K is for Kissing

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am on the letter K in my alphabet series. I used the kissing technique on this card today. I stamped the cats using Mustard Seed Oxide ink and then used a dotted background stamp to "kiss" or stamp on top of the cats using Candy Apple Oxide ink. I then stamped the cats onto my card stock. This is a fun and easy way to add texture to an image.

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing a card that I made for a couple of challenges. For the background I used the Hero Arts Daisy Mosaic stencil and blended colors over the stencil using blending brushes. Next I patted the stencil background with a clear Versa Mark ink pad and used a clear glitter embossing powder over it to make the background sparkle. I added a butterfly from the New Day Butterflies Hero arts stamp and die set.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. J is for Jewel Border

I am back again with a card for my alphabet series. I have so many things in my stash that I hardly use and I purged over a third of it when I recently moved! LOL! Anyway, I found some pretty jewel borders and decided to use one on my card today since I am on the letter J. The background of the card was made by spraying aqua and gold Glimmer Mists onto tissue paper. I adhered the tissue paper onto white card stock.

Hi and welcome to my blog! Today the letter is I in my alphabet series and I used Ink Stains on this card. The ink stain bottles have daubers on them, so I pounced the ink stains onto my card to get a splat look. I thought this would make a fun male card. I usually don't have enough male birthday cards.
