Diva Coffee Break Designs Sketch Challenge #171

Lots to do while I am away....so did I bring everything that needed to be taken care of? Of course not! Of all of the things I could have left at home, it was my stamps! As I was packing and the car filled up quickly, I figured I could just use my mom's stamp inventory as her supply doesn't seem to receive the love that mine are used to. However, I didn't take into account the Diva challenges that would need my attention with all current supplies. Hmmmmmm. What will I do? MDS to the rescue! Now I really haven't spent much time playing with My Digital Studio, though I did go through the certification process. Once I got the hang of it, it really wasn't that bad. I do have to work on my margins and such as you can see in the card below, they are slightly off.
Working with MDS was actually a lot of fun. I am going to try my hand at a scrapbook page layout too. This software offers endless possibilities. Plus, you can simply click and send it for professional, affordable printing through Stampin' Up! as well. Click here to purchase your own copy of My Digital Software (#118108, $79.95).

Happy Stampin' and have a wonderful day!

I saw this group of cards done by another stamper (not SU), H. Pulvirenti, using another company's stamps and thought they were just adorable. So, I had to recreate using SU product. No layers! Can you believe it? The bases are 8-1/2 x 4-1/4, stamped with white Craft ink.
Supplies~
Stamps: Embrace Life, Whimsical Words
Ink: White Craft, Brocade Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red markers
Accessories: White gel pen

Diva Challenge #170

Good Morning! It has just been a crazy week and so I am late again with my Diva post. I apologize. I actually had my card done last night, but it just wasn't meeting my standards so I didn't post it. is what I get for waiting until the last minute. Went to bed and worked on it again this morning. I guess I just have a problem with "simple", which is how a lot of my cards have been lately ~ which doesn't make for a happy stamper! Anyway, this was my first attemAnd so, I set out to work again this morning and am much happier with the second card. It is more my style ~ lots of layers and more "pop". Our challenge this week was to use Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I actually got my card done and realized there was no Chocolate Chip so I had to redo again. I like it better with the Chocolate Chip anyway.
Supplies~
Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink: Pretty in Pink
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Sending Love Specialty DSP (from the mini), Certainly Celery DSP
Accessories: Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, Little Leaves embosslit, Big Shot, silver brads

DCBD Challenge #169

Are you ready for a sketch challenge?

It is Wednesday and that means the Divas have a challenge for you. We are working with this sketch. You can use it the way it is, or rotate it to fit your design or image. The interpretation is up to you! So grab your stamps and play along!

I knew I wanted to use the Vintage Vogue stamp set and was so happy when my card came together quite easily! I have been so pressed for time lately and, unfortunately, stamping has had to take a back seat to everything else. This has been so hard for me, but I have been trying to be a big girl and not complain too much......okay, okay, I MAY have to work on that just a little bit... :)

Supplies~
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Well Scripted
Ink: Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Accessories: Brads from the Pretties Kit

Not completely inspired yet? You need to hop on over to the Diva blog and see what the rest of the design team has come up with for your inspiration. There are some really great samples using this sketch! Then, play along with us!

Don't forget~ Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st. Don't delay! Make sure you take advantage of FREE stamps!

Cardstock: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
