The Wait is Over!

Finally, the wait is over! Christmas Morning! Aaron laughed at me because I couldn't sleep all night because I had butterflies for the boys. I couldn't wait to see their reaction in the morning and the excitement in their eyes. I wasn't disappointed...they were so fun! I was so proud of Thayden and Trevin because after waking up they waited, without complaining, almost 2 hours for Grandma Suzie, Papa, and Aunt Sheri to arrive at our house. There was a big snow storm but they made it and got to enjoy all the tender moments. It was a great day! We stayed in our pj's most of the day, played games, and watched the boys play with their new toys. Later we went to Grandma Karen's to spend the night with them. The highlights of the Christmas Season were: each morning counting down the days on our snowman calendar, the sweetness of buying something for one another, the treasured crafts made at school, the yummy treats, and most of all reading from a booklet each night about Christ!

December 2008

We had a fun December celebrating the holidays!
Here are a few highlights leading up to the big day...
Visiting the "Real" Santa!!
My little Trevin was so cute before we left to see Santa. He said to me, "Santa needs new white gloves...his are too scratchy!" We couldn't believe he remembers that little detail from last year. After we left Santa..Trevin assured us his gloves were soft this year but his breath was a little stinky. Love the honesty! Thayden was very thorough in telling Santa exactly what he wanted. He got right up in Santa's ear and told him his list. Traeson didn't know what to think about the whole situation. He didn't cry he just made sure he had his trusty thumb handy. We ended our tradition of seeing Santa by going out to eat.

Trevin got to show off his talents at his Christmas program! Grandma Karen and Daddy Bill were able to come too. The sweetest part was him waving like crazy to make sure we could see him then blowing kisses. He is the little performer of our house. His favorite Christmas song is Silent Night, he practiced all month to make sure he had it just right. Good Job Trevin!
My brother, Jason, graduated from Utah State this month. Trevin and I traveled through a huge snow storm to make the event. The rest of the family stayed home sick. It was so exciting to see him accomplish getting his degree. Jason means the world to my little family. He is an awesome uncle to my boys and lights up any room with his amazing personality.
Congrats Uncle Jason! We are so proud of you!
School Days in December
During the month, Trevin was able to take a field trip and have a new experience that he had been waiting for...riding the school bus. What fun!
Thayden is in the school choir which performed at the mall. It was especially fun because Grandma Suzie was able to be the grandma helper on the bus and go along for the ride. Thayden sang great even with a tiny cold!
We ended our school days this month with parties at school. I volunteered to do Thayden's Christmas party. But not without the help of my sweethearts Trevin and Traeson. We did a craft, played games, and had treats. It is always fun to be at school with the boys and see them interact in a different environment.
Needless to say with all the fun of the month we were ready for a holiday break!

We are so Thankful!

Here is another post for November...too many fun things!
I wanted to do a collage of the many smiles and funny faces the boys showed this month. As you can see in one of the pictures, Traeson loves to climb in the drawers and make them his own. It is so sweet! Another one of Traeson's favorite things is to have Thayden and Trevin pull him around on the wood floor with the blanket. He could do it for hours. The other day he almost fell asleep. Thankfully, Thayden and Trevin love to do it! What great big brothers!

Trevin had his annual trip to the fire station with his pre-school class. Traeson and I joined in on the fun. Like many boys, Trevin loves everything that has to do with fire fighters. "They are real super heros!" Trevin will say.
Thanksgiving....we were looking forward to the holiday. The boys and I love to be home together and to not have to worry about school. It was a great weekend full of food and fun. We spent Thanksgiving with Aaron's family. A tradition in Aaron's family is that they have a big family football game before dinner. Grandma Karen added a nerf gun tournament for the kids that they are still talking about. The festivities were great along with the amazing food!
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to my Mom's to celebrate the holiday. It is always great to be together and enjoy each other's company. We recently found out that Uncle Jason and Aunt April are expecting a little girl this May. We are so excited for the new addition to the family. They will be wonderful parents. The boys can't wait for a cousin on my side of the family. We are so thankful for all we have been blessed with!!

November Moments

I wanted to post a few of our most memorable moments of November!
Boys + Leaves= Lots of laughs
Trevin finished his first semester of gymnastics. He had so much fun! His teacher was super sweet with endless creativity. It was amazing to see his improvement of motor skills and his self- reassurance. Another plus to gymnastics was being with his best buddy Koda!
Great Job Trevin!

Thayden started his first year of basketball. Like soccer, he loves the constant action basketball brings. We were proud of his will to never give up and patience of working as a team. He starts again at the end of January so it will be fun to see his improvement. What a champ!

In our family we use the sayings "it is what it is" and "live and learn"....
Well, with three very active little boys we are going to have to add some more maybe like "accidents are bound to happen". In the month of November we had a few accidents...Trevin decided to count his piggy bank with some help from Traeson. Of course the pennies looked like dinner to Traeson. He started gagging and couldn't get anything up. After that he was fine but I decided to take him to the after hours to make sure it had made it to his tummy. It hadn't. The doctor sent us up to Primary Children's for some assistance. So Traeson and Mom were at Primary Children's until three in the morning trying to get the penny out of his throat. It was a success and one very expensive penny to say the least. I love his face in the picture at the hospital acting so innocent. Boy Oh Boy!
Once again another accident happened to Trevin. He was at his cousin Matthew's playing on his bike and fell. I was in SLC when Aaron called saying Trevin had broke his nose. By the time I got home he didn't complain about it or even say it hurt. He just hated the attention it brought to him. But with a hurt nose and all we couldn't cancel Trevin's fish's birthday party he planned for the next day. He made his fish a cake which included bread, a cracker, and some candy sprinkles. We sang happy birthday to Roxy the Rock Star and gave him presents. Great Fun!

Halloween 2008

What a fun time of year! We love Halloween! The kids couldn't wait to wear their costumes and carve pumpkins. With Traeson's birthday the weekend before Halloween, our ward party, and parties at school... it felt like we had celebrate Halloween for a week. We went trick-or-treating with our Staiger family. The kids loved going with their cousins around Grandma Karen's house. It was fun to see all of them running to the door together excited to get a treat. They didn't want to stop. After getting tons of candy Grandma Karen had a Halloween sleepover party for the kids with fun games. They had a blast! We had a great Halloween with lots of fun memories!

The family-Shantell as a cat, Traeson as little Frankenstein, Aaron as a Pirate,
Thayden as a Power Ranger, and Trevin as Optimus Prime.

Trick-or-Treat

A few days before Halloween we got together with our Staiger family and carved pumpkins. Thayden was so proud of himself because he did his pumpkin all by himself. No help from parents. Trevin drew what face he wanted very detailed for Dad to cut out. Thanks to Aunt Anna, Grandma Karen, and Daddy Bill for all the fun!
Great Fun!

Traeson loved his pumpkin...he loved to give it kisses! So sweet!

We had a Ward Halloween Party the Tuesday before Halloween. It was great. The boys loved the cake walk and the fish pond. And of course the trunk-or-treat. They couldn't have masks so we painted their faces.

It's Fun to Be ONE!!

Happy 1st Birthday Traeson!! We had a great weekend celebrating Traeson's birthday. You would have thought it was Thayden and Trevin's birthday because of how excited they were for the big day. We did a carnival theme which included a trip to the pumpkin patch and carving, cake walk, decorating goodies, and pin the smile on the pumpkin. The highlight for Traeson was his cake. He couldn't get enough and didn't care how messy that might be. It was pretty entertaining for us. Needless to say he loved it. Traeson had a big month due to a huge milestone accomplishment...walking. With his endless curiousity he can now go where he wants which means where his mom doesn't want him. He is on the move! Traeson now has seven teeth. Many more than his brothers had at his age. The kid loves to eat so the teeth have come in handy. He has added to his vocabulary with the addition of Don for Thayden, Baba for his sippy cup, and Ah O for when something hasn't gone the way he wanted. Most of the time he just goes off with his own little language to express himself. He was in the 75th percentile for his height and the 50th for his weight at his one year check-up. Traeson's favorite friends are his thumb and his Daddy. Both are always there to comfort him. Traeson favorite thing to do is put himself in things i.e. boxes, drawers, toys, and hiding spots. He loves to dance and wear things on his head. Traeson loves to be with his brothers and do what ever they do. He wants to be one of the big kids already. Seeing the three of them play is the best! Thayden and Trevin take such good care of their little brother. I don't know what I would do without their help. We are looking forward to this next year with many more accomplishments for Traeson. We want to wish our littlest buddy and sweetheart Happy 1st Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Traeson!
