The Summer in Five Pictures

So my summer was pretty fun filled. There were 5 big things that happened I think that I want to outline and they each deserve their own post but I want to briefly go through each them. Just because.

Mexico Cruise
June 14-June 20

We made a few stops, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo and one more I don't remember I think. For me, this trip was all about relaxing. I think I slept like 12 hours every night. I got the chance to zip line and horseback ride in Puerto Vallarta. My mom also got engaged on this trip!

Cheer Summer Camp
June 28-July 1
I learned so much here. I also learned how much fun it was to actually become a cheerleader. I mean I admit it, the "peppy"ness sort of got to me. But all in all it was a super fun experience. I love my team and I love doing what I do.

Key Club International Convention
Memphis, Tennessee
July 7-11
I was so inspired here. I met some amazing people. I'm happy to say that because of this convention I love service so much more, and I can't believe I contemplated not going to this convention at all. Because of this convention, I'm Lieutenant Governor of Division 1 for Key Club and I know none of that would have happened if I hadn't attended this amazing convention.

Europe Trip
Amsterdam/Vienna
July 22-August 1
Wow. I have so many pictures and so many experiences from this trip. I couldn't have been more blessed to be able to have gone. The two guys featured in this picture are 2 twins I met on a cruise 2 years ago to Italy. We met up here and I mostly hung out with them. This was such a fun trip!

Hillcrest Key Club Car Wash
August 6
I love Key Club. You should know that by now. I had so much fun at this car wash. All I can remember is that the cars just kept coming and coming and we got so exhausted by the end. But we did end up making about $300!! We are donating 100 of it to the Kiwanis of Sugar House because they paid for my ticket to Memphis. I also got the worst tan line in the world from this trip. I've taken to covering it up with makeup so it's not as bad.

Well that's my summer mostly. In big events. There was still the Summer Board Meeting for Key Club to talk about and the Dance Company Retreat and opening piece. But I guess we'll get there. Eventually. (Someday like never :P)
That's all f0r now..
With love
-J.

Please don't kill me for not following through.
I DID take a picture everyday.
I just didn't post them.
And now they're all sorts of places ie; camera, phone.
And organizing them would be a pain.
But I WILL be posting things from my summer trips.
Eventually.

But Key Club, Cheer and Dance Company is going great. :)
I will explain further into detail later.
All for now

Day Seven

[Summer.Adventures]
Taking one picture for everyday of summer.
Day 7: Recital CarbsSo today was the day of the UDA recital. I have to say it went pretty well even though I am not completely and utterly exhausted. I was at the lovely Kingsbury Hall from 7:30AM to 10:30 PM. The life of dance, isn't it beautiful? For the morning I volunteered the morning show as one of the helpers in the Kindergarten room and some of those girls never cease to make me smile. Sometimes I wish I could back to the days where I still had all that innocence and freedom. Then from 11:30 to 10:30 I had a recital of my own. I expertly managed to take a nap in between to somehow. And all of this was successfully managed after a water bottle full of orange juice, a tray of sushis (plural of sushi?), three bottles of the Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino (as depicted above, evenly spaced out throughout the day), a Cafe Rio meal and a concluded with a Mango smoothie. Sorry for the boring picture. I'm out of creativity for the week. Tomorrow (rather today) I will be departing for a much needed trip so hopefully there will then be more exciting picturas!

Day 6: Dress Rehearsal Chaos
My life in bullets:

  • Dress rehearsal @ Kingsbury Hall for UDA today.
  • First parking ticket received. Damage: $15.00 fine.
  • Almost received second. Luckily-- avoided (they call it running like a maniac and screaming before the guy wrote out the ticket).
  • Chaotic schedule.
  • No cell phone service in dressing rooms.
  • 1.5 hours late.
  • Retarded contacts.
  • Wasn't able to drive home.
  • Blurry vision. Right eye.
  • Subway for dinner.
  • Recital tomorrow.
  • Leaving on Sunday.
  • When to pack? o.O

Day Five

[Summer.Adventures]
Taking one picture for everyday of summer.
Day 5:
Empty Dollar Theaters on a Thursday Afternoon

And so me, Curtis and Dani decided to go see The Losers at the dollar theaters today. It was practically empty and we all had our feet on seats and I figured it was the perfect moment to take the picture of the day so here it is. About the movie on the other hand? It was alright-- it didn't really make sense to me but I was more happy about kidnapping Dani and just having a movie night and park visit with two of my favorite people :)
(On another note, the UDA Rehearsal is tomorrow and I leave for my Mexico Cruise... I mean to be with my dad cause he has custody ;) on Sunday!)

Day Four

[Summer.Adventures]
Taking one picture for everyday of summer.
Day 4: Where to Next?Yes. I was driving and picture taking. Again. But hey, this picture's cool right? I decided to include my car, Railie, who should be featured upon this blog. Besides that, I'm in my car everyday and the scene was just really pretty while driving to the dentist, it was just too good to pass.

Day Three

[Summer.Adventures]
Taking one picture for everyday of summer.
Day 3: Five AMI was driving with Diego to cheer practice when I took this... yes I took a picture while simultaneously driving. Don't say anything, I mean I'm still alive. It was right before sunrise and I really liked the color of the clouds.
