Baby Westen

 He came out white as a ghost which was concerning but he did pink up after some skin to skin.
 Meeting Dad
 Not liking the bath

It all started the 22nd of November. The family went out to meet Spencer's cousin, Matt, and his family for lunch. I had been contracting a little in the morning but nothing out of the usual. We had a lovely lunch than went to a park so the kids could play and the adults could visit a little but more. As I was talking to Janie, I realized that the contractions were coming stronger but I could still talk though them.
We left the park and headed home. Matt came with us because he and Spencer had a guys night planned. They wanted to go to an early movie but Spencer wasn't sure if he should leave me when I was contracting. I told him to go and if they get closer and stronger, I would text him to come home. I just laid on the couch timing them, but they didn't change during the movie. I laid there for another hour and a half and finally they started to get stronger, so I told Spencer we needed to leave for the hospital. We were lucky enough to have Matt there to watch our kids for us, he was planning on sleeping over anyways.
We got to the hospital and I was doing okay (meaning not crying) until the moment I laid in the bed. They checked me and I was 4cm fully effaced with a bulge bag. They admitted me and I was ready for my epidural. I was losing it with all the pain I was in. They pumped in the fluids as fast as they could, they checked me again and I was an 8 with a very bulge bag. I was praying the it would keep in tacked, because I go very very fast once my bag brakes. The only thing I remember before the drugs was saying to Spencer that I was scared that I was going to deliver this baby without the drugs. Well finally the anesthesiologist came in and gave me the drugs. Dr. Broberg came in and stayed in the room until I was ready to push. It took a little while for Westen to come out because he was looking up instead of down. He finally came out at 12:10am on Thanksgiving Day. What a great blessing to be thankful for. He was 7lb 9oz, 21in long. He came out really white which concerned my nurse so she called the NICU and they checked him out but everything was fine. I did some skin to skin and he pinked right up.
When Clay and Ansley pay attention to him they are very sweet to him. He has been a champ breast feeding and sleeping. He does have some tummy aches, but that is about it.
We love our new addition in our home and are happy he is healthy and well.

Saturday Adventure

 Ansley and Tait enjoying playing in the sand at the park

 The kids thought this little walk way was really fun. It tickled.
 Standing in the fire truck with a fire hat on.
 Building the wood fire truck.

Ansley helped a little, too.
The day ended with a movie and popcorn.

These days I haven't really had the energy for a long outing with the kids, but today I felt good. We decided to go drive around town. We saw that home depot was having their Saturday kids workshop. We parked further away and walked along a fun walk way with curves, trees, and some over grown soft bushes. The kids had a ball playing in them.
Once we got to the parking lot, Clay wanted to see the fire truck and the police car. After that he grabbed his apron and fire truck kit and went to work. Now Clay has a very short attention span, we can't even get him to focus on very simple short tasks, so we didn't think this would be any different. To our surprise he loved building and hammering together this truck. He loved using the REAL tools and actually using them properly. I guess we found out something new about our son, that he loves building things and using his hands. We loved watching him experience something new today.

Halloween Fun

 Clay was so excited to be Bumble Bee Transformer

 Ansely would rather be in the dirt than playing the Halloween games

Carving pumpkins, or should I say hammering pumpkins

 Our Spooky Dinner

 Trick-or-Treat time
~~~~
Halloween was pretty fun this year. I made Ansley's ghost costume, shirt and tutu. Clay wanted to be Bumble Bee. We went trick or treating with Clay's cousin Lexi around her neighborhood. It was the first year that Clay actually went trick or treating to houses. He loved it. He helped Lexi go up to the doors when they looked scary.
We had our annual spooky dinner. This year we had a witches brew and the kids thought that was the best part of it.
Our Neighborhood had a Halloween party. We had a Costume walk were all the kids walked around the neighborhood to show of their costumes to everyone than had some fun games and goodies afterwards. It was really fun.
Fun at Grammy and Grandpa's
Some robin eggs that were abandoned
Found a snake in the grass
Zoo fun
So excited to camp out with Grandpa
Having fun on the trampoline
Spencer had to go on a business trip for his new position, which will be more often now, and Clay has been asking to go to Grandpa's house so I decided to stay a couple of days at their house. We had a lot of fun. We went to the zoo, explored the outdoors and found some creatures. Clay's favorite part was camping out in the back yard with Grandpa. They were quit cozy in the tent and actually spent most of the night out there. It was nice to relax and spend time with my parents.
California Trip part 2
While everyone was together Rylin became the newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. It was a wonderful day for her and she looked beautiful in her dress. We love her and are so proud of her.
 ~~~~~
Mike and Cherie were able to get some photos done with all the grand kids. We couldn't get the whole family because is didn't work out with Ryan and Spencer's work. But Alma did a great job capturing some great moments.

Some random Pics of the rest of the trip

 We developed a new game and a tradition for the adults. Glow in the dark croquet. We love to play croquet when ever we get together, but this time it was getting dark after dinner so some one suggested to play with head lamps and glow sticks. So we went to the store and bought our supplies for the game. For me it was the funnest game I have ever played. Next time though we are going to paint the balls with glow in the dark paint. Until next time family.

 Cali had a bunch of mud just on her butt. I love the pose.

Clay was sad to leave as was all of us. Who knows when we will be all together again. Its harder to leave when you don't know. We had such a great time, thanks everyone for making it an enjoyable visit.
