum came and fetch me.
Ate at the Secret Recipe in Holland Grove... It's opposite piggy's house... :)
Went to MOS burger for dinner at night because my little sis want to attend the story telling session by NLB...
Wow, MOS burger sells cake???!!!
Nope! It's actually a box of 14 pieces nuggets! Muahahaha....
27/01/07 - Saturday
Went to Thomson Plaza to send my little sis to her Saturday class and then visited the interior designer for our new house.
Discussed about the color combinations for the kitchen cabinets, study room, roof top etc... My parents were pleased with the designs... I'm looking forward to the finished roof garden! Hee... Think it'll be nice! :)
Was supposed to meet Ken to watch the Spore VS Msia soccer match at Kallang but the tickets were sold out!!! Boo....
So I met him at Cineleisure for movie instead. Watched this HongKong film about mahjong... Think it's quite nice! Hee...
After that went to the Hong Kong cafe at Taka for dinner... Proceeded to play pool at Lucky Plaza... We were watching the soccer match while playing... Haha...
I think it was too distracting so in the end, we decided to stop playing and concentrate on the match. I was damn angry when Msia scored their 1st goal! Urkkk... But luckily Spore managed to score 1 goal later on... The extra time was damn sian as none of them scored but I think the penalty was damn exciting! The malays around us were cheering and booing too... All of us were supporting the Spore team! I was cringing as they kicked... In the end, Spore team won!!! Everybody there were cheering like mad! Ken and I were one of them too! Hee... Way to go! :)
I'm going to get tickets for the Spore vs Thailand match! Anyone wana go too? Hee.... :P

15/01/07 - Monday

Ok, they were smelling the tissue papers. Yes it happened during the Cosmetics and Perfumes lecture. The lecture topic was on how to smell perfumes and categorize the different scents. Prof Celine Liew came to lecture with 8 boxes of Kleenex Aroma tissue papers. There were 3 different types, Lavender, Sandalwood and Rose I think... She wanted us to take a piece of the tissue and sniff... Ya it smelled nice... Had the soothing and calming effect... Ahhhhh....

Today's my free day... Yayness! Signed up a package worth 2K!!!!! OMFG!!!! Hope it'll be worth the moolah! Ok, now i'm SERIOUSLY broke! Must start saving up again. I SHALL NOT SQUANDER AGAIN IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. I shall repeat this to myself when I have to urge to buy something.... To my dear friends out there, pls remind me not to spend money when you peeps see me searching for my wallet in front of the cashier! Thanks guys!
Went to eat dinner at Sakae(Park Mall outlet) with my family... It's a new outlet! I think the place is quite nice... Very bright! I love white lighting! =)

Skipped Microecons lect... Oops... Hee.. Couldn't wake up lah... Furthermore I can just read from the textbook!!! The lecturer sucks! He and his Indian accent! Duno what he's talking about...
Reached school super early for Personality lect... Went to buy waffles from the temporary stall outside Arts club room...

Munching on my waffles... Without filling!!! Yucks... No taste lor...
After the lecture, I went to Central Library to print notes... I was the 2nd person in the queue to print my notes BUT the girl in front of me seemed to take eons to print hers!!!!!!! I started waiting for her to finish since 4.15pm and I was still waiting by 5.10pm!!!! I stood there like an idiot waiting for this inconsiderate girl to finish hers!!!! She was hogging the printer and the queue after me was damn long! I took a peep over her shoulder and guess what I saw?!! The notes that she had printed so far was like an inch high and the worst thing was that she still had about 6 job status on the screen!!!!
I was freaking pissed! Never in my entire 2 years plus in NUS did I feel so pissed at someone! My mum called me on the phone asking what took me so long(she came to pick me up) as she was waiting in the carpark for like 20mins. Freak lah! In the end I told my mum to leave w/o me as she was in a hurry... Guess what, she finally finished printing around 5.30pm! GOSH! I've waited from 4.15p-5.30pm! Ok, I shall not talk about this already... My blood is boiling now as I type... URK!!!

A long day for me.... I was in school from 12pm-6pm... Sigh... Had a 2hrs break in between... So sad, nobody's free to lunch with me... Sob...
Just some random thoughts... I think my Alcohol, Drugs and Behaviour lecturer is cute and funny! He's an American! Haha... He never fails to make the class laugh! Oh ya, Joy told me something that she noticed on the lecturer. I gasped and almost died laughing after hearing that! Guess what she told me? Hee... If you're kaypo enuf, come n ask me... Hee... =)
Ate dinner with my family at West Coast Mac because there was a heavy traffic jam outside NUS, all the way to Sunset way...
I tried the Prosperity burger with my mum... Think that Mac should do something to the packaging as the sauce was leaking and everything was just messy! I had a difficult time eating the burger!
After dinner, I drove my family back... I was feeling damn stressed as the traffic didn't improve at all! I had to constantly switch from the accelerator and the brake! My right foot was tired... Haha... Oh ya my car almost kissed the car in front! The driver brake suddenly and I almost couldn't stop in time. Urk! Well, my family managed to reach home in one piece! Hee... It's been a long time since I last drove... Lazy lah.... =) Piggy, next time drive me k!

Went to school for my tourism module... I think this is the only module that I always look forward to... T.C. Chang is really good! He is very humorous too! Very fun! Met up with Jonathan Fong(CJC) to sell him my History textbook... Wah lau, already told him that I'm selling it for 28 bucks already yet he brought $26! Urk!!!!! Sian... In the end collected 26bucks from him... Hmmm, a good way to reduce the price huh!!!!
After the lecture, I went over to piggy's house to watch Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo since I'm meeting Joy and gang at 6pm. There's time to kill.... Wana to see my piggy too... OINK! =PP
Left piggy's house around 5.30pm and I'm super late! I'm meeting Joy, Jonny and Boobz at Golden Mile Tower for steamboat! I need to take bus 156, change to bus 66 and then to bus 100 before I'll reach my destination which is Golden Mile Complex! Wah, it was like a tour around Spore! Started from Bukit Timah road to Aljunied, and then from Aljunied to Geylang and then to Beach Road... The whole journey took me about 1hr and 20mins... The funny thing was that Joy was actually in the same bus as me in bus 100!
I was getting ready to alight at the Golden Mile Complex stop when I noticed that the hairstyle, top and bag of the girl in front of me looked kinda familiar. Looked like Joy's... So I tapped on her shoulder and she was really Joy! She was shocked to find me in the same bus as her too! I didn't see her when I board the bus at Aljunied as it was crowded! Haha... So funny...

After that, we went to chill at TCC... Chatted almost about anything... Views on topics like Sexuality, sexual abuse, gay-ism etc were aired and discussed by Sociology students... Haha... Interesting.... We also shared our first kiss experience, the first time our bf/gf held our hands and the 1st time our bf/gf pop the qns... Haha... So interesting and sweet... =) Left the TCC for home around 11.30pm... Wah, damn tired!
Enjoyed my night with you peeps! This was our virgin steamboat session and hope that there'll be more to come! =)

update
Due to popular demand, I shall take some time off my busy schedule(more like lazy HAH) to update my blog... Hee...
Well, a lot of things happened within this week...
09/01/07 - Tuesday
The NUS Department of Sociology lost one of its finest professors this afternoon to a heart attack. Prof Ananda Rajah collapsed during a consultation with his honours student and the paramedics arrived to pronounce him dead.
I saw this piece of news on Alvin's blog and was in a state of shock. I took 2 modules(Singapore Society and Cultures & Society) under Prof Ananda before... He was an interesting lecturer who likes to recall and share his personal experiences and also other interesting stories... I still can remember the one about braised duck. Yes, he often share his own cooking recipes during lectures... I enjoyed taking the modules under him...
During that time, his cough condition was so terrible that he almost paused every sentences that he said with a cough! Furthermore during tutorials, he usually gave us a 15min break in between so that he could leave for a puff. Jonathan and I were concerned about him because at that rate, we were afraid that something might happen to him if he doesn't stop smoking. I guess all these were signs that he should have stopped smoking...
I'm really sad to hear that he's gone... Until today, I still can't believe the fact that he's gone...

Went clubbing with a friend at OBar... She brought another friend(A) along and that friend introduced another friend(B) to us...
I was feeling kind of bored at the beginning... Was missing my piggy... Wished you were there...
We played games and the guys kept losing to us... I think A drank too much, got a little high and thus had the courage to 'hurt' my friend. After that, things got emotional.... I don't want to elaborate further... All I can say was that my friend made the correct decision... Way to go pal! Stay strong k!
(If my friend happens to read this entry, pls don't give urself away by tagging k! Hee... Don't know if you want others to know so I kept your identity a secret here.)
Wasted trip... A supposedly happy night turned sour... Pui!

It's the 2nd day of school and everything's good so far! *crossing my fingers*
Just came home from Dr. Why's lecture... I took his module, Research and Statistical Methods 1 last year and after that I told myself that I'll not take any of his module in future but.... Haha... I guess it was the interesting module outline that caught my attention... Hmmm, I think some people might disagree with me because this module focuses more on report writing and Stats. Hee... Well, after today's lecture, I think he hasn't change much... Still as sarcastic and irritating but.... I duno why I enjoyed his lecture this time round... Weird....
Hope this semester will be a good one for me.... =)
Btw, Happy 4th Year Anniversary Piggy! Thanks for staying by my side, the constant encouragement and also putting up with my nonsense. Hee... Can't imagine my life without you.... You are my everything! Love ya loads! *muacks* <3

updates
Hey peeps! Sorry for not updating my blog... Was busy with school's stuff... Gotta bid etc...
Oh ya just to update some friends of mine, I'm taking 2 Psych modules(Personality & Individual Differences and Alcohol, Drugs & Behavior), 1 Science module(Cosmetics & Perfumes), 1 Econs module(Microeconomics Analysis 1) and 1 Geog module(Leisure, Recreation & Tourism).
Btw, I'm selling Intro to Computing Textbook, 7th ED... Anyone wants to buy or know friends who wants to buy? Help me ask around ok? Thanks! =)
Now back to some updates of past few days....
06/01/07(Sat) - JC BBQ/Gathering at Ken's House
We were supposed to start at 5pm but everyone was late! I reached there around 4.45pm, followed by YuanPeng and Sophia, then Jonathan, Alexandra, Ziyu and Joyce. Well, we decided to start the pit without our pit master(which is Junwen, bcoz he usually starts the fire for us).
This time round our pit master was Sophia... Hee... She did a great job! =) Just then, Junwen came and he took over the pit job...
YP realized that there were dark clouds looming over us so we decided to move the pit over to the car porch. But.........
We've already started the fire, hence it would be too hot for us to lift up the pit over the rocks and pebbles on the pathway leading to the porch! So all of us brainstormed for ideas.... Finally, we decided to "build a bridge" for the pit! Hee... We removed the rocks and pebbles and used tiles to line a bridge for the pit! We are GENIUSES! Hee...
Carried all the food over to the porch while the guys do their job(moving the pit and carry the tables).
The flame was too fierce so we decided to eat the cooked food(beehoon and fried rice) first. Marie and Corinne came and we started to bbq. It was quite difficult to bbq at first because Junwen added new charcoal in so we had big flames again... Some satay and otah were burnt! We decided to use the aluminium foil to protect the food against the flame... Cooked prawns and pork chop in the aluminium tray... Haha so fun!!!
Ken's parents came back and they bbqed the rest of the food... I was quite stressed when they came back... HAHA... Well, I tried to be myself yet not doing anything funny or stupid in front of them... Hee...
Sophia and Jonathan left around 10pm and the rest of the girls left around 11pm. We(Ken, me, YP, Wanyui and Jeremy) decided to watch dvd because Jeremy was going to fall asleep. Haha... Watched Hostel in Ken's theatre room... Tsk... The show was gross...
After the show, we watched Arsenal vs Liverpool match! Haha... The score was 3-1!!! Go Arsenal! ARSENAL RULEZ! Hee... =)) We bathed after the match and played Settler's of Catan... Ken won... Haha... CHEATER! Hee... (No lah, he did not cheat, just kidding...) Ordered Macs breakfast and ate while we played... Jeremy couldn't take it anymore, so we decided to sleep around 6.30am...
Woke up around 9.30am and continued 2nd round of Settlers... We are hardcore fans of Settlers!
Hee... Ken won again!!!! Wahlau! Sian... Haha... Left for home around 12pm.

08/01/07(Mon) - 1st day of school
Only had 1 lecture on my 1st day of school... It was Cosmetics and Perfumes at Science LT27... Saw Bobby at the bus stop as I need to change to A1/A2 to reach Science.
Reached the LT and saw alot of unfamiliar faces... Was quite sad because I'm taking this module alone... Scanned around the LT and saw a familiar face! Erm, I forgot her name... She is a year 1 student from my HY1101E tutorial class... Dun really know her so decided not to join her... Yeah yeah, I am anti-social... Bleh...
Then I saw another familiar face! CHERYL!!! She was my projectmate for Intro to Computing... Waved at her but she didn't notice me... So I called her on her handphone... She was surprised to know that I'm taking this module too and asked me to join her and her friends... Yayness! Got company le!!! So happy... =)
Chatted for awhile before lecture began... Wow, the lecturer was quite lame... Really! But I guess it's the only way to make the lecture more interesting... The lecturer covered the history of perfumes, the uses and the raw materials for making it. She also passed around a bottle of myrrh and a bottle of frankincense for us to sniff... Wah, the frankincense smelled like sour plum... Haha... She also passed around 3 types of fragrances, A, B and C and wanted us to sniff, vote which one we like and dislike and also to vote which one is for ladies, men or unisex. All these 3 perfumes were manufactured by Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. So fun rite? Hee... Monday lectures will be on perfumes and Thursday lectures will be on cosmetics... Heh... So fun!
At Science Fac... Monday in school.... How depressing...
Sigh... Here I am, back in school...

After lecture, my mum came to fetch me and we went for lunch with my dad at Ivins(my little sis's fav restaurant)... It was at Binjai Park...
