I took Tyson and Avery to lunch at Olive Garden with my mom and Grandpa Burton. On the way out the door, I reminded Avery, "Now, we are going to a restaurant, so we need to have really nice behavior." Avery responded, "You too, Mom. You need to be good behavior." I said, "Oh, really, do I act crazy sometimes?" And Avery replied, "Yeah, you act crazy, and go AH, AH, AH, AH, AH!" (said while swinging her arms and jumping around)

3 months
Our not-so-little Tyson is 3 months old already. And he decided to completely sleep through the night yesterday. He went to bed at 8:30 p.m. and didn't wake up again until 7 a.m. Way to go Ty-Ty! Tyson has also learned how to put himself to sleep. I can lay him down awake in his crib and a lot of the time he will just go to sleep. Tyson really likes to put this fist in his mouth, and he still has to wear mittens to protect this face from scratches.
Tyson has started laughing this month. It's adorable. Clark is the best at getting him to laugh. Tyson is such a happy, easy going baby. He's so much fun!

Tyson's blessing day
Tyson was blessed by his dad on March 2, 2104. It was a blessing day that I won't forget, and not just because Clark gave Tyson a beautiful blessing. We have church at 9 a.m., and I woke up at 5 feeling awful. I had food poisoning, and my system was getting cleared out of both ends. I was throwing up, and so I couldn't make it to church. So, Clark had to make a few last minute adjustments and we ended up blessing Tyson after sacrament meeting at our house, so that I could be there for it. We had a lot of wonderful support from family, and it ended up being a nice day.
Another special moment that I want to remember happened later that night. I was still feeling pretty rotten, and I couldn't sleep. Clark gave me a really sweet priesthood blessing. And within 10 minutes of that blessing I was sleeping like a rock. And since Clark got up with Tyson all that night, I was able to sleep for about 12 hours straight. It made a huge difference in how I felt the next day. And my sweet visiting teacher brought by homemade chicken noodle soup on Monday. It was the only thing that tasted good to me for about 2 days. We have been blessed with amazing friends and neighbors here in Utah.
I love that Clark is wearing Avery's necklace. What a great daddy! |

2 months!
Tyson is now 2 months old. Where has the time gone?! He is such a good baby. He usually only wakes up twice a night, but it isn't unusual for him to only wake up once to eat. Which is a wonderful thing for this tired out mama. Tyson is really starting to coo, and make cute little baby sounds. He loves watching Corbin and Avery. He smiles a lot, and I think he is getting pretty close to laughing. He doesn't mind bath time, but he screams bloody murder when I get him out. He has to wear mittens because otherwise he attacks his face with his razor sharp finger nails.
2 month stats:
Height: 22.9 inches (25%)
Weight: 11 lb (10%)
Head: 15.2 (25%)
This outfit is one of my favorites, so I asked Clark to take a picture of us. And then Tyson had a major blowout. |
