DISNEYLAND

Happiest of birthdays to my little sweethearts. To celebrate, we decided to take a little trip with our little family. We bought deal online for a Disney package that was a steal and the kids flew free until 2 so we took advantage in their last week as 1 year olds. It was quite the whirlwind! They did so great on the flight down to LA. With Stephen working at the airport fire station, they have come to really love planes and everything about them! So they were entertained. As soon as we landed we headed straight for the beach. We sat and listened to the waves and let the babes run in diapers for a good hour and it. Felt. So. Amazing. Boise got their first snowfall the day we left. And here we were enjoying 80 degrees and sunny! Next stop... Anaheim. We checked in and took a beautiful nap and spent the rest of the day playing at the pool. Magical. Monday was Disney. We tried to just take it easy and let the kids enjoy and explore. It really wasn't too busy and they loved walking free (thanks to the child leash) and the carousel was a big hit. They are obsessed with horses! They fell asleep on  pirates of the Caribbean ride, that's how hard we wore them out! There is a magic at Disney that cannot be explained or measured. The food is always my favorite. Disney cookies are just out of this world. Every night the kids passed out as soon as we put them in the car. We had to carry them to our room and get them changed and ready for bed and they were completely out! We also drove down to San Diego sea world! Amazing! This was one of those things Stephen and I always wanted to do as kids so it was neat to experience it together. We really loved it. Charlee had a little accident:( she fell on the pavement and knocked her 2 front teeth back in her gums! It was the saddest thing ever. She cried for a good 15 minutes and then completely bounced back. The resilience that children have is astounding really! You hear it all the time but it is different when you experience it. She was laughing and eating chicken nuggets and fries and hour later. And we got really lucky, her teeth are coming back in perfectly. They should be all the way back this month. Poor thing has to go through all that teething pain again tho! :( she is a champ though. We got to watch the sun set at the beach there and visit the temple in the dark... It was so glorious and beautiful. Then back for another day this time California adventure. So much fun. It was really hot that day so we were very happy to find a splash pad in bugs life! The kids spent a lot of time there while Stephen and I switched going on big rides. It worked out pretty good. They had the most fun riding the Ferris wheel but loved every ride we did. World of color was wonderful. The kids were getting cranky but ice cream helped :) then we got another relaxing day on the beach in LA before jumping on a plane home. Going home sucks anyway, then add going through LAX security (i would rather bang my head against the wall for 30 minutes) and top it off with loosing our car seats and lap top:( not a great way to end the week. And we got 10" of snow the week we got home and were sick! Good thing we had great memories to keep us warm. Can't wait to go back. Love my family! Stephen is the coolest partner in crime/best friend ever. We are so mucky to have him. He makes our lives full of fun and excitement. And now... Pictures!

The not so secret lives of "bers" & "chAw-ee "

So This summer has been a whirl wind of swim diapers and flip flops and sunscreen, Grammys pool and jogging strollers, bike riding and splash pads play dates land otter pops and fall in your tracks napping for 2 houring. Such fun and so many memories. I swear I have certainly become that mom who would lose my own head if it wasn't screwed on. With almost-two-year-old twins there are many if not thousands of thoughts running through my head at all times. Which made public outings so interesting. A constant counting of heads took place. Accompanied by plenty of panic.  We were lucky enough to spend so much time with our families this summer. All 3 of my siblings and their families got to come stay at my parents with us!  We had lots of fun cousin time and far too much fun. Amongst all the chaos, Bear and Charlee were growing and learning tremendously! I love hearing the sweet words and mimics that come out of their mouths. Bear is the sweetest little human. Most of the time. When his sissy gets upset, he will comfort her by hugging her or finding her binkie for her or straight giving his own binkie to her. He lets her get away with just about anything. Shes a toy stealer. He finds something else to play with. He feeds her. He is so sweet to her. And to strangers. He will give out smiles "hi"s and waves for free. Charlee takes a minute to warm up, but I love it when they get in an "uh oh" war or "hiiii" war.  The best thing that has come out of those sweet little babe mouths... Each other's name. It just melts my heart every time. Especially when bear says "saw-ee chaw-ee" when apologizing. Everything with him gets a "g" sound. We've got heaps of "ginkies" and "gankies" around here. Then theses miss who favors the "s" "bers" ah I can hear it! So special. "Ber bers" that Charlee can be the sweetest little thing when she wants to be. She knows exactly how to work me over (and daddy and grandparents) she can sense when I'm upset or sad and she is very quick to come pat me on the back or pucker up and plant a kiss anywhere all over my face. She is a snuggler. They are so sneaky. Soooooooooo many messes. They can reach up on the counters which has been a nightmare. They are just now starting to watch movies. They haven't cared for any up to this point but a good signing time DVD sure gets them excited. Their favorite movies are tangled and frozen. They LOVE to have a dance party with mommy and their favorite songs are 'head shoulders knees and toes and Itsy bitsy spider. haha anyway, There are simply too many pictures to try to go through. But I gave it a shot, here is our life the last few months in pictures

So long summer!
Bring on the crisp autumn air with hayrides and Halloween and most importantly a SECOND birthday for these cuties. Enjoy the very best time of the year!
