Starting To Like Burlap...A Bit! (*_*)

So many of you have embraced the burlap trend with open arms and I just

might be turning a corner as to why!  I am not really a trendy person in the

decorating sense...I like what I like and that's pretty much it!  I have been

wanting to add some texture to my front room though because everything in

there looks so dainty and feminine.  Don't get me wrong...I'm a girly girl, but

I have been wanting to tone down the sugar just a little bit lately.

I was at Home Goods the other day and spotted this pretty, long burlap pillow

with a French inspired design on the front.  It is thick and lovely and has a

zipper in the back to take out the insert (which I love) and it was only just

under $20.  I decided why not and brought it home with me.

I am quite LOVING this pillow!  It makes me want to add some more texture

and perhaps burlap to my decor.  Not TOO much...just a bit more...

My settee and other pillows are girly enough so I really like the way this looks

in the center.  If I ever want to sit down, I just heave them all on the floor!

No big deal right..I'm sure you "get" it!

My New Little Birds...

I am quite loving silver lately so today I thought I'd share a few pictures of

my marble table in my front entry.  I am tring to keep things abit more simple

these days (ya right...look in the mirror!) so on my front table I just have

a huge silver tray and some mercury glass style votive candle holders.

Yesterday I was out with my sister-in-law at my favorite boutique here in Utah

called Dear Lizzie and I happened upon these adorable birds!  My friend Paula

gives me a hard time (not really!) saying that I collect birds because I seem

to show her things every now and then with birds on them, but I really don't.

But seriously, if these birds did not have those cute jeweled crowns on their

heads they would not have have come home with me...I just couldn't resist

them because I really love whimsy in my decor...and I had a coupon!

They look so adorable on my table!

The little crowns even have jewels on them...how cute is that?!

This little guy seems to be enjoying the soft candlelight...

Admit it, you would have brought them home too!

Oh dear, I just realized that my blog banner has birds on it...with crowns!

My New Jewelry Line Is Here!

For some time I've been wanting to sell jewelry on a regular basis, but I

had a hard time finding pieces that I really loved, that were of good quality

and that I was able to offer at an affordable price.  So...after months and

months of researching I finally found a line that I am truly in love with!

Above is an example of a beautiful pink cameo portrait bracelet that is now

on the web site!  Most of the pieces are Victorian or vintage inspired and

feature lovely cameos, pearls, rhinestones and sparkling Swarovski crystals!

Here is another lovely bracelet that has seed pearls, pretty flowers and

bands of silver chain and pretty Swarovski crystals. This one is a favorite!

These pink cameo earrings are another favorite with pink Swarovski crystals,

a pink and ivory cameo and sweet little hearts on the sides.  These are a

customer favorite too...after being up and running for only two days my

boutique is almost sold out of these already!  They are so pretty!

Here is another lovely bracelet with ivory pearls, gold beads and a fabulous cameo on the front surrounded by an ornate gold frame and Swarovski crystals.  This one has a stretch band and it is super comfortable and really stunning!

Cool Vintage Pink Bathroom Set

New Treasures Abound!

I haven't had much time for blogging lately, but I wanted to share a few new

treasures that have just been listed on the web site and in my Etsy shop.

I am letting go of one of my favorite pieces, an antique maiden lithograph that

you see in the large picture above.  It is a real beauty, but I recently purchased

an antique painting and wanted to hang it in the spot that I had this litho in so

I am offering it to someone new.  I also have listed some lovely old pink

depression glass pieces, another very sweet antique print with two little girls

and their Mother, a vintage French courting scene tapestry, an adorable pink

marble lamp, a rare set of Louisa May Alcott novels and a really lovely large

Paris wall sign complete with pink buildings!  Be sure to stop in and take a look!

I am also going to be listing a fabulous vintage five piece pink bathroom set!

I am going to be working on that today.  It will include a hamper, waste

basket, tissue holder, shelf and toilet paper holder.  It is really amazing!

Also, FUN NEWS!  I am adding a new category to the site next week. It will be

called CROWN JEWELS and will have the most beautiful vintage inspired jewelry

that will include cameo pieces, angel inspired necklaces, pearls and more!  I am

really excited about so when I get it up and running I will let you all know!
