Continuing Happy Holidays

Hello everyone and Welcome to the Stamp TV Members December Blog Hop!

I'm so happy that you stopped by to look at my card projects.  I hope you'll leave a message for me, I love reading them and learning about you.

I'm still in a "Christmas  frame of mind" so I made this card for Selma's Blast From the Past Challenge  over at StampTV  The technique is called "Using Colored Pencils and OMS " so check it out.

The dp is from Bo-Bunny's Limited Edition Glitter Series entitled "Snowy Serenade Sparkles".  It is gorgeous paper.  The bottom portion of the card is cs from GKD Pure Luxury Pure White embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (sorry I don't remember the name of it, but it's swirly...kinda looks like snow.)  I layered it on GKD Base Weight CS "Ocean Mist" and then on GKD Pure Luxury "Silver Lining".  The corners were Cuttlebug dyes.  I used 2 GKD stamp sets to make this card.

The cabin and the trees  (I stamped them subtly on the dp) are from the "Life Is Good" set by Theresa Momber.  The sentiment is from GKD "Holiday Hospitality ".  Ink used is Vivid "Aqua "  stamped on GKD Pure Luxury CS and cut then embossed on Spellbinders Shapeabilities "Fancy Tags".  The cabin too was stamped on Pure Luxury Pure White CS, colored using the colored pencil and OMS technique, then cut and embossed using my Nestabilities standard circle large.  Once both the sentiment and cabin were cut and embossed, I sponged them very lightly with  Vivid Aqua before adhering them to the card.

I had a little fun with the trees around the cabin.  I used Flowersoft (Spring Green) on them and then "decorated" them with Ice Stickles from Ranger.  I absolutely love the way it turned out.  The snow on the roof is "Snow Writer" by DecoArt.

The only embellishments I used were self sticking nail heads and ribbon from my stash.

I hope you have a happy, healthy New Year.

StampTV December Member Blog Hop

I'm so excited to be participating in the second StampTV Member Blog Hop! The stamps sets being featured are some of the most creative stamp sets I've ever used and I love, love, love each one of them.

This is one of the first cards I made using the newest stamp set by Nina Brackett, "Lovely Shelf". I'm hoping to add more cards for this hop because designs keep rolling around in my head, so please come back and see if I managed that (It might be difficult because of Christmas, but let's see if I can get'r done ;0) I think I just challenged myself :P )

Take a peak at all the other blogs in this hop by going to Gina K's Blog , she has them all here .

Life is Good Blog Hop

Hello, and Welcome!  Tonight we are featuring the stamp set "Life is Good" by Theresa Momber.

You're invited here,  so come, smell
the fragrant pine as the cold winter air blows, mingling it with the snow laying on it's branches.  Feel the gentle crunch of snow, as it breaks beneath your feet, while you carefully make a path toward the curiously soft light you see illuminating from the cabin window.  Tonight you will sleep under the stars in a warm, pine bed while keeping watch of the cabin light.  You'll hear magical sounds as water laps against a mossy lakeside shore, and feel the distant rumble of a freight train as it makes it's way toward the world of hustle and bustle, a world away from this peaceful place, where life is good.

Nina's Lovely Shelf Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog.  I'm so excited to be participating in Nina Brackett's blog hop for Stamp TV   featuring Nina's newest stamp set "Lovely Shelf".  I've had soooooo much fun creating with this set.  It's delightfully feminine and expresses warm and loving sentiments for so many creative cards or other projects.  If you haven't purchased this set yet, put it on your list.  You'll absolutely LOVE (LY) it.

For this hop, I used only the stamps from this set....however, these stamps are soooooo universal you can mix and match them with many other stamps sold at GKD and especially other stamps designed by Nina .

Thanks for hopping by after viewing my cards, continue on the hop by linking to my StampTV designer friends' blogs and enjoy all the treats they've created.

Don't forget to hop over to Gina's Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win Lovely Shelf or any other set by Nina Brackett if you already have this one. {How cool is THAT?}

Thanks again for stopping to view my cards.  Please leave a comment if you can.

For this card I used:
Distressed Cuttlebug folder background, partially embossed.
Papers:  GKD Pure Luxury White, Rocket Red, Good as Gold and All Spruced Up.
Ribbon:  GKD Holiday collection
Nesstabilities Ovals Large

Layers of GKD Pure Luxury CS, Good as Gold, All Spruced Up, Cranberry Tart.
Cuttlebug "candy cane" folder for card layer background, "Victoria" CB folder for bouquet layer.
Nesstabilities: large ovals for sentiment and bouquet
Punch:  MS
Bouquet is colored with Prismacolor Art Markers
Bouquet is sponged with Ranger distress inck, Aged Mahogany"

Talk about monochromatic....here's one I did all in silver.
The lamp in this set lends itself to so many gorgeous opportunities.
The dp is from GKD digi papers, and the CS layers are GKD Pure Luxury Moonlit Fog and Silver Lining.
Punchs used, MS and Paper Shapers Swirl Flourish.
Ink:  ColorBox Sliver

Not so feminine....but then maybe it is....I was going to put flowers in the corner of the shelf but wanted to keep it plain so it could be suitable for either man or woman. (But then some men appreciate flowers as much as women...I can add them later)
The colors I used here are GKD Pure Luxury Soft Sand and a turquoise color I had in my stash.
Inks were Ranger Distressed Inks "Broken China", Mustard Seed, Antique Linen, Memento Rich Cocoa and Bahama Blue.
Ribbon is from GKD.

Preview of GKD "Lovely Shelf" stamp set, designed by Nina Brackett

I want to thank Gina K for the unbelievable  invitation to be a part of her Center Stage Spotlight Design Team for December.  It's an absolute honor and one I never expected.  The creative talent here at StampTV is astounding and to be a part of  them is such an honor.

As one of the newest members I have had the unbelievable privilege of creating with the newest stamp set by Nina Brackett, entitled "Lovely Shelf".  I've had such a great time playing and creating with these stamps; they have so many combo possibilities and they work well with other sets that Nina has designed, such as her "Vintage Borders",  which is available at Stamp TV.

Here are the samples of the cards I made with the lovely,  "Lovely Shelf" stamp set for tonight's preview.   I have so many more ideas of combinations with these stamps and I'll be posting them in other bloggings and in the StampTV Gallery but get this set yourself and let's see what you can do with it.

Also, don't forget.....tell your friends, to be sure to attend the always exciting GKD RELEASE PARTY over at Split Coast Stampers on Thursday, December 3.  Here's the link that will take you there to the party, it's always a blast and so much fun.  GKD PARTY Please come on over and get in on the party!

ENJOY! And thanks so much stopping by and for viewing my cards.

Stamps:  "Lovely Shelf", by Nina Brackett.  I used layers of GKD papers:
GKD Pure Luxury Card Stock Ivory, Cranberry Tart and new cardstock papers Creme de Menthe (embossed background) and Mother of Pearl which the doily and rose vase is stamped and cut from.  The punched eyelet scalloped "curtain" gave it a softer background.  I wanted to make the top of the shelf look more dense, so I stamped the shelf again onto the Cranberry Tart paper and cut the top and glued it to the top of the shelf I had stamped on the card stock. The sentiment was stamped onto GKD Pure Luxury Ivory CS and dye cut it.  I added an eyelet and threaded some gold cording through the vase that was popped up using dimensional dots.

Stamps:  "Lovely Shelf" by Nina Brackett.  Again using layers of  GKD Pure Luxury Pure White, Chocolate Kiss, and a new cardstock called "Ocean Mist" (partially embossed) on background.  The lamp shade was stamped on pattern dp, the lamp base was first stamped on and then cut from GKD "Good as Gold" cs, the teapot and cup were stamped on "Ocean Mist" distressed with ink then covered with glossy accents.  I cute a piece of Chocolate Kiss and covered the edge of the shelf so it gave it some dimension.  A gel pen was used to enhance the doily and the beading around the lamp shade and the sentiment.
