received the following mail twice already. the first time i saw it, i couldn't relate to it so i trashed it. the second time i received it, i still couldn't relate to it but wondered how some people of my age could.****

Message: For those who born in the 70s and 80s (hello! bet most of you were born in the 80s). Fond memories......
1. You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk andMickey Mouse. Not to forget Ninja Turtles, My Little Pony and Smurfs too.
--> Nope i didnt watch He-man or transformers or whatever. i haveheard of smurfs and mickey mouse though i didnt watch them either. haha
2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary schoolduring recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmatesbeside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug.The teachers said youmust brush each side 10 times too.
--> No we didnt squat by the drain. wewere better-treated. we brushed at a proper sink. i rem the one abt e 'eachside 10 times' though. in fact i still do tt now.
3. You know what SBC stands for.
--> what on earth is SBC?
4. You pay 40cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
--> i didnt pay that. my parents didnt allow me to buy milk.
5. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1 about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called MeoroAttack.
--> excuse me? what's tt?? i dun live in mars.
6. You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in Secondary school.
--> nope. i had my own hp. =) i know i rawk.
7. SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are madeof wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loudBEEP! when pressed.There are colourful tickets forTIBS buses. The conductorwill check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole in theticket.
--> siao. that's in e 60's is it? wher got wooden seats and red cushion one? e bell wasnt red in colour and it didnt 'beep' either. punch holein e ticket??? tts really only e 60's la! (even denice couldnt relate to it can?)
8. Envelopes given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children'sDay.
--> right, sadly i rem this. no one wanted to donate.
9. You've probably read Young Generation magazine.You know who's Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable.
--> yes i admit i received tt magazine but i didnt read anything abt e vampire. by e way, vinny sounds too gay to be a vampire.
10. You were there when they first introduced MRT here. You went for the first ride with your parents and you would kneel on the seat to see the scenery.
--> i dont rem that.
11. Movie tickets used to cost only $3.50.
--> $3.50???!!! i believe when i was first born it was already more than that can!
12. Gals are fascinated by Strawberry Short Cake and Barbie Dolls.
--> i had never heard of strawberry shortcake until 2 years ago but i adored barbies.
13. You learn to laugh like The Count in Sesame Street .
--> i didnt watch any episode of sesame street.
14. You longed to buy tibits called Kaka (20 cents per pack), andDing Dang (50 cents per box), that had a toy in it and it changes every week.Not forgetting the 15 cents animal crackers and the ring pop,where the lollipop is the diamond on the ring.
--> wat ding dang and kaka?i didnt live in the kampong times.
15. You watched TV2 (also known as Channel 10) cartoons because Channel 5 never had enough cartoons for you.
--> i tot only cartoon networkhad cartoon?? nvm. but i didnt bother, i just watched channel 8 serials.
16. Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Fiveand Secret Seven are probably the thickest story books you ever thought you have read. Even Sweet Valley High and Malory Towers .
--> u r so so wrong. i only read R.L. Stine's Goosebumps and abt 4 of Enid Blyton's.
17. KFC used to be a high class restaurant that serve food in plates and let you use metal forks and knives.
--> hmm really?
18. The most vulgar thing you said was asshole and idiot and THE EXTREME WAS 'super white'... you just couldn't bring yourself to say the hokkien relative.
--> sad to say i didnt use any of those. i only scolded people 'go n die' or smthing.
19. Catching was the IN thing and twist as the magic word.
--> i think it WAS IN, though i never liked it. running sucks.
20. Your English workbooks was made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow.
--> i tot we had e nice n white PETS workbook?
21. CDIS were your bestfriend.
--> what shit is this?
22. The only computer lessons in school involved funny pixellised characters in 16 colours walking about trying to teach you maths.
--> no, i dont rem having any computer lesson for maths.
23. Waterbottles were slinged around your neck and a must everywhere you go.
--> i dont think i went everywhere with my water bottle.i did go everywhere with my pillow though.
24. Boys loved to play soccer with small plastic balls in the basketball court.
--> sorry, never paid attention to what they liked to do.
25. Teng-teng, five stones, chapteh, hentam bola and zero pointwere all the rage with the girls and boys too...
--> i can only rem fivestone and zero point. i seriously think e rest were for e period when pple lived in kampongs.
26. Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the most important plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being themost important fish.
--> huh? i only noe that balsam was poisonous orsmthing lk tt. y was it important?
27. Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, eternalized in ourminds from the textbooks. Even Mr Wally & Mr. Yakki. What abt Miss Lala???And Zaki and Tini in Malay Textbooks?
--> WHAT?? (okay i can conclude that e person who wrote this email is a Malay. coz only Malays read Malay textbooks)
28. We carry out experiments of our own to get ourself badges for being a Young Zoologist/Botanist etc.
--> oohh ya ya ya!!
29. Every Children's day and National day you either get pins or pens with'Happy Children's Day 1993' or dumb files with 'HappyNational Day1994'.
--> LOL! guess that stretched over at least 2 decades.
30. In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother.
--> no leh. dun rem having a chance to bully juniors.
31. We wear BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
--> i wore smthing else la!
32. Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
--> my science was taught by a separate teacher.
33. The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality.
--> no loh!
34. You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained,and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and weardry and warm socks and shoes.
--> yes!!
35. School dismissal time was normally around 1 pm.
--> wah so early???
36. There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday.
--> =(
37. Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave $3 or more for pocket money everyday.
--> yeah i was one of those that thought my classmates were rich.
38. You see Wee Kim Wee's face in the school hall.
--> whos that? i tot it was our president's face? (later on i learnt tt Wee Kim Wee WAS our president then)
39. You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl.
--> i didnt freak out. i got used to it.
40. Boys like to catch fighting spiders.
--> ya. so dumb right, i know.
41. Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys.
--> i rem my bros doing that.
42. Autograph books were loaded with "Best Wishes", "Forget Me Not",and small poems like "Bird fly high, hard catch.Friend like you, hard to forget".
--> haha yaa loads of poems like 'roses r red, violets r blue.honey is sweet but not as sweet as u'
43. Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!"
--> no leh. most of them were my frens.
44. There were at least 40 people in one class.
--> nope i rem 39.
45. Large, colourful schoolbags were carried.
--> not exactly large lah! just squarish.
46. You brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable.
--> hello! we had every subject everyday! can dun bring meh? got timetable big deal. only told u wat time wat lesson wat.u mean u had one whole day science, e next day from morning till afternoon maths meh?

a very late post on new year's eve 2006!met angela at 10.30am in town to sing k-box!! wahaha coz its much cheaper when we take the k-lunch. not as if i can eat the meals they provide, i know. but i gave the chicken from my bento to angela and she gave me her fruits and seaweed. hahah
angela!!
after that, met darren, mag, chong feng and francis at 4plus.
practically did nothing except to cam-whore the whole day.

then we went out of mac to take a group photo. asked a passerby to help us take a picture and it ended up like this:
hahahaha the person cut away darren!!! hahaha! then he ran away quickly! think he realised that darren was part of us afterall. hahha then darren wanted to stand in the middle for the next photo. we asked another paserby to help us.

this is our natural shot; chong feng is naturally expressionless. i am naturally vain. mag is naturally blur. francis is naturally spastic.

but darren still loves them!!
mag loves to take pictures of people she doesnt know.
we posed for this photo for more than 15 minutes, right outside wisma toilet. all because that chong feng and francis kept telling us to go near, move further, tilt left, tilt right. i kept screaming, 'i cant go any nearer! any nearer and i will kiss darren!'. people around kept watching and smirking.
at 11 something, went to meet waiyee, vard, marc, yc, rence and jiafeng. squeezed into vard's car to go to marina bay to catch the fireworks. town area's jam was horrible man.
while the rest went to the toilet, wy and i took the chance to cam-whore in the car!!
