Day 2 of the lunar new year...

It used to be days when i looked forward to, for those red packets collection :D
Now lunar New Year holidays now had been more of a day rest for me.....
Really appreciate the day off to stay at home. Red packets are now just a collection for the well-wishes from the relatives.

Browse through some of my photo folders and decided to create a mini clip on the KL Trip last Dec :D

Heres the Part 1 of it.....

Its lunar new year again... The OX year.
A brand new year, a brand new start :D



Hadn't been updating this place for a long good time.....
For it had been really a busy busy tight year.

But right now... freedom had been regained :D Student status no more...



Now its time to plan out my resolution for this year
First let's recall what i had set out for last year....



For 2008, i have set:

1) Complete my study and obtain my degree (Done, pending result outcome... Hope hope)

2) Earning more $$$ (Done, considering pay did increase since then :P)

3) A good end of year holiday (Done, did had a good holiday :D)



Goals for 2009:

1) Obtain degree cert, hope for pay increment

2) Pick up a new skill (Haven think of what it will be yet :) )

3) Clear off my study loan

4) Another good holiday :P

Its october..
Had been slacking abit for the past 3 weeks :)
Shld be working on my FYP but then..... :P Gotta buck up soon.

Haizzz... still awaiting for the last sem exam result. By right should have been released, but till now still blank. Waiting and waiting....

Went back to school today to meet-up with group members and project supervisor for the FYP discussion. Nearly get 'tuang' by the project supervisor who had forgotten about it and is still at home !-_- A short 1hr session in the evening.

Headed down to town after the project discussion..
Went to Cuppage Centre to recontract my mobile line and get a new phone for dad. Get in done very quickly, cos not much people there, finished everything in about 15mins :D

Loiter around and decided to head to the far end to grab some dinner :D
Headed to Terminal 3 and had Popeyes chicken & biscuits. My second visit to there ;) The chicken are just tender and crispy. Loving it.... But the place is kinda of crowded.

There's goes my saturday...

Back here to update once more after a long long time....
Past 1 month had been busy with studies.... rushing assignments one after another. A truly tough and stress month it had been....

Just completed the exam for this semester yesterday.
It another 50/50 chance to gamble with again. Result will be out in Oct.. Well till then :D
Current status now is working on FYP... my last semester for the course (hopefully :X)

Time to take a short good break ;)

Had been a long time since last come in here to update.
Had been busy to very busy since then start of july......

The start of August mean its a much much more time-tight month......
All i see is deadlines......

Really running short of time :(
Almost every week is a deadline. Just cleared assignment 1a on saturday. Current working on assignment 1b due on thursday, follow to be task 1a due on friday. Going crazy by the tie-crasy management......

Looks like i am going to MIA from here once again till septmeber, when i am done with those deadlines.........

Life S**k when work, studies and ASSIGNMENTS comes together.......
Going zzzzZZ soon... max out already.

Had a short movie marathon today.
Watched "21" @ Eng Wah Suntec and "Hancock" @ GV Yishun.
Not bad... had been some time since last hit to the cinemas.
Tired out....
Had been a full today... time to catch my sleep for the day.

For Sunday, shall be going to catch all the sleeping hours i had miss for the week :D

A shiok and fulfilling week it had been...
After a 5 days course and 5 five days of lectures, its truly an brain-enriching week :D
Still got a final day of the course tomorrow....

Back here once again.. declaring another round of brand new start...
Over the weekend, spent my time completing my game MGS4. :D
Declaring it an achievement :P Neh, just try to finish it up as, i forsee i wouldn't have great time to slowly enjoy playing it soon for the next 2months.

This week is real busy and packed. When things all come at once =_=!
After this entire week till Saturday will be on course. Shiok shiok.. love to go for courses :D
Location is at Furama RiverFront Hotel... An interesting hands-on course, best part all my lunch for the week will be the hotel lunch buffet :D

And starting from today is also the beginning of my 3rd semester of my acacdemic course.
My last 2 modules before a final year project in next semester.
Check my last semester results andall i can say.... Thankfully I cleared it !!!!! Its had been a close shave, for i just manage to clear it by a small margin =_=!!!! Sweat sweat sweat.... Seriously i believe there's some moderation made in the overall results... Anyway for that all is over. Time to focus on my this semester...

My time schedule for this week:
9am - 5pm: On Course.
7pm - 10pm: Lectures.

My brain is going to be overflow with information this week........

Burnt a big big hole in my pocket today......

Spent almost the entire day at the PC Show :D
As planned for the year, I've gotten myself a notebook.

Had been thinking of which notebook to buy for the past 2 days.....

Too many options out there. Had to find one with the best value for $$$$.
In the end, narrowed down to Acer, Apple, Dell and Sony notebooks.
Spent the day walking around booths and thinking hard & compare.

In the end, go for Sony.

Had dropped Apple Macbook from the list because after some checking and thinking, feels that its not really that value for $$$$.
For Acer, while the pricing is the cheapest of the 3, the overall package wise is still not that value for $$$$.

For Dell, pricing still acceptable given the configuration, but then to go for extended warranty is not that attractive :(
Thus go for the Sony Vaio. Costing $1999.

The design looks good. The configuration is still value for $$$$.

The keyboard design look similar to the Macbook :D
And discover that it come bundled with software like Adobe Photoshop Elements :D Extended my warranty to 3 years @ $150.

I am back here once again....
Since the last entry till now, most of the time had been to prepare for the exam that ended last wednesday.... =_= Shall throw any academic stuffs one side and enjoy the 1 mth break i am going to have :)

This week had been a 2 days work week for me :D
Mon - Wed away on exam leave, thursday and friday work and now weekends.... :)
This week is the PC Show.... another round of pocket burning....
Went down to do a recce on thursday. My plan this time round is to get a notebook. But tough to make a decision on what to buy..... Hopefully will come to a decision by tomorrow :)

Anyway yesterday, gone and bought a new game for my PS3.
My 3rd game for the console.


Off to gaming now....

Today's my Driving test.... its a long long journey to reach this outcome :D
The journey started nearly 2 years back.....

xx Jun 2006: Took my Basic Theory Test - Passed
13 Jun 2006: Took my Final Theory Test - Passed
23 Jul 2007: Enrolled for my driving lesson @ SSDC
18 Oct 2007: Began my first driving lesson
19 Apr 2008: Took my 2nd Final Theory Test (To standy)- Passed
03 May 2008: Cleared my lesson and began revision
29 May 2008: Took my Class3 Driving Test - Passed


For today' test kinda worried though....
Had the warm-up driving to refresh myself before the test. The warm-up driving was still ok, but still some mistakes made which refresh my alertness not to do it during the test =D

After the warm-up driving comes the actual test....
My first test station was the vertical parking... and seriously thats one station which i am not really confident with. And 'suay' enough its hiccup at the first station :( Didn't really do the revsering nicely and ended up striking the kerb (4pts gained) and because of that required additional reverse attempt (2pts gained). And the result of getting 6pts in the first is somehow demoralizing. Haizz... it shouldn't not have happen in the first place.... But after which everything was still smoothing going though another 2+2 pts was obtained...

Throughout the test i have no full idea of how badly i had done... till reach back the centre and given a debrief. When all the mistakes i've done was shown to me. First though in my mind was I am coming back again. Only when the tester passed me the result slip and told me to go to the counter to make payment that when i know i had passed =D Happy happy happy.......

Pass with a score of 10pts. Haizzz.... by right would had just being 4pts only :X
But nvm i am happy with the result of passing.... Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day -1 (17 May 2008):
Hours before the departure's flight, i'm still at home rushing completing my assignments. Seriously i was rushing against time, time was seriously what i am lacking off at the moment. Had been rushing form days and night trying to complete it before my holiday :D

Day 1 (18 May 2008):
0030hrs - I submitted my assignment online. Immediately off i go and preparing to pack my stuffs for the trip.

01xxhrs - Meet up with Jisheng and Weichoon; shared a cab down to the airport. Apparently they had missed the last bus-service and thus gotta join me for the cabby way :D

02xxhrs - Reached the BT(Budget terminal). Peaceful and quiet morning... Slacked around at HANS, having drinks and snacks while awaiting for Weijie and Shumin to arrive and also for the check-in counter to open. Guess we came slightly too early... and played a few hours of waiting game.....

05xxhrs - The check in counter finally opens. Began our check-in and getting the boarding pass. Cleared the immigration and checks. Arrived at the departure area and its yet another round of waiting. Took some precious napping during the waiting....


0600hrs - Boarding began !!! Made our way to the boarding gate. Flight TR102 from Singapore to Bangkok. Depart at 0630... Since its budget flight, no foodies nor entertainment, i'm off for another2hrs nap...

07xxhrs (Thai time) - Touched down at Bangkok. 1st destination is to make our way to our Hotel.... We hired a minibus that get us to our destination instead of the usual taxi there. Ended up it proves to be an unwise decision. But never mind, lesson learn , experience gained ;)

About 30mins of journey, we reached the foot of our hotel.... the tallest hotel in Thailand. We do a check-in at level 18, where the hotel lobby is. Gotten 1 of the 2 rooms that we booked and made our way high up to level 54. No $$$ to stay in local Swissôtel The Stamford thus find alternatives overseas - Baiyoke Sky :D

Took a short rest in the room enjoying the scenic view. After some good rest and a change to some light attire, we were off for our first meal in Bangkok(BKK). Headed to one of the mall foodcourt nearby. The foodcourts there are organized and clean. Even tissue box were offered on every tables.. Why don't ours have the same ??? Food there is cheap as well, mostly range from 20 - 60 bahts, but then seems like the portion is small though :)

The card used to make foodie purchase at the foodcourt, cashless mode. Good but abit inconvenient though. Ended with the above 40baht souvenir :)


1st attraction visited: Chatuchak Weekend Market
Crowded as it may be... it reminds me of our old old Tiong Bahru market though :D With the zinc roof, tight narrow stuffy walkways :D Well the size of Chatuchak is hugh but then it seems that after walking for some time the stuffs each stalls is selling is becoming repeative. Oh yah... and time seems to have pass very slowly down there..

2nd attraction: Yaowarat aka Chinatown
Our luxury part of the journey began in Chinatown... :D
Headed to one of the shop and had a luxury tea-break session consist of Sharkfins & birdnest =^-^= Yummy yummy... The entire street is lined with such shops offering both stuffs. Its like living like a king down there... :) After the "boosting" tea-break, headed to walk through the rest of Chinatown. Ended the Chinatown trip with a Tut Tut ride back to hotel........

Time for dinner !!!!
Dinner for the day: Roadside stalls at the foot of the hotel.. Where the foodies are "dangerous" but cheap and yummy :D

Last activity for the day.. A walk at the night market at the food of the hotel...
