Paper Popsicles Blog Hop
It's time for the Paper Popsicles Welcome to Summer Blog Hop!!!
Paper Popsicles is having its first ever blog hop, so you'll be asked to hop from blog to blog featuring yummy eye candy with a summer theme...and of course what's eye candy without a little blog candy...so just leave a comment before you hop along to the next blog and you just might pick up a prize!!! Each blog will feature a secret word...these words needs to be collected and then put together to form a phrase. This phrase will then need to be emailed to paperpopsicles@gmail.com by Sunday night, July 12 at midnight Central time to be eligible for our grand prize.
So......lets get started!!!
If you are joining me from Jen C's blog great...you are hopping right along...if you just stumbled upon my blog...you won't want to miss a thing, so hop on over to the Paper Popsicles blog to get you started.
Here's a special project I made for the Blog Hop using a past Paper Popsicles kit. I love PP kits...they are such great deals and I have never been disappointed by them! If your kids don't already have a handy chore chart, summer is the perfect time to get one started since they are at home more than the school year!
I have been wanting to make something like this for awhile and I finally got to it! This is a chore chart for Joshua. It will hang on his door and at the end of each day, if he has completed all of his chores and moved them to the "done" area, he will get a reward. (But I haven't quite figured that part out yet. I am thinking about a quarter a day for his piggy bank. Any suggestions??)
Supplies needed:
Chipboard/cardboard (I just used the packaging from some page protectors.)*
*You will need one piece that is 11"x11" and a few other pieces in any shape for the "chores."
Patterned Paper- 1 - 12"x12" sheet plus some scraps
Adhesive
Letters stickers/ stamps and ink
Velcro
Optional-thread and needle
Other embellishments
Ribbon
Directions:
1. Adhere 11x11 chipboard onto the back center of your 12x12 paper.
2. Cut off the corners of the paper to make it easier to wrap around the chipboard.
3. Fold over the edges and adhere the paper to the back of the chipboard.
4. Design your chart and chore pieces as desired.
5. Add velcro to the chart and chores. I actually secured them with a needle and thread because some of my velcro wasn't very sticky.
6. Hang up and watch your child get excited about doing his or her chores! Joshua promptly let me know that he picked up his toys and then went to make his bed. LOL
While you're here...let me tell you a bit about my favorite online store and message board:
