A Little Bit Emotional....Okay... Way Emotional!!

I thought I was feeling overwhelmed 2 weeks ago. Now I know what overwhelmed REALLY feels like. Chris was just called as BISHOP. That's right, you read it correctly, Bishop. I have been going through so many emotions lately, I can't seem to stop crying. He is an amazing man. His love for people is unbelievable. (to be continued)

(continuation)
I STARTED this post right after Chris was set apart as Bishop. However, I have not been able to complete it because I couldn't stop crying. Today I feel I'll have a somewhat easier time expressing my feelings. It's amazing to me how the Lord works. I literally was getting to a point in my life when I was actually questioning whether or not the Lord new what I could handle and if he really knew me at all. This was during the very few short months that Chris was on High Council. I was at my breaking point. 2 weeks later, my husband is called as Bishop. REALLY? But ya' know what? I know that he will be busier and I know that it will be difficult. And even through these feelings of being overwhelmed, I KNOW that my Heavenly Father knows ME. And that he knows what I need. Crazy as it sounds, for some reason, I know that I need this. I don't know why, I just feel a different sense of love from God. I can't even explain it. The things I have been going through lately, that I couldn't even explain if I wanted to, but so many things have changed for me personally since this call to Bishop and I'm thankful for it.

Chris you are incredible. You will be amazing, as you already are. I LOVE YOU!!

Birthday Fun!!

My girls are SO awesome and so thoughtful. When I got up on my Birthday morning, they brought me outside for my surprise. They made me close my eyes and walked me to front yard and then left me there for a few minutes by myself. I could hear a lot of whispering and giggling. Next thing I know, I'm blind folded and have a bat in my hand. They had made their very own "pinata" out of a grocery sack, plastic bag, and the vacuum tubes to hang it on. It was so awesome. We had a blast trying to "break" it open. Everyone got a chance.

The night before I went out for dessert and a movie with some of my other girls! We had a great time with our gross peach pie that we were so excited to eat. Yuck! But we still had fun. Then we went and saw Julie & Julia. Funny movie. And we finished off the night with a few whistles and yells from the drunks boys coming out of the bar next to the theater. Who says I'm getting older? :) Thanks girls for a much needed night at a much needed time! Love Ya'!

My New Craft for Boki Vinyl

This is my newest craft for my business. Well...really I have just been giving them away as presents. I love it. It's so fun and they turn out so pretty!! The bottom says established 2009 (it's kind of hard to read in the picture).

Kensley and the Home Teachers - Fun at the Beach

This is what happens when you leave a toddler alone with her corn dog while the home teachers are visiting. Toward the end of our visit, we hear from the kitchen, "I'm done, I'm done!". I walked around the corner and sure enough...she was done. Corn dog anyone?

This is one of my favorite places at the beach. Chris and I came here with a bunch of our friends about 12 or 13 years ago on New Years morning. (really early) I have always wanted to come back but never did until this summer. We were just driving up the coast stopping here and there and I finally made it back. My girls loved it and we will go there again soon. It's called Hug Point, just south of Cannon Beach. So pretty, so fun, and lot's of exploring for the kids.

Family Reunion

Just a few pics from the Jentzsch family reunion. I kept forgetting to take out the camera but here's what I got. This is talent show night. My two nephews were hilarious. They did a song, I can't remember what it was about, but I was laughing!
Here's the some of the girls.
My brother took Kylie and Cassidy shopping in Lincoln City with his family. My girls had a blast!

In Loving Memory of Jim

My Mom's husband Jim passed away yesterday evening. He had a stroke two weeks prior to his passing. Through those two weeks I have probably learned more about life, more about death, more about love, and more about what is really important than I ever thought I could, especially at my age. Jim was (is) a very talented man, from playing the piano/organ/and most instruments to remodeling homes. Everything he touched turned into something beautiful. I had never seen my Mom truly happy until she met him, and for that I thank him. It is truly a humbling experience to watch a family go through what they did these last couple of weeks. They are some of the strongest people I know and have been through a lot as a family. The things they have taught me, I could never thank them enough for. I feel very humbled, very blessed, somewhat sad, and very grateful for this experience. I'm grateful to my Heavenly Father. For his love and his compassion and mercy on us. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have of his plan for us and the plan of salvation. I'm am so grateful at the peace that has come to those in need and the spirit that has been felt through it all.
Jim I love you. I miss you. I will see you again.
Thanks for everything.

I SURVIVED MY FIRST 1/2 MARATHON!!

I did it! My first 1/2 marathon :) It was such an amazing experience. ONe event where you can experience such JOY...HaPPinESS...fear...TERROR...what the crap did I get myself into...emotion....frustration...anger and...PEACE. Weird I know. I was so anxious waiting for the race to start. ONce it did, I couldn't stop smiling. Even though the first 3 miles were hard for me to get in the groove, I kept smiling! Knowing that I was running along side one of my best friends Sara, and that I was surrounded by many more friends...all tryting to accomplish something difficult and new, it was an amazing feeling! Then I got in my groove, totally focused, Sara and I jumped up on the sidewalk to pass some people for a while, then BAM...I totally bit it off the uneven sidewalk. Not to worry...that old basketball roll I learned in 7th grade came in really handy and I was right back on my feet! Then I was just embarassed and mad. Oh, well...back to my groove and focus. Time flew by between mile 4 and 10. 10-11...I think was the worst. I got slightly panicked knowing that I had never before ran more than 10 miles. My heart started going crazy and I had a hard time breathing. I got it under control and just had to endure the last 3 miles. - They were the longest 3 miles of my life! - But alas...I finished:) So happy and so overwhelmed. There was a group of ladies running that had t-shirts made up with my favorite scripture on it. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. It was so powerful to see that through out my run!

My TIME was 2:02. I am very happy about that. And I finished 394 out of almost 2100 people in my division (age 30-34). I'll take it! And placed 3683 out of almost 20,000 people.
Sara Budge... the one responsible for getting me into this mess...the one who pushed me, encouraged me, and was just there for me. I LOVE YOU!!!Jen Card...It has been so fun training for this with you. You did awesome & I love you!

Before the run, waiting in the cold.
Still waiting in the cold!

We DID IT!!!! me, Joanna, Kelly, Sara, Ann, Jen, Melissa & April
I think doing this adventure is like child birth. Time will pass...I'll forget about all the pain...and want to do it again. Thanks for the adventure ladies. ROCK ON!!!
