Absolutely Fabulous

Hello again!  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Are you a Swiss Pixie fan?  These stamps are one of my favs (then again I have many favs, hee hee) but this Swiss Pixie Tulip Birgitta is extra special because she was an Easter gift from a very sweet friend.  Thank you Mama, I love her!

I couldn't wait to ink her up so I could play in these challenges:   Anyone for Anya and Friends Sketch Challenge and Simon Says Stamp! Challenge Anything Goes.   Simon Says is also celebrating their blog's 2nd anniversary with a blog hop so you might want to join in the fun, too.
Well I'm off to the hop so I'll catch you later.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hugs!

Happy Easter!

Hello stampin' friends, hope you're enjoying your Easter weekend!

I thought I was done with Easter cards but after seeing Mama's beautiful project with Easter Anya, I was inspired to ink up her up and enter her in TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge.   If you'd like this adorable image and Easter Ian too, head on over to TGF asap--it's their free gift to us but only through this weekend.  Thank you so much Marie!

My card is pretty much a clean and simple, no frills kinda card--just one DP cut with a Nestabilities die, an embossed kraft CS, a Magnolia DooHickey fence, a stamped sentiment and an adhesive pearl.  I didn't want the embossed background to overpower my DP so after taking the cardstock out of the embossing folder, I ran it through the Cuttlebug a couple times to flatten the embossing for a more subtle look.    And since Simon Says... Emboss It!!, I'll be entering this card in their challenge as well.

Thanks for sharing your busy Easter weekend with me.  I really appreciate your visits and the sweet comments you always leave me!

Happy Easter to you and your family!

Easter Wishes

Hello friends, hope you're having a great week!

Have you seen Chris and Jacqui's beautiful Easter baskets?   I was so inspired by their creations, I had to make one too--thanks so much for the inspiration ladies, I love your creative style!

My sisters are coming tomorrow for a craft day so I thought this would be a great Easter project for us to work on.  It's pretty easy to make so I hope we can whip up several tomorrow--in between our breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks, that is, lol!

This sweet image is called Baby Bunnies "Bunny", one out of five Sweet November Baby Bunnies by Amy Young.  Mine is a rubber stamp but you can also get this in a digi.
Jacqui's tutorial can be seen here if you'd like to make a basket too.  As you can see, there's no candy in my basket.  Don't want to test my will power so I'll be buying them just before I give out my baskets, lol!

The challenges I'm entering my creation in:
Totally Gorjuss, #75 - Fluffy!

Thanks so much for dropping by and for always leaving me such sweet comments!  Hugs!

A Box of Drawers

The weekend is almost here, yay!  I know, I'm retired so everyday is like Sunday for me but I still love the weekends.

Ok,  on to my project.  No, it's not a tissue box and maybe from my title you're thinking, a box of drawers--does she have underwear in that box?   LOL!   Well actually, when it opens up there are four drawers inside this box and it looks like this--

Ta dah...

Isn't this neat?  I saw this as I was surfing the net and you can see how this is done with written instructions and a video here.   This blog post was done almost 2 years ago so perhaps some of you may have already seen or made a box like this, but this was my first time and I was so excited to make one for Easter.   Some jelly beans and chocolate eggs will go very nicely in these cute litte boxes.

The image I used is a Tiddly Inks digital called Bunny Q and my DPs are from the Prima Jack n' Jill collection, which I seem to be reaching for all the time, I just love it.

Are you getting your Easter projects done?   Can't wait  to see!

The challenges:
Simon Says Stamp!.....it's time for Spring/Easter
Craft Your Passion Challenge, #52 - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Tilda and her Bunny

Hi friends, so nice of you to stop by!   I soooo appreciate your visits!

Have you started on your Easter cards yet?  This is my second one and it's with another Magnolia image.  Can you tell Magnolias are one of my favorite stamps?

My layout is based on this sketch at Simon Says Stamp! and my DP is Wisteria from Basic Grey.   Just minutes before I was going to hit publish last night, I noticed that I had my print going the wrong way--instead of the wisteria hanging down, it was going sideways!    I had to take everything apart to correct it, ugh!   All I can say is thank goodness for Un-du,  I can't live without it, lol!

I hope this is the beginning of a great week for you.  Thanks for looking and take care!

The challenges I'm entering:
Simon Says Stamp! - Domi's Sketch
Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge - Anything Goes, option buttons
Basic Grey Challenge 41 - More than one Fold!

Stamptacuylar Sunday Challenge #105 - Buttons, Bling and Bloom!

Paper:  Basic Grey Wisteria
Ink:  Copic Markers, Memento, Distress Ink
Tools:  Nestabilities,  Tim Holtz paper distresser
Other:  Flowers, buttons, adhesive pearls, pop dots, ribbon
