Easter 2011

We had a super fun Easter this year with lots of egg hunts and more candy than we know what to do with!! The kids had a blast finding all the eggs that they could possibly fit in their buckets or baskets every time! Madelyn especially loved finding the eggs...mostly the pink or purple ones. haha!

Easter morning. How did the Easter bunny know we wanted sunglasses and flipflops!?!

And special necklaces for the girls :)

Our Sunday Best! I am loving this matching dresses thing for the girls! They sure loved it too!

And more egg hunting at Aunt Kristin's house after we had an AMAZINGLY YUMMY dinner!
I couldn't resist this hunk of LOVE! I seriously can't get enough of sweet Noah!

Spring Break in Monterey Bay

We decided to take a last minute little family trip to Monterey during the kids spring break and I just have to say that it was well worth it and a much needed little getaway. I was feeling the need to get our family out on a little trip together after what we have gone through these past couple months with our sweet little Lillian. A trip to Monterey Bay was EXACTLY what we needed! Just close enough to plan last minute and with just enough things to do to entertain the kids for a couple days. We actually met up with some friends, the Penney's, and it was super fun to have them to hang with some of the time. We first went to "Dennis the Menace Park" and the kids had a blast climbing all over the giant train engine and trying out the cool roller slide and other fun stuff. Of course, we spent some time at the beach (Carmel Beach) and the kids loved it even though it was a little chilly...didn't seem to bother them at all! And finally we spent lots of time at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The last time we went to this aquarium was when Zach was like 18 months and I was pregnant with Kali... LONG time ago! It was so much fun this time with the kids because they were so into it and loved it all. I loved watching them soak it all in and just be so in awe of all the cool fish and sharks and things in the ocean. They really enjoyed the "splash zone" where they could actually touch the Bat Rays and the star fish and cool things. We had a great time together and it was so nice to just relax and take our time doing whatever we wanted whenever we wanted and have a great time doing it. It was our first real trip as a family of 6 and I have to say that it was a success! Lillian is such a sweet baby and she did awesome on the trip. Although it can be a challenge at times, having 4 kids is definitely do-able! I LOVE my family and I am so glad we were able to take this trip together! We will definitely have to go back to this fun place!

umm yeah... we have issues with smiling normal these days if you haven't noticed.
