My Little Shadow

I made this card initially to enter the Sugar Bowl Challenge but when this image reminded me of a dear blogging friend and her adorable little son,  I made it specifically with them in mind and will be sending it to her.  She is a delightfully sweet young lady who always makes me smile and has me forever ROTFLMBO with her comments and emails.   (For my sister who's probably scratching her head and for those of you not familiar with this acronym, it's--"rolling on the floor laughing my butt off!")

I searched the web to find the right sentiment and was happy to have found this one at Create with TLC.   I thought it fit this image perfectly.  (If you click on the image, you can see the sentiment more clearly.)  If you're looking for digital word art, you may want to visit this website, too.  I'm sure you'll find something you'll like, including a lot of nice freebies!

Before I published this post, I stopped for dinner and did some blog hopping.  I came across Simon Says Stamp! Challenge...You Gotta Have Friends! and their challenge this week is all about friends and showing them how much we appreciate them with a card.   I hope this card conveys that very sentiment!

The recipe:
Stamp:  Sugarnellie Manga Kids; Create with TLC Digi Sentiment
Paper:  Basic Grey Wisteria
Ink:  Memento, Copic Markers, Distress Ink
Tools:  Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Punch
Other:  Prima flowers; Dew Drops, Charm, Ribbon, Glitter Liner

Have a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

Wild Card Wednesday

I bought a stamp called Cuddle Anya from Tamiko's a few weeks ago but I  just couldn't come up with a layout.  Then I saw Traci's sketch on Club Anya & Friends, Wild Card Wednesday - It's Sketch Time!  and thought, that's it!    I remembered about some old DP that have been shelved for years (yippie, using some old stash!) and my card came together.  Here's my entry.

The recipe:
Stamp:  The Greeting Farm; CC Designs (sentiment)
Paper:  Making Memories
Ink:  Memento, Copic Markers
Tools:  Fiskars Circle Border Punch
Other:  Making Memories Ribbon, Doodlebug Brads

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
and to all the dads, Happy Father's Day!

Feeling Blue Without You

A dear blogging friend gave me this sweet Lala with Heart stamp (thanks Mama!) so I made a card to enter her in La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #42 - The Color Blue.   It ends today so I hope I make the deadline.   Using blue as the predominant color was really a challenge.

The recipe:
Stamp:  La-La Land Crafts
Paper:  Chatterbox
Ink:  Memento, Copic Markers
Tools:  Martha Stewart punch
Other:  Ribbon, flowers, half pearls,  pop dots, computer generated sentiment

I will try to make at least one card a week to keep from going into a slump again.  We'll see.....

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

You Rock

Thank you so much for your warm welcome-back greetings and words of encouragement.   It was so nice to hear I was missed--your sweet comments really meant a lot!

Now, for the winner of the Honey Bikini stamp.  The names of all who qualified for the candy draw, even those who said they already had Honey, were placed in a hat and a winning name was drawn by my DH.  The lucky winner is 1 LuvnMama!  Congrats Mama, looks like baby is your lucky charm!  If you were here, I'd be the first to rub your tummy!

Here is a simple birthday card that I made for my grandson using a digi from the Inky Boys section at Tiddly Inks.   I joined a group called Tiddly Inks Digitals at Paper Craft Planet and was lucky to have received this image as a freebie.  Thanks Christy!   Think I'll even enter him in some challenges:

Bikini Honey

Hello!  Thank you for dropping by to visit me today.

I stayed away from card making for so long, it was hard for me to get back into the swing of things--the ideas just wouldn't come.   This Bikini Honey stamp sat on my craft table for a couple of weeks begging to be stamped, but I had no idea what to do with her let alone find the right DP to use.  It took the Hero Arts wood finish stamp sitting next to her to give me an ah-ha moment.  I thought, what if I embossed it and distressed it with blue and brown inks, would it look like the sand and sea?   Anyway, it made for a simple card and an entry for some challenges.

The Challenges:
All That Scraps, Color Challenge, light blue, light yellow, pumpkin

The recipe:
Stamps:  C.C. Designs Honey Bikini; Hero Arts Wood Finish
Tools:  Nesabilities, EK Success Corner Punch
Ink:  Copic Markers, Distress Inks, Inkssentials Opaque Pen
Other:  Dress it Up Button, Pop Dots

How about some candy?  Because I am so appreciative of  my loyal followers, I bought an extra Honey Bikini stamp to give away.   I have 2 simple rules:  (1) you must already be a follower (as of May 21st) and (2) you commented (visited me) on any one of my prior 3 posts (dated May 21, May 18, or May 4th).
Leave me a comment that you want Honey and if you qualify, your name will be entered in a drawing.  You have until 4 pm Wednesday (Hawaii time) to enter and then I'll have my DH draw a name.    Thanks for playing and good luck!

Thanks for visiting and have a good evening!
