A day at SMU
Met up with Jingwen, Rebecca and Carol today at SMU for lunch. Carol brought Becca and me around their campus while waiting for that slow-poke Jingwen to arrive. She was the tour guide for the day. Haha...
Becca and I were so fascinated by SMU! We saw a Bioterm shop, Optical 88, Killiney, Kopitiam, OCBC and UOB banks(not ATM) in their air-conditioned concourse! Oh my god! So cool! But the only thing that I dislike was their gantry. So inconvenient! I was joking about how SMU students mistook their EZlink card for their access card. Haha... Ok I know, it's lame... We ate our lunch in Killiney and chatted until 3.30pm... Saw many familiar faces while chatting and laughing loudly... Oops... After that Carol left for her class, Becca left to meet Wei Zhen, Jingwen and I went to their GSR to study. As usual blur sotong wen forgot to click the confirm booking button thus we had to leave the room in search for another. Bleh... -_-" Finally booked an empty GSR in SESS... Instead of studying, we took photos with interesting and artistic pose... Haha... Ok we did study after that. She had an online project discussion and I managed to finish 2 pages of my readings. Haha... Efficient and productive? Right... Heh... Wen and I in the GSR... ![]() Spying on the ppl outside the room... ![]() Look where? ![]() Bleh! ![]() Oops! ![]() Yikes!! ![]() We have the whole room to ourselves! ![]() Trying to look like a nerd... ![]() Prof Chen? Muahahaha... ![]() Happy frenz! ![]() Ello? Ello? ![]() Nice leggies! ![]() I left SMU around 6pm to meet Ken at West Mall... We ate dinner at BK and then went to Ezone. Haha... I was eating Swensen's chocolate chip ice cream while sitting on the Daytona seat. I was chewing the chocolate chip when all of a sudden I bit on something hard! I spit it out on my hand and saw something which looked like marble. Ken saw it and asked if it was my teeth... I felt my teeth with my tongue and................... realized that it was my molar tooth! Oh no! It chipped off while i was chewing the chocolate chip! So lucky of me... Boo... Ok time for me to visit the dentist. *ouch* Ok time to slp le... Nitez.... =P

Circumcision
The following entry is a sensitive topic and involves explicit photos. So do not click on the links if you do not wish to look at them or if you have just eaten.
I'm utterly speechless and disgusted! Jonny! How could they do that?! Jonny and I were going through the guidelines for the Culture and Society term paper project when I came across the topic of circumcision... I was curious so I went to google it. I came to this webpage titled 'What happens during circumcision'. I've made a mistake by scrolling down the page... I felt quite sick after looking at the pictures... There were pictures of a baby going through circumcision and a video clip consisting of the process. Oh man! The baby was crying in agony. I feel for the baby... Poor thing. This was not the end! I found out that there's female circumcision, the partial or total cutting away of the external female genitalia! Ok, I have to admit that I didn't know that there's female version of circumcision. It is currently practiced in at least 28 countries stretching across the center of Africa north of the equator; it is not found in southern Africa or in the Arabic-speaking nations of North Africa, with the exception of Egypt. It occurs among Muslims, Christians, animists and one Jewish sect. Oh btw, it is also called Female Genital Mutilation(FGM). After reading the webpage, I now understand why it is called FGM. I was again speechless after reading it. I sent Jonny the link and he was also shocked. There are 3 types of FGM... Click on the above link to find out more... From the website, 4 reasons were given to why this has been practiced, 1) to preserve group identity; 2) to help maintain cleanliness and health; 3) to preserve virginity and family honor and prevent immorality; and 4) to further marriage goals, including enhancement of sexual pleasure for men. Jonny was saying that the forth point is quite off lah... Haha... Actually I also think so too. I think guys will be more shocked instead of the increased pleasure. Bleh! I personally think that they should ban both male and female circumcision although religious beliefs are involved and some believed that it is a rite of passage. I personally feel that it is a form of child abuse and violence against women, a violation of human rights. The girls do not have a choice as the decisions are made by their parents. Those who resist may be cut by force! Anyway, enough said... I'm going to have my dinner soon. Hope that the photos will not affect my appetite! Haha... Signing off...
Stairway to heaven
Awwwww..... I'm loving it! I love it to bits man! I can give up everything for it! Oops... Maybe everything... Hee...
Yeah recently I've been hit by K-wave... It's Korean-wave... Haha... I've been tuning in to the show Stairway to Heaven on Channel U every Mondays and Tuesdays... Seriously, I love this show alot! Ok I have to admit that I'm a person who craves for romance... Yeah that's why I love Korean Drama. All the lovey dovey stuffs and the crying my eyes out scenes... Hee... Only Ken will know because he has seen the worst of me... Bleh... ![]() It is a story about Jung Sah and her best friend Song Joo. As childhood friends, Jung Sah and Song Joo held a special bond within their friendship that blossomed into love. Song Joo leaves to America to study abroad, leaving a sad Jung Sah behind. Jung Sah is left alone to suffer in the silent cruelty of her step sister, Yuri, and new step mother. All the while, Jung Sah tries to be nice to her new step brother, Tae Hwa, who in returns mistakes this friendship for affection. Tae Hwa falls in love with young Jung Sah. The love that heaven forbids and a tragic love story that starts to unfold from here. ![]() Five years later, Song Joo returns home to Seoul, South Korea to bring Jung Sah with him to America to study. Song Joo captures a glimpse of Jung Sah waving at him from afar. For a brief moment, Song Joo can almost touch his heaven. However, he arrives to Jung Sah's side too late. She's been killed - or so Yuri wants everyone to believe. Song Joo never gets over her death. Jung Sah isn't dead though however, she's alive but loses her memory. Her step brother, Tae Hwa, has decided to run away and hide Jung Sah away. He loves her so much that he couldn't have asked for a better gift that she doesn't remember he is her step brother. He lies to Jung Sah that she is his girl friend.Another five years later, Song Joo returns to Seoul from America with Yuri (Jung Sah's step sister). ![]() Yuri is determined to make Song Joo marry her and will do anything for it to happen (yes, that included attempting to kill Jung Sah). Song Joo captures a glimpse of a girl who looks like Jung Sah in the mall. He can't believe his eyes and runs to find her. In his relentless search for this girl, he wonders if it is a ghost or if he's simply gone crazy. Her name is Kim Ji Soo (name given to her by Tae Hwa). She looks exactly like Jung Sah down to the very last detail. Song Joo refuses to let her out of his sight because he believes that it is Jung Sah.Song Joo will do anything to try to make Kim Ji Soo remember if she is Jung Sah. In the meantime, he realizes maybe it really isn't her and he can't force her to believe she is someone for the sake of his good. Song Joo starts to fall in love with Kim Ji Soo the more he spends time with her. However, Tae Hwa and Yuri are determined to not let that happen. ![]() Sad right? Ok, as for the rest of the story, I'll update you peeps when I watch ok? Hee... Anyway, I happened to chance upon this website and I realized that I could buy the twin necklaces worn by both Jung Sah and Song Joo in the show! Wow! My eyes lighted when I saw it! The twin necklaces are designed to be worn as one single necklace with the heart pendant inserted into the ring pendant. It's selling at US$30.99... Heh... *hint hint* Hee.... The twin necklaces... ![]() This is how the female heart pendant is inserted into the guy's ring pendant. So sweet!

Vanity Fair
Today NUSSU organized a Vanity Fair at the Arts Forum. They managed to get companies such as Clinique, Stila, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger etc to come and set up booths.
I went to the fair with Jonny and Peiyin after lunch at Techno Edge. At first we told Jonny that we wanted to take a look but guess what? Haha... We ended up buying the products... Guess how much I spent on the products? Heh... Please don't fall off your chair after hearing it... I spent $156 on Clinique facial care products and Stila cosmetics... I'm still in the state of shock... So shock that I could spend so much on cosmetics... Ken, next time you better earn more money ok? If not how to support me? Hee... Oops... And people guess what? Peiyin bought $123 worth of clinique and Stila products too... Jonny got a shock after hearing that... Haha... Seriously, I think that the products were sold at a cheaper rate during the fair as in compared to the departmental stores. Although Yin and I spent so much, we felt happy because we shopped! Hmmm can this be considered as shopping? I think the only thing that is unhappy will be our wallets. Haha... I guess it's crying right now because there's a hole in it. Btw, listen to this. Peiyin won a mini fridge worth $250 from the lucky draw! Haha... So lucky! But she had too carry it all the way home... Poor thing... I didn't win anything... I'm always very TAU MEI in these kind of events... Sob... 3 Steps to clean and spotless skin... ![]() Want a spotless face? Try these... ![]() 3 eye shadow colors and a blusher... From Stila. ![]() Nice? ![]() I love this man!
