My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge Card #3

Good morning!  Today I have another card to share that I am entering into the MFT sketch challenge.  You can find all the details here.  The stamp set I used is You Color My World from the Pure Innocence line.  The papers I used are from October Afternoon, Modern Homemaker.  The die I used is Die-namics Artist Palette.

I had a lot of fun paper piecing this image.  There is still time left to join in the challenge.  You might win a guest DT spot and $200 dollars worth of MFT products.  As always I thank you for stopping by and I appreciate your visits!  Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Challenge 19

Hello friends!  Well I have almost an hour before this challenge closes.  I am getting better, ha!  This is for PK color challenge.  You can find all the details here.  I used my favorite flower set, PK-240 Say It With Flowers.

I colored the image with Copics and added a few doodles.  I also used my white gel pen.  The flower was made by cutting 2 circles, 1 slightly smaller, distressing the edges with the blade of my scissors, scrunching and inking the edges, and finishing with a brad in the center.  Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Trying Something New

Hello friends!  I am stepping outside my box and trying something I have never done before, an Art Journal.  I am taking an online class with Christy Tomlinson called Your Living Canvas.  Mixed Media Art is a new adventure to me.  Here is the cover of my journal.  I kind of like it.  I will post more as I create.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bee Happy

Good morning friends!  I hope you are all enjoying the Memorial Day Weekend!  We have had some really beautiful weather here in Massachusetts, so I was in the mood to make a fun summery card.  This is the Kitty Bee Sweet die.  It was a Valentine release.  This die could be used for  so many occasions, not just for Valentines.   I also used the Oval Doily and Frame.  I used the inner piece.  There are several ways you can use this die as well.

I used my ruffled gingham ribbon once again.  I love the ruffled gingham ribbons.  I hope you haven't grown tired of them.  Lots of yellow and black elements for my card today.  Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

Janice

PK Anything Goes

Hello friends!  Wow!  I got this linked with only 5 minutes to spare.  I thought I had another hour.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute.  This little cutie is from one of my favorite sets, PK-277 Vivienne and Friends.  I know I have said this before, but I was fortunate to have met Vivienne along with Lorie,  Lisa and Kim in October of 2011.  We got to spend time with Kathy and the Peachy family.  Whenever I think of that time it makes me so happy!  Very fond memories.

I paper-pieced Vivienne with paper from Simple Stories, Summer Fresh.  I drew the sidewalk and colored the rest with my Copics, except for the clouds.  I used Memento Summer Sky ink.  I cut a cloud shape and used a sponge to create the sky.  I cut another cloud shape and stamped You're a doll on it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Another Craft-A-Lot Unity Challenge

Hello friends!  I have another card to share with you that I am entering into a new challenge blog.  This is for the Craft-A-Lot Unity Challenge Debut.  The challenge was to use Unity Stamps and bling.

I used stamps from the Unity May 2012 Kit of the Month, Love In An Instant.  Lots of fun stamps in this kit!  Papers are Authentique with the exception of the polka dot piece.  I used Y21 and B18 copics to color the heart and dress form.  Thanks for having a look!  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Card made for Craft-a-lot Unity Challenge Debut

Here is a card I made for the  Craft-a-lot Unity Challenge Debut.  Only requirements are to use a Unity stamp and some bling.  I chose another Phyllis Harris stamp, Brandy and Emma, Forever Friends.  Isn't this a darling set?

I used Copics to color the images.  I used some tiny pearls for bling in her hair. Thanks for stopping by.  There is still some time to play along if you have some Unity stamps.

Janice

Phyllis Harris Every Breath

Here are a couple of cards I made using one of my new Unity stamps designed by Phyllis Harris, called Every Breath.  I love this image.

For the first card I paper pieced her dress and created a summery scene with her standing in a field of wildflowers.  This card makes me long for summer, blowing dandelions in the wind.

For this card I drew a beach scene with my copics and a white gel pen.  I always find it difficult to have a card without any layering or something on it, so I used twine to create the sun and the rays of sun.  It looked strange with just the twine sun, so I added the rays.  Now I am not sure I like the rays.  Unfortunately they are stuck so they will have to do.  I had fun creating the scenes.  I will be posting another card using a stamp by the same Unity artist.  Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shabby Chic Cupboard

Good morning friends.  Today I have a picture tutorial to show how to make this Shabby Chic Pocket card.

Start with an 8 and 1/2 by 10 inch piece of cardstock.  Score at 2 and 1/8 and 6 and 3/8.

Turn horizontally on Score-Pal and score at the 4 inch mark just to the score lines.  Score at 7 inches from top to bottom.  Remove areas marked with X and cut on solid lines to make tabs.  Apply adhesive and fold up to form pocket.  Decorate as desired.

I used several dies to decorate my pocket card.  I used the large bowl from the CottageCutz  Stacking Bowls.  I used the cherries from the CottageCutz Oven Mitt and Stuff for the decorative plates in the cupboard.  I used the CottageCutz Tea Time Border die, the Oval Doily and Frame, and the CottageCutz Strawberry Mini.  If you have any questions about my tutorial, please ask in the comments and I will get back to you.  Thanks so much!

I am entering this into this challenge:
Moxie Fab Gingham Challenge

Does it get any more gingham than this?  I saw this challenge on someone elses blog so I just had to enter.  I am a huge gingham fan!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
