Can you believe it, I've actually early with my challenge this week!! Woo-hoo! I missed last week's challenge as I have family in town and time got away from me. This week, I was determined to be ahead of the game!
This is one of Cheryl's older images called "Loves Healing Hands - Girl" that I've had printed out ready to color. I just think she's adorable! I decided to showcase her by using a shaped card and simple background. Of course, I've included the required ribbon and lace for this week's challenge. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and Copic Markers. The card base and bg were cut out with Spellbinder Nestiblities Label 17.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you get a chance to be creative this week.
This card is for the following challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge: Ribbons & Lace
Lollipop Crafts: Special Summer Challenge

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #35
It's Thursday again and another chance to share with all of the Sassy gals over on the Sassy Cheryl Blog. If you haven't played along yet, you can get all of the details HERE.
I spent a few evenings in my craft room this week trying to get caught up on a few challenges. I also spent a few minutes one morning sizing and printing out two pages of digital images to color. I got a couple of them colored while sitting on my lawn swing enjoying the sunshine!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you get a chance to do something creative this week!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #92
Phew! Blogger is being a real booger tonight!! It took 4 attempts to upload this photo.......
It's worth it though, because she is for this week's challenge over on Mo's Digital Challenge Blog. The challenge this week was Summer Vacation! What says "summer" more than ice cream, flip flops, sunglasses, and sunshine! I think this sweet image called "Lacie with ice cream" is just adorable.
She has been colored with Copic markers, Primsacolor pencils and baby oil. I've combined this image with some fun designer paper from the Basic Grey Life of the Party paper pack. I added a little grass and a sun with my MFT die-namics.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #34
It's another week of sharing over on the Sassy Cheryl Blog. Cheryl and all of the Sassy gals like to see what projects (or activities) are going on this week! If you haven't played along, check out the details HERE.
We have family visiting from out of state this week. So, this weekend I didn't get a chance to work on any crafting projects. The Alaskan summers are short and our weather has been gorgeous! My aunt decided that white water river rafting would be a good group adventure! So, she signed us all up and said we were taking the EASY rafting trip.
Below is a photo of twin moose calves that we surprised as we came along the river's edge. They were SO adorable! Later, we saw a mom and her calf but I didn't have time to get a photo.
So, here is a photo of us on the EASY rafting! About half way through the trip (it was a 12 mile trip) the guide let us know that we were actually on the trip rated 3-4! Apparently, that's the advanced rating. Yikes! Our guide was really knowledgeable which made my first river rafting experience much nicer. We went out with Nova River Rafting. If you're ever in the Anchorage area you might want to give them a call!
Yes, I am in the back and hoping that I don't get soaked! Oh, did I mention that this is a glacier fed river and the water temperature is about 31 degrees?! That's why we're all suited up in dry suits!
Hope you all are having a fun summer! Hopefully, I'm back in my crafting room again this week for a few evenings. Thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #91
Cathy is the hostess over on Mo's Digital Challenge blog this week. She chose "Black & White with one contrasting color" as the theme this week. Whew! This one was tough for me. I guess that's why it's called a "challenge", huh?!
Anyway, I printed out this sweet little bear image by Mo and colored it with a black Prismacolor pencil and baby oil to get the shades of gray. I definitely need practice with the B&W coloring technique!
This sentiment is from an older TAC set called "Rub A Dub". Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #72 - Paper Ribbon
Judy is our hostess again this week over on the Sassy Cheryl Digi Stamps Challenge Blog. Judy challenged us to use "Paper Ribbon" with our Sassy Cheryl Digital images. I decided to use one of my recent purchases from Cheryl's digital shop called "Tricycle Fun Girls". It was colored with Copic Markers and cut out with the rectangle Spellbinder Nestibilities. I sponged the edges with Memento ink. A few gems were added for a little bling!
The sketch is from this week's Card Positioning System challenge. The sentiment is from Hampton Art clear stamps "Sister" that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The base card stock is Stampin' Up! Close to Cocoa with Basic Grey Life of the Party designer papers.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you get a chance to create something fun this week.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #33
It's another week of sharing with the Sassy gals over on Sassy Cheryl's Blog. We all enjoy seeing what projects are going on and it's easy to join the challenge. Check out the details HERE and play along!
This week's "Show Me" projects are inside and outside. The first photo is a scrapbook layout in the very beginning stages of my lab pup, Gingersnap. I've had this rolling around in my mind for a couple of weeks and thought I'd try to put it together this weekend. The loveseat in our bedroom has become her "window to the world" when she is in the house. She will lay there for hours looking outside. I just had to scrap this!
You can also see a couple of completed projects from this weekend. The "Sea You" card is for this week's Cat's Pajamas challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers. The other card is for a My Favorite Things sketch challenge. It also happens to be my MIL's birthday this week so this vintage seamstress card is for her. I hope she likes it!
I couldn't resist including a outdoor photo as well! Summers are VERY short in Alaska so we tend to go a little overboard with out flower and vegetable gardens. With 21 hours of sun, things also tend to grow at a very rapid rate!! This is one of my peony bushes that I took a photo of this morning. I love the fragrance and beauty of peonies! They also remind me of the south where my mom and grandmothers always had these beautiful flowers.
Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #71 - Scallops
This week's hostess over on the Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog is Sassy Judy. Judy has asked that we use scallops with our Sassy Cheryl digital images.
I've used one of Cheryl's newer images "Marlene". She's been colored with prismacolors and baby oil. Since Marlene has a little "attitude", I've created a computer generated sentiment. Spellbinder nestibilities were used for the image and the "Out of the box" technique was used.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to be creative today!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC10
Shaped card for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog. Shaped card made using "From My Kitchen" cartridge and Cricut. Stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas.
Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #90
Cathy is hostess over on Mo's Digital Challenge blog this week. Her challenge for us is "Vintage... with distressing and lace". Well, vintage and distressing are two of my FAVORITE techniques so I was glad to join in on the fun.
This little birthday card was put together using a freebie from Mo's Facebook fan page. I think it's available until Sunday, so you better run over and grab it! Be sure to give Mo some love for giving away such a sweet little digi!
Trudy's dress was paper pieced with October Afternoon papers and she has been colored with Copic Markers. The card base is SU Crumble Cake and October Afternoon dp which has been distressed on the edges and sponged with Creamy Caramel ink then machine stitched. I added a lace ribbon and the Happy Birthday sentiment to finish off.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you get to play with Trudy and her Party Dress this weekend.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #32
Well, it's Thursday again and that means another week of sharing our current projects with Sassy Cheryl. If you haven't participated, it's really easy and you can find all of the details HERE.
This week I'm sharing my weekend stamping space! My husband decided to head about 2 hours south to Soldotna, Alaska for fishing and camping this last weekend. I took along some printed digital images, Prismacolor pencils, Koh-i-noor pencils and baby oil to do some coloring out by the campfire. Below is my "Workspace" by the campfire with my "helper" Gingersnap!
Here is a photo of my completed projects at about 10:00 pm. The weather was great and I had so much fun sitting outside with the natural light to aid my coloring of these images. I'm generally a one-image-at-a-time kind of gal. So, I was pretty surprised when I got all of these images colored and got home to start creating!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my workspace this week! I hope you have a chance to get in some creative time where ever you might be!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #89
This week Lisa is hostess and she's challenge us to make something Inspired by A Book or Story.
I've used this cute image inspired by the rabbit from Alice In Wonderland called "Late". I think he's so forlorn and cuddly!
The image was colored with Koh-i-noor pencils and baby oil. I've paired it with this summery paper by Bo Bunny. I've had the clock pieces in my stash forever! What better time to use them than with this adorable little guy who is late with the birthday wishes.
Below is a photo of the inside sentiment and a watermark stamp from Close to My Heart called "Make It Count".
This is also for July's Sketch For You to Try. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #70 - Outside the Box
Sassy Cheryl Digital Designs
For this week's Sassy Cheryl's challenge I've used her new "I Love you This Much" image. I've combined it with a free Kiki digital image from Tiddly Inks. Both images were colored with the Gamsol Magic technique using Prismacolor pencils and baby oil (rather than gamsol). The sentiment was computer generated using Honey Script font.
Thanks for stopping by and taking look!
This card is being entered in the following challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #70 - Outside the box
Sassy Cheryl's Color Me Challenge #29
