If you live anywhere near the Salt Lake Valley, you will know what this title is talking about! I am so sick of the weather here! We have had this horrible inversion in the valley for the past two weeks or more and it's gross! The sun is out...somewhere...but down here in the valley we are stuck in this horrible mucky smoggy haze! Everyone is complaining and now so am I! My eyes are itchy and sore and I'm getting headaches and on the news "they" are saying it's from this inversion. We need a great big snow storm here to wipe it out! Today wasn't bad as you could actually sort of see the sun, but the gorgeous mountains that are usually so visible are practically invisible!
I guess I could go up the Park City which is about a half hour drive away and hobnob with all of the mucky mucks at the Sundance Film Festival, but I can't be bothered! Celebrities are totally over rated these days, although I must admit that some pretty interesting movies come out of Sundance every year. I tend to like the indie films. The run of the mill stuff bores me.
I went down to Provo last week to my favorite antique mall called Treasures and found so many great things! It was great to see my friends Paula and Cathy again who work there. I used to have a booth there, but it was just too much work trying to keep up with the booth, do Ebay and sell on the web site so I let the booth go. Best decision yet! Anyway, I found so many beautiful new treasures and I am working hard at getting them listed this week. Have a peek in the Vintage Finds and Cottage Treasures sections of the web site and you'll see what I mean!
Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and it was the first time in my life not celebrating it due to his passing away in June. It felt very strange not to call him up and give him a hard time! I miss him so much. Grief is hard and I'm still trying to deal with it all. On a more cheerful note, my Mom has set a date to come down and visit us here in Salt Lake. She should be here during the month of March for about one month or more if I can convince her. We are both really looking forward to it! It's always nice to have something to look forward to especially at this time of year! It still feels like winter, but we're all itching for spring to show up!
That's it for now. I'll keep you posted on the weather so cross your fingers for us here in Salt Lake. We need all the luck we can get! (*_*)

Under The Weather!
Well I have been meaning to get new listings on, but I have been slightly under the weather since Christmas! I was feeling ill the day after Christmas for a few days, felt better and now I'm not feeling well again! There is a nasty bug going on around here!
Christmas was very quiet and quite melancholy for me this year. Wade had to work on Saturday, Sunday and then Christmas Day so I was alone for those three days. We had our family get together at Wade's Mom's on Christmas Eve like we always do. It was fun! This holiday season was a hard one for me personally with my Dad being gone for only six months. It was the first major holiday without him. I'm hoping that next year it will be better. We exchanged gifts this year like we always do, but we decided to go low key with each other. Wade bought me a cool digital picture frame that I now have on my desk filled with pictures of family, friends and pretty pictures of items from the business. It is lovely. My Mom spoiled me this year and bought me a beautiful heart shaped diamond encrusted necklace. It is fabulous ~ thanks Mom! (*_*) She also got me a cake decorating book and a cake decorating kit as I have always been interested in that. I hope to sign up for some classes soon! Another lovely gift from Mom was a book of poems and prayers by Helen Steiner Rice. It has the best picture on the cover of a very pretty, old fashioned looking girl. I got some pretty pink mittens and a matching scarf from my sister-in-law, some cute pj's and earrings from my brother, a sweet Holly Hobbie figurine from my best friend back home to remind me of when we were kids, a sweet fairy ornament from another friend and some other lovely gifts from another girlfriend. I feel spoiled.
Yesterday there was no snow at all, our lawns were bare, and then today it dumped on us like crazy and now there is plenty of the white stuff out there. I feel bad for Wade who has to drive home from work at 1:00 a.m. Not fun at all!
I will sign off for now, but just wanted to let you know that as soon as I'm feeling up to it, new listings will be put on. Sorry for the delay friends! I hope to be back to "normal" soon...whatever that is!!!
