Knitting for Christmas

I have been busy knitting away creating fun gifts for Christmas. :) Here is a cute flowered headband I completed for my daughter to give her friend this year.  I loved the pattern so much I already started on another one.

I finally got published!!

It has been a long time goal of mine to have one of my creations published in a magazine. I have submitted cards and tags for a few years and finally this summer I received an email from CARDS magazine that they would like to publish a Christmas tag I submitted. :)

Baby "bee" Shower

Hi there~

I thought I would share a few pics from the baby shower I had for my son and daughter in law a couple of weeks ago. :) I had so much fun working on all the decorations, I am thrilled on how everything came together.  

My future daughter in law did an awesome job on the cute little cupcakes!

I have seen this clothesline idea on Pinterest and just knew I wanted to do one.  Of course being a fairly new knitter I wanted to include a few hand knit items.  My fabulous friend knit that adorable grey dress!! LOVE!

It's Wine o'clock...

Hi there!

I have a cute gift idea for you today for that wine lover in your life.  I created this tag using the newly released set Free Spirits from Paper Smooches! I just love this set and being a wine lover myself, I know I will get lots of use out it. :)

It's hard to tell from my photo but I used versa magic pigment chalk ink to stamp the wine in the glasses and embossed them using clear embossing powder. I think it makes it look like "liquid" in the glass.

Paper Smooches Halloween Tags!!

Hello, friend!

Hello~

Last summer I learned to knit, and I must say it is so much fun.  I love the feeling of working with all kinds of yarn.  I started by learning a basic dish cloth and I still enjoy making them. This is a gift set I created this week for a good friend.  I decided to spruce it up with a hand stamped tag to match. :)

I have a few projects going at the moment, I hope to share more of my knitting here soon.

Wedding Card Box

I'm back today with another entry for the Simon Monday Challenge~Make the Cut. :)

I created a card holder box for a daughter of a dear friend of mine to use at her upcoming wedding. I used Spellbinders Blossom dies to create the fun burlap and lace flowers to add to the front of the box. I simply ran them through my Big Shot die cut machine to make the cuts and layered everything together.   

This is a shot of the complete box.  It is a bit blurry because I took the picture with my phone, also I touched the glitter on the H and knocked some off, so now I have some touch up to do before I give it to the bride. :p

Hello~

Today I have a card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge~Make the Cut.  We are challenged to use any kind of die cut or punch this week.

I used the Hexagon die from PTI to create my honeycomb for my card. I die cut white card stock and then I sponged on Versa Magic thatched straw chalk ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. 

I also embossed the hearts and sentiment using white embossing powder to help them stand out on the black cs. 

I then stamped the bee from Paper Smooches, cut him out with my scissors and popped him up with foam squares.

Moxie Fab Holiday Home Decor Challenge..

I have a few ornaments to share today for the Holiday Home Decor Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.

I started with wood shapes and added paper from Papertrey Ink.  Then using a sponge and distress ink I sponged the edges and added tags, buttons twine and wire to make them a little rustic.

Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit

Hi there~

I received my Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit this weekend and I just had to break it out and create a few cards!

I love all the goodies included this month but the stencil was a bit of a challenge.  I decided to ink it with pigment ink and emboss using glitter embossing powder. It turned out really cool, but it was difficult to photograph. :(
