Mount Rushmore! (Daddy's work trip continued)

So on our way to Mount Rushmore we decided to make a few stops.  First we went to Devils Tower and just took a few pictures.  After that we went to Sturgis.  Sturgis is a big motorcycle town, we tried to go to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum but when we started walking back to the Museum part the lady stopped us and said,"Um excuse me you need to pay before you go in there." When we asked how much she said the rates were on the wall and they wanted $10 per person for us to go see it!  (Im pretty sure we saw almost the whole museum by just peeking in.  We ended up just buying Johnny a little motorcycle instead. :)
We went to the Reptile Zoo which was so cool.  We got there just in time to see the snake show.  At the snake show Johnny wasn't afraid at all to walk right up to the glass face to face with a venomous snake!  The instructor said to the whole audience, "That's one brave little boy right there!"  Right after the snake show they had a crocodile show, they had about 25 crocodiles and alligators that were just gated in with a chain link fence.  The instructor did some crocodile wrestling and fed them some chicken. We also got to see these huge turtles that just looked like big boulders!  I think John and I enjoyed it more than the boys but we had fun! :)
We went and had dinner at a nice little lodge right before we got to Mount Rushmore.  Mount Rushmore was so awesome!  I didn't realize how huge it really was!  It was really an amazing experience to be there with my sweet family.

Daddy's Work Trip!

Since John started his new job at Profire, he has traveled a little bit here and there.  One trip we were able to tag along with him.  So we took a road trip to Wyoming!  The kids were so good in the car and it really was so nice to go with just our little family!  We got to stop at McDonalds and let the kids (and John) get some wiggles out! :)
John had to stop along the way for a couple meetings so while he went to his meeting Johnny, McKade and I went and played at the park in Wamsutter. When we finally got to Gillette we got to stay at a hotel that shared a mini water park! It was AMAZING! We seriously had a blast! John and I would take turns going down the water slides and then John decided to take McKade, he loved it!  He kept pointing to the slide and we would ask him if he wanted to go again and he would nod his head.  Johnny didn't like it so much but at least he tried it once! Me and the boys got to play while John went at his convention all day.  We played at the water park and then we took a field trip across the street to Petco, Johnny thought it was the coolest place ever! He loved the Guinea Pigs and wanted to take one home with us!
We were so close to Mount Rushmore that we had to take the opportunity one night to drive there and see it! That will come in the next post with more pictures.

McKade is One!!!

Well McKade is one!!! His birthday was on May 13th I can't believe how fast a year goes! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was holding my sweet newborn baby in my arms on mothers day last year!  It sure has been fun having McKade around, he is our sensitive, bashful little boy who loves his big brother and wants to do everything just like him!

So long Nate...

It was my brother in law Nate's farewell yesterday, he did such an amazing job!  He will be serving in Lima, Peru.  Johnny is sure going to miss his Uncle Nate, he is one of Johnny's best friends and loves to play with him.  His favorite thing to play is doctors, Nate is a great doctor and knows how to fix everything :)  We sure are going to miss him but couldn't be more proud of him!  Thanks for being a great example Nate! Sure do love ya!

Johnny absolutely loves to go feed ducks so a couple Saturdays ago we were able to go feed the ducks with Nate one last time before he leaves.

Johnny and the binky

Johnny has been such a great big brother! He is very protective of his little brother and makes sure he doesn't ever get hurt! Right after McKade was born Johnny seemed so grown up.
He decided that after the baby was born he wasn't a baby anymore so he began to sleep in a big boy bed decided that he wanted to get potty trained completely.
(He was peeing in the potty for a while before McKade was born but started to go #2)
Johnny still had a binky for nap time and bedtime but when we had a family reunion at mom and dads house in July he was taking a nap and Judson saw that he still had a binky and said "Really Stacey he still has a binky?"  This was the one thing that I had a hard time with because I knew he loved it so much and it was so nice to just give him his blanket, teddy and binky and he would go right to bed! But the next day I said to Johnny, "Guess what Judson said, he says you're still a baby because you still have a binky..." Johnny said, "I not a baby! I throw it in the garbage!" He jumped right up, took the binky and went to throw it in the garbage but stopped and said, "I gonna throw it in the toilet!" So I followed him upstairs he lifted up the lid and threw it in the toilet! He went to go flush it (that's when i  hurried and grabbed it but kept the lid down so he thought he flushed down)
and never asked for it again!

Catching up...

I was blessed to be able to have McKade on mothers day, May 13th 2012.
It was such a wonderful gift to be able to hold my newborn son on the day we celebrate motherhood.  We named him McKade Smith Kramer and he was 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 inches long.
He came three weeks early and I cant imagine how big he would have been if he came on time!
Having two boys has definitely been an adjustment but I have loved having two kids! The joy of watching the boys learn and grow together each day is so much fun!
