My Favorite Things Sketch #434 and Color #116 Challenges

I'm joining the sketch and color challenges at My Favorite Things with this fun Birthday card.  My card features the MFT Turntable Die-namics, For the Record stamp set and Musical Notes Die-namics.
I started by cutting all of the pieces from the Turntable die set with my Cuttlebug.  The base panel was splattered with pink acrylic ink using a toothbrush.  I cut the Musical Notes Die-namics in colors of card stock required by the current color challenge.  These sets are perfect together and so much fun!  This will be going out to my niece next month for her 9th Birthday.

A Blog Named Hero Challenge: April Clean and Simple

I have recently rediscovered Hero Arts and I'm having SO much fun!  Did you know that Hero Arts is celebrating their 45th Anniversary this year??!! Is that awesome or what?

I decided to join the fun by combining the current Clean and Simple challenge with an older wood mount rubber silhouette image called It's a Parade G5469 and Enjoy Your Birthday C2770.

I started by masking an area with post it notes then sponging distress inks.  After spritzing the ink with water and allowing to dry, I stamped the silhouette and sentiment stamps with Versafine Claire black ink.

The card was finished with a few sequins and mounting onto Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock.  This card will be going to the April Cards for a Cause organization - Hospice of St. Francis.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge - Think Spring!

If you love floral images you are going to LOVE the creations by Power Poppy!  I found them late last year and immediately had to purchase the detailed images.  I purchased the Daffodil Bouquet last week during one of their fabulous sales.

The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock then colored with Copic markers.  I kept the card very clean to focus on the beautiful bouquet.  Card stock layers and a Mother's Day die from Lawn Fawn embellish the focal image.

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #433

This week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things was perfect for my newest Pure Innocence purchase - A Phone Call Away (Retired).

I started by stamping the PI image onto Copic paper with the MFT Hybrid black licorice ink.  The image was colored with Copic markers then die cut and layered onto designer paper from Pink Paislee Switchboard paper pad.
I finished the card with coordinating sentiments from the MFT set and enamel dots.  A machine stitched border adds a little texture.

The Pure Innocence image reminds me of my niece.  Here's a photo of her a few years ago with the same pigtails.  So cute!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!  I always enjoy reading your comments.

Your Next Stamp - Fun Friday Challenge #112 Clean and Simple

I'm joining the current Fun Friday Challenge at Your Next Stamp with this Clean and Simple design.  My card features the adorable YNS Perk Up clear stamp set.  I love the fun coffee themed whimsical images and coordinating sentiments in this set!

I started by stamping the coffee cup images onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock then colored with Alcohol markers.  Memento Dandelion ink was sponged for the partial background.  A thin strip of SU Basic Black was applied.
I finished the card with a coordinating sentiment from the set and a few YNS Gumdrops.  I love how quickly this came together!  It will also be easy to mail to one of my coffee loving friends.

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #54 April 2019

I'm joining the April Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs with this quick birthday card.  I just love the sweet Quackers set from SugarPea Designs.  I think the ducks are adorable peeking out of the corner of this design.
The images were colored with Copic Markers.  I thought a cloudy sky paper would be fun for the diagonal panel.  I found this in the Echo Park Summer Party paper pad.  A coordinating sentiment, birthday die cut and enamel dots finish the card.

I'm joining the April STAMPlorations challenge with a water colored Birthday card.  My card features a free digital image from Stamplorations called Cupcake Blooms and Coffee.  You can find the download HERE.

I water colored with distress inks.  Not my "go to" media... definitely will need a little more practice!  Wink of Stella and Pink Lacquer were added for dimension.

Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Challenge #278 - Anything Goes with Optional Spring

Have you heard the news?  The Mo Manning Digital Stamp Challenges are back!  Their first challenge is Anything Mo Goes with an optional Spring theme.

My card features a sweet digital image and sentiment from Mo's shop called In the Spring.  I kept my card design simple to focus on the sweet little gardener girl.  The scene was colored with Alcohol markers. I used a scallop die to mask and sponge the cloudy sky.
I layered the image onto an embossed background panel then added a couple of butterflies and Stampin' Up! ribbon.  The butterflies and emboss panel were a crafty gift from my mom who is also a card maker.   We try to stretch our craft supplies by sharing!

Hero Art Challenge - Embossing

I'm sharing a last minute entry for the current Hero Arts Challenge - Embossing.  My card features an image and sentiment from the Hero Arts Monthly Kit for August 2018.  There were lots of yummy coffee images and coordinating sentiments in this set.  Love it!
I decided to use a partial emboss technique that I haven't done for awhile.  I really like the effect and it's so simple!  You need a chipboard/cardboard shim with the center shape die cut.  I layer it on top of my emboss folder and run it through my Cuttlebug with the A and C plates.  Tim Holtz On The Go emboss folder was used for the panel.

The embossed panel is Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake layered onto SU Real Red card stock.  The image has been colored with Copic markers.

Art Impressions Challenge #252 - Outdoor Scenes

Inspiration came to me yesterday for the current Art Impressions challenge.  I couldn't resist pulling out the adorable Ole Buck set to create a fun outdoor birthday card.
If you are like me and you have hunters in your family this set is perfect.  This set comes with great sentiments and hunting themed images.  I will definitely be using this set again soon!

The main image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  The AI Fronts-N-Backs fence (UMP1499) was stamped onto kraft and fussy cut.  Finally, the card base was sponged with a scalloped die and Memento ink to create the clouds.  A little deer from the set was stamped behind the fence and colored as well!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #513

I'm joining a few challenges tonight with this "barnyard" themed card.  I pulled out a few Stampin' Up! sets to play along - Home to Roost, Heartland and Retired Chicken Wire background.

My card design was inspired by the current Mojo Monday sketch courtesy of Julee Tilman.  This sketch has so many possibilities!

The rooster was stamped onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The barn and chicken wire images were stamped with Memento ink.  The designer paper is from MME Traveler paper pad.

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #431

I'm joining the MFT Sketch challenge with a very clean and simple design.  My card features the MFT The Whole Herd set.  LOTS of masking!  This design was what I thought of immediately when I saw the current sketch.
I masked off the strip and sponged the clouds with Memento ink and a dauber.  The cow and chicken were masked as well then colored with Copic Markers.

The card was finished with a coordinating sentiment from the set and finally the little chick.  I had so much fun with this quick card!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #512

I recently purchased an adorable ocean themed set at a thrift store called Make Waves from Close to My Heart.  The cute critters stamp in great detail and the set includes matching dies!

I love the puny sentiments that came with the set as well.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug Design.  The crab is from an EK Success punch.  I have used the current Mojo Monday sketch for my layout inspiration.
