I rike lice

Last night was a really fun night. We went had dinner with some of Clark's co-workers. One of them was born in Korea, so she made us a whole bunch of Korean dishes (thankfully no kimchee. I have already been tricked into eating that once. And that was one time too many!) She made some Korean lettuce wraps that have rice, sauce and meat inside. She also made some sausage and onions that were very yummy! I think the onions were some of the sweetest that I have tasted. After dinner we watched some of the Rockies game. What a disappointment. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I have saved some of the papers that talk about the world series to put in Corbin's time capsule. I think it will be fun for him to look at them down the road a ways.

Finally!

It has been kind of a crazy week here. Monday-Wednesday were not good days for Corbin. On Monday, I just assumed that he was really fussy and not taking his naps because he was all discombobulated from all the traveling. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday he was acting just as strange. So Wednesday I called the doctor for an appointment. This is how much I love my pediatricians office. I called and they had an appointment for Corbin in 20 minutes. Awesome. It was Corbin's first time on the "sick" side of the office. I love that they separate all the sick kids from well ones. Anyways. The doctor found that Corbin had a mild ear infection (apparently he is like me and doesn't get a fever to go along with the ear infection). So it was back on the Amoxicillin for the little tyke. Now, 2 days later, he is finally acting more like his usual happy self. In fact, today was the first time all week that I have been able to get him to nap in his crib. All the other days this week he would wake up within 30 minutes of laying him down, and then he scream and not go back to sleep. The only way I could get him to nap was either in my arms, or in his swing. So it is completely wonderful that he is once again sleeping in his crib, and that he is happy once again.

Cheesy news

Well everyone. Not too much to report on here in Colorady. Here are a couple of internet coupons that you guys can print off at home.

The first is for a free package of Liveactive cheese. I just redeemed mine yesterday, and it is good cheese (and it is pretty expensive without the coupon, costing up to $4.50). To get the coupon, go to this website. You will then have to find the ad that offers the free cheese. It is a bright green ad. You might have to refresh the page a few times in order for it to appear. Click on the ad, and it will give you an option to print out the coupon. I had to disable my pop-up blocker in order to print the coupon. Let me know if any of you have any problems printing it out, and I will try to help. I had to refresh the page a few times to get the coupon. You are supposed to be able to print out 2, but I was only able to get 1.

This second coupon is much easier to get. Here is the link. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on download coupon. You will get a $5.00 coupon for any Tylenol, Motrin, PediaCare, Benadryl, Sudafed, St. Joseph, or Imodium product. I haven't had a chance to redeem this one yet, but depending on the product and the size you get, I think you could get one of these medicines for free, or close to it. The reason behind this coupon is that Tylenol is voluntarily pulling all their infants cough and cold medicine from the shelves, because of parents giving accidental overdoses to children under the age of two. This withdrawal does NOT apply to their regular infant's Tylenol pain relievers and fever reducers. The link above explains all of this, if you have any other questions.

Hey Copper Hills, how do you feel?

Man. I feel so good today. I got 9 hours of sleep last night! Corbin only woke up at 5:30 this morning, then he slept again from 6:30 to 9:30. We are getting closer to sleeping all through the night!

P.S. Yesterday Corbin and I went on a Walgreens adventure. I had heard that they were putting all their Luvs diapers on clearance (apparently they are not going to stock Luvs there any longer). I went to 6 stores (I know, you guys think I am crazy. But the stores were all within 10 miles of my house. And 4 of the stores had already completely sold out) Anyways. I ended up getting $45 worth of diapers for $9 (I was able to use $3 worth of coupons, remember that there was a coupon in Sunday's paper?) The diapers are all larger sizes, but I figure Corbin will fit into them eventually.

P.P.S. While I was out and about yesterday, I decided to stop by my old work. Come to find out, they have gone through 4 receptionists since I left! They don't have anyone for the afternoons right now, so the morning receptionist has been forced to work 10-13 hour days. I offered to help out by doing some of the insurance calls from home. She told me she would think about it. I definately wouldn't mind making some money, plus I feel so bad for the morning receptionist.

We took Corbin to the urologist on Monday. He looked at the ultrasound and x-rays that were done a few weeks ago, and he decided to take Corbin off the amoxicillin and instead he is now on a drug called primsol. The doctor said that this drug would be better for Corbin than the amoxicillin (although I'm not quite sure why or how it is better). The doctor also said that we won't do anything else about his kidney for the time being. He wants Corbin to get another ultrasound in 6 months, and at that time we can see if the reflux is better, worse, or the same as it is now. Corbin will definitely be on the primsol until that appointment, and he may be on it for longer than that. We will just have to see.

That is about all I have to say right now. I haven't taken any pictures of Corbin recently. Maybe I will take some later today.

*Update*

All right y'all. Here are your new pics

Check it out! Corbin rolled over! Granted, his chest started out on top of that folded blanket, so he didn't start out laying completely flat on the floor. But it is still a pretty cool accomplishment.
