Rest of 2013

Pretty pathetic and lame, but I am totally going to recap what happened for the rest of 2013. These pictures are in July and August 2013 so I am a year behind. So what? It's getting documented right? Okay... here we go....
At the end of Summer 2013 we got some pretty good rain falls in Arizona. The monsoon season was quite good to us. As you can see from the pictures; the grass is so green. We had several days where the girls played and played in the rain. I couldn't resist taking pictures.

I love this picture, as Lydia is runny , and you can see Molly left alone without an umbrella as she is getting wet.

What's playing in the rain if you can't play in the mud too?

A couple weeks into August, Keely started 1st Grade. It was a much better this year to say goodbye than last year when she started Kindergarten. No tears were shed, and she was excited to see her friends again.

And here is another day of rainfall. I picked Keely up from school and we saw the water in the green belt behind our house. The girls got their swimsuits on and played in that water for hours. I was worried about ants and such in the water, but they didn't get bit at all.
This Lydia girl makes me smile. She did this maneuver at least 20 times. She is so athletic and loves to do crazy things like this. I believe she was preteneding to be the Little Mermaid. It was so fun to watch her.

Lydia and I are did a Mommy Preschool again this year with other moms in the ward. In September 2013 we had the chance to go on a field trip to the aquarium at Arizona Mills. It was fun to have the day with her and Molly as we saw the different kind of fishes.

On one of the last hot September days, Papa Nelson took our Nelson family to the lake. We had such a good time. We even got ALL the girls to go on the tube this time. When I say they went on the tube I mean when Keely went, we were going like 5mph. She is so timid about things that are out of her control. But that's okay. She did it, and maybe next time she will trust Papa more.

This is how slow they went..... See how peaceful and relaxed they  look? Lydia may even look a little bored. :)

On September 28, 2013 Molly turned two years old. This girl is so much fun! Ever since she was born, she was a laughing baby. My sister Kelli called her a tickle me Elmo, and she still loves to laugh. Oh how I love her laugh. It is so pure and sincere. She had a good birthday.

Keely and Lydia did soccer together. Lydia didn't enjoy it as much as I thought she would, but nevertheless had a good time.
We had fun for Halloween this year. Molly got a lot of comments about how cute she was in that hat. Thanks dear sister Kelli for the great costume. It has been through 4 kids now.
We had a lot of fun FHEs for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have enjoyed preparing them. And the girls look forward to Monday nights every week. These are rice krispy turkeys can't you tell?

Christmas 2013 was fun. I love my family. :) And that sums up 2013........

It's Time..

It's time that I made a new post I think. Life is so busy over here at the Nelson home, I think that is what happens when you are raising little kids, and you get involved in a TV show like Psyhc, oh and you become the YW President in your ward to 28 girls. Yes, life is busy, but that is no excuse to write down some history. I want to look back and see that I did a good job to document our happy life as the Nelson family. The last thing I posted was the first day of school in 2012 for Keely. Well we are almost at that time of year again so I will do a quick recap and post pictures of the time from I last posted. Here we go.....
These pictures are from September 2012.

It is now 10 months later and I still see Molly begging Lydia to push her in those doll strollers.
Whenever we get a box in the mail, the girls have to decorate it and make it a "spaceship". I think they got the idea from the annoying show of Cailou.

We had a fun time at Jambo Park with our friends the Barlows.

Molly's funny faces crack me up. I think she is trying to "Cheese" for the camera. She is about a year in this picture, but for the life of me I can't find her birthday pictures...
I got to go to my high school and have an alumni volleyball tournament. It was way fun. My team which was my high school team almost beat out the current Mogollon high school team. Maybe next year we will get them.
I love October when the weather cools down, and we get to hang out in the back yard.
For Halloween 2012 we had some pretty cute cowgirls and of course the giraffe costume that all the girls have worn.

On Halloween night we hung with the Barlows and the kids got loads of candy.
I found these pictures on our old camera that Keely was playing with. She got some good shots.

When we go to my parents house for Thanksgiving we always get a Christmas tree to bring home. We got a great tree for Christmas and had fun playing in the patches of snow.

Thanksgiving 2012 Sam and Amanda got married the day after. My mom and Maumau got busy making a cake. They are a good team.
It was also my mom's birthday this year on Thanksgiving. We sure love her.

Keely had a Daddy Daughter dance at school during December, and the girls were excited to get dressed up and dance with their dad. I was asked to be the photographer and took all the portraits at the dance. It was nerve racking, but it turned out okay.

We sold the Williams van that has been in the family for about 13 years. It was sad to see it go. It has been so good to us.
In March 2013 we got some bunnies! They were so little and fun to play with. The girls never let them down.

I had fun making the girls Easter dresses. They were so easy and they turned out cute.

Molly broke her arm in March 2013. She just fell off the couch on our soft carpet, and sure enough it broke just like Keely's when she was that age. She only had it on for 3 weeks.
Shawn had his 31st birthday in May and we had a fun time celebrating.

Keely had her Kindergarten Musical in May 2013 and she did great. She loves school and she had such a great year.

Here is a picture of her teacher Mrs. Pemberton. She is a great teacher!
We banned all tablets and phones from the girls. There was too much of this going on in our house, and we finally said "NO MORE" :)
In May Lydia participated in a dance class for the first time, and did awesome! I was really impressed with how she followed the instructor and her dancing. We may do another class.

Lydia also turned 4 this year. She had a great day. We sure love this smiley happy full of energy girl. She has so much love in her heart.

In June we went camping with the Barlows and Haslers. It was a quick trip, but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully we can go again next year and make it a longer trip.

There I think that about sums up our time up until now. Whew, I feel better.
