Finally adding some new cards.....

Here are some new cards I've made. It's been a while since I uploaded anything new, so here's some fresh new stuff I've done. I absolutely love this set from Unity Stamp Co. growing in unity. I stamped an image from this kit on plain paper to make matching patterned paper. This is a really simple card, but I love it. The colors are so soft and I love the vintage feel of it. You can't really see it, but I added glitter pen to the birds and swirls.
This is another card using the stamps from growing in unity kit. This tree is just fabulous and makes really quick but gorgeous cards. Can you tell I just love it??? I added clear dew drops that I colored with permanent markers. I also added glossy accents to the birds to make them pop a little. Some orange twill tape finished it off.
This was one of my first circle shaped cards. It was challenging to figure out a layout, but I think it's funky and fun. I loved this pattern paper from autumn leaves and had to use it with this fun stamp from the floral fantastical kit by Unity Stamp Co. Thank you for looking!

more new cards

Some more new stamps that I got at a garage sale. I absolutely love house mouse stamps. This one is just so fun. I colored the image using colored pencil and goo gone. It gives a great soft look to the image. I added the sentiment on punched circles and a scalloped square. Red stickles was added to the sentiment for some sparkle.Monochromatic cards are so great. This is what I came up with for a monochromatic look. I did the two different cuttlebug embossings on white core paper, so the designs show up when sanded. It is so easy but looks great. I just added simple black twill ribbon and the stamped image. There is a little half pearl in the corner of the stamped panel, too.
I just love these fun little owl stamps from Hero Arts. I had to have them and had to make something with them right away. I stamped the branch multiple times using green ink and colored it in with brown colored pencil. The owls are colored with colored pencil and goo gone. I added the scalloped piece behind the owl piece and attached pink ribbon and a little prima flower. The background paper is from the Target dollar spot. I think it goes well with these little owls.

Cards Again!

It's been so long since I've updated my blog. I've been stamping like crazy for a while and haven't had time to blog. So here are some of the cards I've been working on. I got some new stamping supplies and wanted to play with them. This is what I came up with using a new quote set from Heidi Grace and these beautiful paper flowers (that I got at a garage sale!). I embossed the background with my new textile embossing folder.
This card uses a new technique that I learned from SplitcoastStampers called stained glass. It is such a fun technique and has beautiful results. For this technique, you stamp an image with stazon on acetate. Then you color it in (on the back side of the acetate) with crystal effects and reinkers. So cool and easy to do!
This is another card using the stained glass technique. It's so much fun to make these cards. They take a little bit longer than normal cards, but so worth the extra time. I used white stazon refill on this one to get the opaque snow look. It turned out pretty cool.

New Cards

Chalking is such a fun technique for cardmaking. I first stamped the hydrangea stamp using versamark ink. Then you go over the ink with chalk. It gives it such a soft look. I added the verse over the flower. The purple background is embossed using the birds and swirls embossing folder for the cuttlebug. I've really been doing a lot of cuttlebug embossing lately. It's such a fast and easy thing to do. The stamps for this card are from Paper Inspirations.
This card was made with stamps all from The Stamp Pad Co. found here. I did a z-fold card, done just by folding the front back partway. I punched the back layer with the fiskars threading water punch. Just love that one! I added glitter pen to all the details and words. Just a little added sparkle and sweetness.

I embossed again on this card. I used the swiss dots and birds and swirls folders on white paper and adhered them to a white card. It gives such a soft elegant look. The couple is stamped and colored and then I went over the dress, veil, and flowers with glue pen and glitter. I matted the image with pearlescent paper. Added a green strip and a pearl brad and it's complete. I love how simple it is but yet elegant.

I just love these bird stamps from inkadinkado. They are just the sweetest ever. I colored the main image using watercolor crayons and added stickles to the flowers. I stamped the bird frame onto the blue patterned paper using soft sky ink and added the happiness always saying with brown ink. The flower is a punch from martha stewart, attached with a button brad. It's simple, but I love these soft colors together.
This is just a super simple card done using the cuttlebug embossing folders. I did the swiss dots embossing folder on the blue paper and the puppy on white. I colored the puppy using colored pencils and goo-gone. Added ribbon, inked edges and "you make me smile" verse and it's done!

I designed this little sheriff's vest after finding the badge stamp at a garage sale a couple weeks ago. I had no stamps to go with it, so I thought a little shirt and vest would work. I just stamped the pattern stamp on the white card cut to the shape of a t-shirt and inked the edges. I used the just jeans background to stamp the vest. I cut it out, added copper brads for buttons and popped the badge off the vest. Just something fun for those little cowboys/girls out there.

Some new cards

This card was inspired by the project of the week over at Unity Stamp Co.'s forum. Here is the link with identicaltriplets' cool card fold and sample. This project was quick and easy to do. I used some stamps from Unity called Flower Parade. Added punched elements, some flowers, ribbon, rub-on, brad, and gem to finish it off. Such a simple card fold, but so much fun!

This is a card done with some stamps from Unity Stamp Co. called flower parade. The flower is stamped using a watercolor spritzing technique. I took two shades of pink markers, inking the whole thing with the lighter shade, and going over and dabbing on the darker shade randomly. Then I spritzed the stamp lightly with water. This gives it a stone-like look. I inked the swirl stamp very unevenly so it gives it a distressed look. Then I went over it with lime stickles. I added some prima flowers and some gems to the flowers to finish it off. The inspiration for this card came from the sweet decorative paper I got at Target a while ago. I just love the pattern and colors of the paper.

More Cards

This is a diorama card I made for my mom for mother's day. I just love the stamps and had fun coloring them in her favorite colors. Such a fun card to do.

supplies: blooming with love, wonderful favorites, sanded background from Stampin' Up!. watercolor crayons, waterbrush, white gel pen, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches, corner rounder.

This little owl and branch are from a new set I got this weekend while shopping with my mom and aunt. It's a clear set from Chatterbox. It has lots of fun natural images. The bracket stamps are from studio g. (michaels) and the phrase is from Because of you set (Stampin' Up!). I colored the images using colored pencil and goo gone (magic colored pencil technique). It is my most favorite way to color, I can't get enough of it! I added the small white flower and button and a little orange stickles to complete this card. I just love the little owl :)

For this card, I used a new set from the Tricia Santry line from Fiskars. I just think the turtles are so cute and whimsical. I added the grass on the bottom with a stamp from Because of You set (Stampin' Up!). I colored this using colored pencils and goo gone. Just some fun little images to color.
