The Sweet Things Kids Say....

We were recently fishing with Grandma Suzie. Trevin caught a huge carp. He said with all his four year old enthusiasm, “I’m RICH!”

Thayden had a stomachache last week. But that is not how he described it. He went to say, "Mom, my stomach is throbbing, what can we do?”

I was have some great snuggle time with Trevin. I told him that he was so cute that I could just eat him. Trevin insisted that, “You can’t eat me, I’m a little boy. And I am a human!”

Thayden came to me in all seriousness and said, “Mom, can I tell you about a situation I am having?!” The situation Thayden was having was about catching bugs. And as you can tell, Thayden takes bug hunting very serious.

We were teaching Trevin about tithing. And that he needed to give 10% of what he earned doing chores to Heavenly Father to help build temples and to help others in need. He was fine with it. Then he came to me and said, “Mom, when I go to give Heavenly Father my money, will you go with me? I am a little nervous.” It took me a minute to understand exactly what he was referring to. I told him that wouldn’t actually get to see Heavenly Father then but that he could give it to the bishop and he would see that it got to the right place. I just had to smile!

Thayden having just finished Kindergarten, we were introduced to something new this year. Girl Crushes! I had a hard time with it all being that he is my little man. One in particular girl had her eye on Thayden. Thayden told us, “Brielle is getting in love with me. But I told her she can’t love me because I am not her Dad!” Oh, the sweet innocence.

We have a little cousin named Olivia that has leukemia. The boys have been praying for her especially Trevin. He is always concerned about her and calls her his best friend. He was recently looking at pictures of her and said, “My heart is broke. I’m so sad for Olivia.” Oh, the love that children have for one another. Olivia and Trevin have only met once but have a great bond. We are excited to say that Livi is having great progress and hopefully soon her and Trevin will play again!!

8 months old!

Traeson is 8 months old now. We can't believe how fast the months have gone but can't remember our family without him apart of it. Traeson adds so much laughter and love to our home. We call him smiley because he is constantly smiling!
We are blessed with his happiness and sweet spirit he brings us daily.

Traeson has had a big week...he got his first tooth!

Traeson is so curious, always wants to see what is going on. He has spilled a few drinks lately wanting to see what is inside of them.

One of Traeson's favorite things to is play in the jolly jumper. He just laughs and laughs. His favorite food is sweet potatoes and bananas. He has been practicing crawling (mostly just scooting) around the house. He has got the Dada phrase down much to Aaron's delight. He loves the texture of paper and grass. We love it because if we laugh at him he now laughs back.

Little sweetheart Traeson, we love you so much! You have an amazing spirit and essence. You are so fun-loving! It has been a wonderful 8 months! We love you!

Little Ninjas!

Winter was long in the Staiger house. I always say that Thayden would live outside if we would let him. The first thing I hear when he gets up is, "When can I go outside?" So needless to say come February we, including myself needed something for the boys to burn off their endless energy they have. So I signed them up for a community karate class for the month of February. Yes, I know that is all boys need is an excuse to hit and kick. But at least we could tone up their skills. Trevin is always up for anything, he thrives on being as "big" as Thayden. He enjoyed having his own karate class to interact with. And was just happy to be there. Thayden took it a little more serious being six. The perfectionist Thayden is, wanted the moves to be just right. They both practiced at home and still talk about it. We will see what their future holds in the ninja world but for now it was a fun way to burn some energy!

Traeson, now a ton bigger, was blessed on January 5th. It was an exciting day some due to the huge snow storm we received that weekend. We were worried about family driving in it but we were blessed everyone got to our house safely. Aaron made his famous lasagna for everyone. Our families, friends, and I are so thankful Aaron served his mission to Italy. He is a great cook! Traeson Campbell was perfect during his blessing and Aaron did an amazing job. I am thankful he honors his priesthood for our family. Trevin had a bad ear infection but still made it through the day. Poor Kid! The day was perfect. I felt sweet peace having my grandparents there, Traeson's great-grand parents. They are such an important part of my children's life. Traeson was named after my grandma. Thank you to our families for enjoying this special day with us!! We love you!

Thayden is ready to go!
I know, I know. We are over half way done through 2008 but I want to back track the events a little. If for anything but to journal about them. We started the year with a sledding trip on New Year's Day. My sister, Sheri, came to enjoy the fun along with Aaron's family. Thayden couldn't get enough! He got pretty scrapped up on his face but that didn't stop him one bit. Trevin was happy to either ride a sled or use his body. Either way he was happy. Traeson was as content as always and enjoyed being snuggled in his snow outfit. It was just as fun for us all to watch Aaron's parents find their inner kid and ride down too. That is the wonderful part about having children/grandchildren, you sometimes get to become one too!! We hope to make this a tradition. We all had a great time! Wee!!!

Getting Started!

I have been hoping and wanting to start a blog page for our cute little family.
So I guess today is the day. We will have to see how it all goes.
Check back soon!
