Hey people! Sorry for not updating recently... Was busy with school work and I fell sick on Sun. Down with flu and fever...

Ok, shall just sum up briefly what happened last week...

Well, shall start with the bad news...

My grandpa is on the verge of recovering but he still can't walk. Sigh... Visited him on last thursday. All of us tried our best to persuade him to start walking again... Told him that he has to start walking in order to be discharged from the hospital.

My grandma was sent to the hospital last Friday due to heart failure. All of us kept this from my grandpa and gave him excuses when he asked how come my grandma did not visit him. Sigh... The doctor said that my grandma cannot afford to collapse again. If she does, she may die.......

Really hope that my grandparents will get better soon.....

Went shopping after that... Finally used the Levi's voucher from a friend. Bought an orange colored top and then bought a belt at Far East Level One. Thanks for paying dear! Hee... Next time let me pay myself! (:

Settled dinner at Far East Plaza... Ate at some Hong Kong style cafe...

Went to play arcade at PS... Our favourite Mario Game... Hee... After that moved down to The Cathay for our 2nd movie of the day. We watched Snakes on a Plane.

I must say that it was a terrific show! Very exciting, gory and touching... Hee... Gory in terms of the snakes attacking people etc... No wonder newspaper gave it 4/5 stars! You guys should go watch!

27/08/06 - Sunday

Woke up sneezing and coughing... Urk!!! I'm down with flu and fever. Boo...

Went out to have lunch with my parents.... Went to eat at some dim sum restaurant in Toa Payoh bcoz my mum has the voucher... The food and service sucks... Crowded with people too... No more 2nd visit....

After that, we walked around the shophouses... Drank coffee at our favourite coffeeshop. They sell yummy Rojak! Hee...

While eating, I realized that there's a stall opposite our table which sells some oilment etc... The uncle looks like a quack... To me lah... Heh... My parents were talking about him and I decided to walk over to have a closer look.

My kaypoh little sister came along too. Heard the uncle describe his products and suddenly, I saw a snake on the table. Reminded me of Snakes on the Plane. This was Snake on the Table. Hee....

My little sis went nearer to the snake to take a closer look at it. I had to pull her back just in case the snake decided to attack the irritating little girl... Heh... She told me that the snake is fake. But I think otherwise. Hah.

The uncle started to fiddle with the snake. It was then my little sister knew that it was alive. The uncle tried to feed the snake but I guess the snake was too full as it did not open its mouth. The uncle tried to squeezed the frog into the snake's mouth but it spitted it out. It was too gross to watch so I went back to the coffeeshop.

People crowding at the stall to watch the snake instead of the uncle. Haha.. Took tis pic secretly from far as the uncle dun allow photos to be taken. Bleh...

Ah gong feeling better

Went to visit my grandpa today after my lesson...

Apprehension crept upon me as I slowly approach my grandpa's ward...

Every step I took weighed a thousand tonnes...

Finally, I'm there. Ward 10C, bed 81.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw him lying on his bed...

It was tears of joy and relief...

There he was, sleeping soundly on his bed...

The doctor said that my grandpa suffered from minor stroke. He is lucky that he was sent to the hospital just in time... If not......

Now, he cannot speak clearly... Neither can he chew nor sit up... He has no strength at all...

My grandpa has to attend physiotherapy for about 6-8weeks after being discharged. If he does not recover after the physiotherapy, he might remain like that forever...

I'll pray everyday for you to recover...

God, please watch over my grandpa...

---------------

Thanks Ken, Benjamin, Jethro, Liqing and many more for showing concern and asking about my grandpa's condition...

Thanks for all your concern... I appreciate it alot! (:

Life is fragile, so treat it with care and respect.

Grandpa, get well soon.

My grandpa is in the hospital now... He fell ill on Sunday but was feeling better on Monday...

Today, he fell sick again... Very sick... His face was as white as a sheet of paper and he was talking gibberish.

My mum and my uncles decided to send him to the hospital but he was too sick and weak to walk... So my mum had to call the ambulance... He looked better after wearing the oxygen mask.

He is still at Tan Tock Seng hospital now doing the checkup and stuffs... I hope there's no problem with him...

Grandpa, get well soon...

I want to see the usual you smiling, laughing, the happy and blissful look on your face while whipping delicious food and waiting for all of us to turn up at your house for gatherings...

Just get well and I can give up whatever I have...

Please?

Watched the fireworks yesterday with Ken at Marina Square...

Met him earlier to play pool and then went to play the Mario Game at PS before moving down to Marina Square.

Went we reached MS, wow! It was super crowded! I guess the crowd came to watch fireworks too.

Well, ate our dinner at Cavana. It was packed with people too... Had to wait for empty tables...

After dinner, we went to look for a place with good view of the fireworks.

We ended up waiting at the staircase at level 4 I think... You know, the staircase outside their cinema etc...

There were alot of people waiting there too. We reached there at about 7.30pm, which means we had 1hr and 30mins to spare. Haha... We chatted and joked at the staircase...

We had a nice view of the Esplanade too. The road was congested and the crowd at Esplanade reminded me of River Hongbao during CNY... Haha...

The fireworks started at 9pm. OMG! It was NICE!!!! Yummy! Hee... Both of us liked the gold coloured ones... There was music in the background too.... The fireworks looked as though they were dancing to the rhythm of the music.

It lasted for about 10mins... Ya it was worth the wait.

Watched See No Evil after that... Yucks! Gross.... Heh... The atrium in the show reminded me of the atrium I saw in Saw 2. Hee... Such resemblance...

Nice scenery.... Crowded stairway...

Haha, if you can see... Ken and I. I know it's very dark bcoz I didn't use the flash.

Fireworks Competition 2

Yesterday went to watch the fireworks with my parents... Ya, my whole family likes fireworks... Hee...

Reached there quite late so no choice but to stand at Boat Quay(beside Penny Black) instead of walking over to Fullerton Hotel...

Well... There were alot of people waiting at Boat Quay too... Many were sitting at the pubs and some al fresco dining, waiting to catch a glimpse of the fireworks.

I had a hunch that we might not be able to see the fireworks as the Maybank building would block our view.

It proved me right when the fireworks started! We could only see part of the fireworks... Sigh... Sobz...

Nevermind, I'm going to watch the final fireworks tonight at Marina Square... Gonna make sure I get a clear view of it!

People sitting along the river bank, waiting for the fireworks...

Some came earlier to get al fresco seats...

NDP

Happy 41st Birthday Singapore! I love you!!!!!

What a waste! Sigh....

Went to watch fireworks yesterday with Ken but we did not see any of it... Why? Because our view was blocked by Ritz Carlton and The Oriental. BOO!

Actually my dad already advised me to go to the park near Lavender MRT station(beside Kallang River) as the view would be clearer from there... Well... I decided to stick to MS as it was more convenient... Sigh...

Actually the crowd at Marina Square did not know that their view would be blocked by the hotels, or rather, they thought that the fireworks would be shot at Marina(something like the firework competition)... They were sooooo wrong....

I was worried when the time showed 8.10pm bcoz normally NDP fireworks start at 8pm... And we heard cheers from Esplanade(people who waited there could see the fireworks)... So I called my parents(who were waiting at the park beside Kallang River) and they said it had already started!

Well, might as well leave since we could not see from MS! Better leave before the MS crowd realize it and everywhere would start to jam. The crowd was still sitting there on the steps wondering if the fireworks had ended when Ken and I board the bus, which was leaving for PS...

Such a disappointment for all of us who anticipated at Marina Square...

The huge crowd sitting on the steps facing Esplanade....

Went to PS to play the Mario Game in the arcade since it was still early... Took the same lift as Diana Sir and James Lye!!!!

OMG!!! I was shocked when I turned my head and realized that it was James Lye standing behind me! Woot!!! Realized that he is not as tall as I think he is.

Told Ken and he was kinda surprised too! The 4 of us took the same lift down... Guess what? James Lye held the lift door open for Ken and I! Hee...

Left for Cine after that... Watched The Lakehouse. Not bad... Just that I was confused with the lagging of time... Debated with Ken after the show. Haha...

Had a enjoyable day.... Looking forward to the 11th and 12th firework competition. (:

Fireworks Competition

Went to watch fireworks yesterday with my family...

Was at Harbourfront eating dinner and then rushed down to Esplanade... Actually we were 30mins early but due to the heavy traffic and 'human jam', the fireworks started just as we reached Fullerton Hotel.

It was spectacular! OMG! The fireworks were awesome! Especially the ones which looked like strings of sparks that glided down with the aid of 2 parachutes at the sides.

Everybody was engrossed with the fireworks... Even the cars on the road stopped and turn off their engines to watch... Luckily the TP were not around...

The whole thing lasted for 10 minutes... Well I think it's worth it. I'm going to watch the NDP fireworks tonight with Ken. Hee...

I love fireworks! Yay!

So crowded!

Click and Dan's bday

5/08/06 Saturday

Met Ken for the movie CLICK....

But before that, I accompanied him to go for a haircut. It was at Meridien Hotel...

I did a hairscalp scan too... Yuck.... You people should do it too... After that you'll know how ur scalp looks like after zooming in... Heh.

Ate dinner at PS Mac and then proceeded to The Cathay. The place was crowded with people...

The movie was great! Quite a meaningful show. Ok I did cry... Yeah, as all of you will know by now that the taps in my eyes are malfunctioning... Haha...

The moral of the movie is to truly appreciate and embrace one's life — the good, the bad and the ugly. And most importantly, family above everything else.

Joyce messaged me at the end of the show! I was surprised to receive her msg... She said that there's some fireworks competition going on... Well I missed it... Dun worry people, there will be more on the 8th, 11th and 12th of August.

6/08/06 Sunday

Met Benjamin and Yahui at Marina Square... We were looking for a place to eat and I saw Lester in this shop. Well he's my sec sch friend... Actually my principal's son... Haha... Knew him through a group of friends... Not very close though. Was very surprised to see him there. He's working there.

Danny arrived shortly after we settled down and written on his card. Haha.. He was lost... Heh.

I ordered grilled marinated chicken with ramen... Ok lah, not that fantastic... Sat there and chatted after finishing our food. Dan doodled on the tissue and Lester saw that when he came to fill our cups... He then asked his colleague to hand Dan a piece of paper to doodle on. Haha... So funny!

When we were about to ask for the bill, Ben said that UOB card holders have 15% discount. So he asked the waiter if there's any for debit cards... Then the waiter said that Lester already gave us a 15% discount. Wow, cool!

Then Yahui joked,

"Then can we have another 15% discount(total 30% discount) since we have UOB card?"

All of us laughed at her... Haha... So cute...

Anyway, thanks Lester.

Went to check out the movie timings but all quite late... So we played pool instead. We were trashed by Ben... Haha...

Well, hope you like your present. =P

CORS2

CORS Part II

Yeah, it's like round 1C now and I believe that most NUS students are scratching their head and tugging their hair in frustration and fret, wondering if they will be outbidded by some other students. Well... I can't deny that I am not one of them... Just that.......................

I still can't bid for my last 3 modules... Have to wait for round 2A I think...

Yeah, so far I've got my 2 psych modules(Adolescent Psych and Lab in Developmental Psych) in round 1A. Now I'm waiting to bid for 2 GEMs(Intro to Computing and Intro to Cultural Studies) and 1 UE(Asia and the Modern World).

Hope I will have enough points for these modules as my General Account is running low... Furthermore Intro to Computing will be hot!

Well good luck to me, Eric and Jonny as we will be taking these modules...

Anyway, Ken has just started his 1st day of school today after 2 years of NS(which I think made all guys stupid).... For the 1st time I heard him said that the lecture was interesting and he paid attention to the lecture. Hee... Well... Maybe the 2 years of NS has made him appreciate student life... Keep it up k dear! Study hard!

CORS

It's bidding time!

Hello CORS! I hate you!

Hope I can get the modules that I want! *crossing my fingers*

Wish me luck okay?
