ATC envelope with Lost Coast Designs

Hello dear Friends:

This set of ATC (envelope and card) was made using Lost Coast Designs and used at the "skull appreciation day/event" that we had at the beginning of June
at the NEW blog for Challenges and events called :
 "Lost Coast Portal to Creativity"

set skull ATC envelope

I made two envelopes...perfect to give away on "The day of day", which is coming in November 2nd

2 skull ATC envelopes

using a border punch ...
I glued 2 panels and made the envelopes for the ATC...

2 skull ATC envelopes

I colored the image, previously stamped on vellum, with "Copic" markers...

colored skull ATC envelopes front

and here it is the ATC,
the stamp from "Lost Coast designs" is a skull called "Picado Skull" which was stamped in vellum
to mimic the tissue paper that Mexicans use to decorate their  altars during this feativity..

this stamp is perfect to use in ATC's, it has the right size for ATC's

Fun Fact about "Papel picado":
"perforated paper" is a Mexican Folk art/decorative craft made out of paper cuts into elaborate designs from tissue paper. Traditionally made entirely by hand

These can be displayed for Easter, Christmas, weddings, quinceañeras, baptisms...any celebration.
But Papel picado is specailly made for Day of the Dead to decorate the altars during this special day!

My card was featured
at the regular Design Team "LCD" blog:

Wedding Cash Anniversary Envelope

Hello My Dear Stamper and Crafty Friends:

I am back from a trip that I made to back East...
I attended  a wedding back east, in New York...and this is the "gift" envelope that we gave to the couple!!!

pin it:

We wanted to give them cash, as they are moving from state so I decided to make this envelope to hold the money...
but this card can be as well used as an anniversary one or for a 1st communion...

To keep the envelope closed I added a magnet for the closure...see the small scalloped circles

On the front...I used several dies:
the edge was done with "PaperTrey Ink edgers #1" die border,
the flower comes from "Memory Box" and the tiny ones from "Poppystamps"
the flourish is "Cheery Lynn"
the leaf is "Poppystamps"
the word is from "My favorite Things" ...

for a exact list of supplies see the bottom on the supplies section...

I used various sheets of cream, taupe, off white "Stardream" card stock as it is sturdy and the shine is very pretty...added various dies from different companies and finished with some lace...
At the end I added some pearls on the centers of the flowers...

on the flap, I added magnetic snaps to shut the envelope and hide them with scallop circles.
Embellish with branches and flowers  from "Memory Box"

The top bottom part is folded and the edge was punched...
the bottom is glued on the sides...to make the pocket

Envelopes 'dressed' with the "Delicate Butterfly Arch" die

Hi my crafty Friends:

Yesterday I showed you a Petal card made with the "Delicate Butterfly Arch" ...
Today, I am using the same die but to decorate the flaps of the envelopes...

Did you know that memory Box carries a whole line as well of papers and envelopes?
Their's match very well with this arch, since their flaps are rounded already...

And the colors are very pretty too...

White on white looks very elegant...

as you can see this die can be very versatile...
I will be  bringing you definitely some more projects with all the NEW Summer 2014 collection of Memory Box...

Thanks For the visit and keep in touch!

"Check" Envelope/Card ...for Mom!

Hello Dear Stamper Friends:
The last time that I posted a card was a "Gatefold" card in honor of this coming Mother's day...

Well...Today, trying to give you some more ideas for this special day,  I am bringing to you this custom made "envelope/card" that I created to hold a check inside...

If you liked this photo share it on Pinterest, click on button:

For the ones of you that opt to give your moms some "money" instead of a gift certificate...or a gift...

They are very simple to make...

1- Cut a piece of paper 6 1/2" x 6 1/2";
2- Score at 2" and 3 1/4"
3- Fold at the 3 1/4 " mark
4- Place tape ONLY on the 2" "section" on each side to keep it shut (creating a Flap)
5- Decorate as desired...

This is how it opens...
Insert the check
I place ribbon on the edge for this one

I have done these other envelope/cards using the same measurements...but decorating them differently to use for other occasions...
On the edge for this one I use "Flocking"... on the photo it is difficult to see but in person is so soft!

I keep several of them handy and when I need to send  someone a check... I  can do it in style!

 Here it the back for this one;

And a last one ... I used "Flocking" as well for this one on the edge...

Ok I hope you like them and can be of some use...

If you are curious... On how I organize my punches, look on the side bar under "Organization"/punches ...I have posted my storage solutions...

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon for another "Mother's Day" card...
