We finally got out to get pictures in the bluebonnets on April 2. We found a small spot on private property in Pearland, TX. The owners of the property were ok with people taking pictures in the bluebonnets. This year has been a terrible year with the bluebonnets. There's just not as many spots/locations of bluebonnets this year. I think the warmer winter in Houston didn't help at all. So here are our pictures this year! I'm glad I was able to get them. I have gotten pictures of my kids in the bluebonnets for 6 years in a row!

Brandon is 15 months old
Brandon turned 15 months old on March 14 (Pie day)! The big news for this month is he is sitting up almost on his own! I got some pics of him sitting up at a local park. These are the first pictures of him sitting up on his own. He is still not 100% perfect at sitting up on his own, but he is slowly but surely getting there. We are closer than we were. So I am so happy about that!
Brandon had his 15 month check up. It was discovered that Brandon has large tonsils (size 3). We have to see the ENT to determine the next steps for this. Brandon has been having sleep apnea episodes and some snoring so we figured that his tonsils were big. Rachel and Haley had to have their tonsils and adenoids taken out so I know Brandon will be going down that road too. Poor boy! Brandon also has seasonal allergies though it's not bothering him too much.
His 15 month stats at his check up:
Weight: 20 lbs, 10 oz (23 %ile)
Length: 29.5 inches (5 %ile)
Wt/Lt: 48 %ile
Head circumference: they took it but didn't write it down for me.
Brandon is a shorty like Haley and Kayla. Rachel is my only average to tall kid. As big as Brandon was when he was born, I thought for sure he was going to be more on the average/bigger/taller side, but I was wrong. That's okay, he's great just as he is. His smaller size is NOT stopping him from getting around. He is crawling around everywhere! He's still army crawling, but attempting to get up on all fours.
Brandon is eating well. He likes his food! He likes his baby cereal still as well as those Gerber puffs and other Gerber snacks. He doesn't like the yogurt drops at all. We are introducing more textures and foods. He's doing well in this area! We are trying to get him off the bottle, but Brandon is not interested in a sippy cup. Will continue to work on this issue.
Brandon is still not talking or saying any words besides "ma, ma". We are in the process of getting a speech therapist to come evaluate him to see if any intervention is needed.
He continues to sleep well at night though some nights he will cry a couple of times. One of us will go in and comfort him and he will go back to sleep. Most likely he wakes up due to his sleep apnea.
Brandon is a social little boy. He likes to be talked to and he will wave Hi/bye when someone waves to him. We are so blessed to have him in our family.

He kept looking at the grass trying to figure it out. He doesn't like the grass. |
