A Pitcher Is Born

Paul has started kid pitch in baseball this weekend, instead of machine pitch. He loves to be the pitcher and does quite well. We played in a tournament this past weekend. He struck out the side. He also got 4 hits in the tournament. We are so proud of him, but mostly because he tries his best.

The Picture Says It All

James played baseball this year for the first time. He didn't always want to go or to play. He always said "I've already played this." He did make it to the end of the season. They gave trophies to everyone at the last game. But James didn't realize this and thinks he got a trophy for an awesome play he made. It was the last inning, James catches a pop fly to make the last out. Right after that catch they lined the boys up to receive their trophies. James got his first and thought they gave it to him because of the catch. He never realized the other boys had trophies too. He is already thinking about playing again and seeing how many more trophies he can get. We are so proud of you James!

Carpet Slides

The boys got fun slides for Christmas. They have been having a great time skating around the basement. Shawn decided to build a ramp for them over the weekend. After a few carpet burns, the boys have learned how to do it. The carpet slides are now even a bigger hit than before.

Trunk or Treat

Tonight was trunk or treat at church. The kids and Shawn look forward to this every year. This year Paul decided to go as a baseball player and if you asked what he was he would tell you he was a real baseball player. James was Darth Vader. Shawn decided to go as a fisherman and won honorable mention for his bait bucket of candy. Everyone had a good time.

It Is All About The Pie

Shawn and me were in Hawaii a couple weeks ago. Shawn actually had business there and I just tag a long...because it was Hawaii. We rented a car for a couple days to drive around and sight see. Dad told us about a resturant called the Crouching Lion. He recommended dessert. So we found it and had lunch there. The lunch was okay, but the dessert was great. I am not a pie person and I ordered the Chocolate Macadamia Nut(pictured above) I was only intending to eat a couple bites, so I could say I had dessert there. The pie was so good that I ate the whole thing. If you ever get a chance to go to Hawaii...I recommend the Crouching Lion for dessert(forget lunch just order pie).
