Thanksgiving

Well this Thanksgiving, we went up to Heber to spend it with my family. It was so nice to be up there for the cool weather and enjoy family for the weekend. I love my family so much; it is so much fun when we get together. Everyone was able to make it excpet for Travis's Family and Ernie's family, but we still had a crowd. My mom made a wonderful meal, I have never seen Shawn pick at a turkey like he did. We played scum, rummy, and phase 10 that night, which is always so much fun. Keely had fun playing with her cousins, especially Ben and Emma's Abigal. She is like exactly one month younger and they were just following each other around. Here are some pictures.....

Aren't they so cute?

The day after Thanksgiving was my mom's birthday, and we made her a cake and sang to her. I am so grateful for my family and the love that they have for me and my little family. I don't know where I would be with out them.

I love this picture. That is Ben my brother, he is such a goof ball sometimes, and is usually the life of the party.

The day after Thanksgiving we went out to hunt for our Christmas Tree. Can't beat getting a permit for 10 bucks. My family has been going to the same spot for the past 3 years or so now, so we have made it kind of a tradition. It is so fun to get bundled up and cut down your own tree. We got a really good tree, small but good. We strapped it to our Jetta and took it back with us.

This is Keely's new thing - walking with your fingers. It seems that all she wants to do lately. She gets so made when you don't do it with her. It will be so nice when she will start walking.

This is Hailey, Kelli's girl. She loves to hold Keely.

Well that was our Thanksgiving weekend in a nutshell. Now it's time for Christmas. I love the holiday season. :)

The Zoo and a Suprise!

This past Saturday Shawn and I went to the Phoenix Zoo. I had never been and Shawn's sister gave us some tickets, so we decided to go on Saturday. It was really fun. It was so nice to get out and walk around and enjoy the weather. It got hot in the afternoon but the morning was really nice. Keely really didn't show any emotion towards the animals, except the turkeys by the petting zoo. Probably because we could get right up close to the cage. The petting zoo wasn't open for some reason. I think they were doing som renovations, but I was curious to see how Keely would react to the goats and sheep. Saturday was also her 11th month birthday, she will be one year in a month. Here are some pictures of our day.

This is Keely with the turkeys.

I don't know if you can see the giraffes in this picture, but that's where we were.

Keely with her sippy cup. She is still learning how to use it.

On another note, that same day, my mom came down to bring my Grandma down for Thanksgiving and also to pick up some groceries. She came by to see Keely about 3:00 and then left to get her grocery's. She called me about 10:00 at night and said "I forgot to give you something, so I will be by in about 5 minutes" And I was wondering why she was still out and about when she should be in bed and relaxing from her busy day. Well when I open the door for her out popped my sister Ginger!! She has been in Conneticuit for 8 months and wasn't going to return until next month just before Christmas, but she got to come home early! It was the biggest suprise I have ever had. I was so confused when I saw her. My mom and her had been planning to suprise everyone since September. Not even my dad knew she was coming home for good. They are so funny. But it is so good to have my sister back home and safe. I have missed her so much. Welcome home Giner!! :)

Lack of Things to Say....

It has been a while since I have last posted something. I guess we are pretty boring and nothing is going on. Shawn is still busy busy going to school and working full time. He is such a good worker. Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays he doesn't get home till 9:00, which makes my days so long. I find the only thing to do those nights is to work, which means I am getting a lot done, so I guess that is good. I am getting so excited for the holidays, I think that is all I think about (now if the weather would cool down it would feel more like the holidays were coming). I am making stocking right now, getting our Christmas cards all ready, and I am making Keely some pj's for her to open Christmas Eve. I even worked on my background last night to make it in the holiday spirit (thanks again Taralee!).

Keely is almost one I can't believe it! She will turn one on Dec. 17th. We weighed her on Sunday and she was 19 pounds even. She is such a small girl. Last week when shopping for groceries I was asked if she was about 6 months old. I was like "no, she is almost one actually" and then when we went out to dinner, this old man asked if she was 4 months old. Now honestly, does she look 4 months? I don't think so. It was kind of an insult to me. I worry about her weight as it is, and people go and say things like that. Geez. Haha it's okay, I know she is healthy and fine. Today she waved goodbye to Shawn for the first time. I have been trying to get her to do that forever! She can stand by herself for like 3 seconds, and then when she realizes what is going on, she will fall. Hmm what else is she doing lately that's fun? I don't know, but she is learning so much everyday, and it is so strange that she will be walking and talking and feeding herself before I know it. Here are some pictures of her lately.

These are very special moments when Keely lays with you.

She's really playing with her toys

Helping me do laundry:)

Wow that's all I have. I haven't really been taking pictures lately. Maybe because I know we have a ton. haha. We will have some next week I am sure because it is Thanksgiving!!! Wahoo turkey and Heber here we come :) Happy Thanksgiving!
