Post 6: Christmas, Shabby Chic/Vintage style

Getting Ready for Christmas

Hello My friends:
For the next Couple of days I will be showing you some Christmas Cards that I have made using Memory Box dies...
I hope these samples will inspire you to start planning and making them from now to avoid the "Holiday Rush"...
So let's start...

Today's post is all about
Shabby Chic/Vintage Look

This Card is made in earth tones to mimic the vintage look and full of details to mimic the shabby chic look (appearance of age and signs of wear and tear, mixed with the new)...
It is in between...the two styles...

A Sahbby Chic Poinsettia card in Honor of the Virgin...

Hello My dear Stamper friends:

On December 12th, the day when it is celebrated the day of the "Our lady of Guadalupe" the patron of the Americas, I posted this card at the French Blog for Memory Box: "Un brin de créativité",  on her honor...

if you like this card, share it on Pinterest!
simply hover over the image (top right) and click on the "P" symbol.

Did you know that poinsettias are Mexican flowers, brought to The USA by an American ambassador?

I used soft colors  that remind me the "Shabby Chic" style and I mix and match some Memory Box Dies with Some "Poppystamps" dies...
The background die is a "Poppystamp" die called "Meso Background"...

Great News!!! I am in the DT of "Lavinia Stamps"!!!

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
I am so happy to announce that I am in the Design Team (DT) of this wonderful stamp company: "Lavinia Stamps", based in The UK, in North Wales.

When I first discovered Tracey's art and her unique way of creating scenes with her stamps I fell in love...her distinctive trait is to re-create magical landscapes using her individual scenery, flora, fauna, mystical creatures  and "Zentangle" stamps!

Today, I am bringing to you in a very different approach  from Lavinia's well know stamp characteristics ...this shabby chic style tag!

The stamp that I use today is on of the first stamps that caught my eye when I first discovered them and which made me  fell in love with this company, this magical fairy called Nissa!

close up bottom...

If you do not know them yet, Please take a look at their website, at the DT members blogs (on my side bar) and discover what is to create a stamp scene using the brayer and so many wonderful stamping techniques...I strongly recommend  the Videos, where Tracey instruct us on the use of the brayer to create wonderful scenes...

Every first of the month we, the DT we will bring you some challenges, you can post YOUR creations at the Lavinia Stamps Challenge Blog using at least one of their stamps and be the lucky winner of a £40 voucher to spend at their website!

so Next , Sunday, December 1st be ready to see ALL the creations of the DT group, start the hop and submit your creation...!
