next time, whenever your friends tease you and get you annoyed, never never never use the phrase,
'leave me alone!'
because, right after you have said that, your friend will ask you to get out of his house.
that was what happened to me.
marcus, albert and wai ling would not stop teasing me (as if it was part of their survival reflex actions and without doing that, they would die). i couldnt take it any longer and so i used that forbidden phrase mentioned above. (we were at marcus' house fixing the puzzle). and so you should be able to guess what marcus, the owner of that house, said.
so, you should say,
'leave me alone - verbally!!'
but then, again, it is not entirely right to do so as your friends will still ask you to get out of the house or they will choose to totally ignore you.
which is better, i dont know.
haha. yeah and so i had been going over to marcus' house to fix clarence's puzzle - the one which was supposed to be his last year's birthday present but is gonna be carried forward to this year's simply because that 2000-piece puzzle was not completely fixed.
people might think that fixing a puzzle is as simple as feeding the goldfish in the tank, but really, it gets very tough when you have to fix the background (which is ALL brown). all remaining 500 (i think) pieces of jig-saw are ALL BROWN. like how do you complete it?
trial-and-error? that was what we did - trying to fit a single jig-saw into the three-quarter-completed puzzle by trying to force it to fit into one of those empty spaces.
we started on monday(for the background) and we completed it today(thursday).
that sense of achievement when you stand up staring down at the wonderfully-completed winnie-the-pooh puzzle is simply overwhelming.
you would want to have a celebration with loads of chocos and ice-cream.
but honestly, i would never want to go through this again.
though it trains one's patience, it highly demoralizes you at the same time, when you cant seem to find out where that teeny piece of jig-saw actually belongs to. (and when you have friends around you declaring the number of pieces they had fixed so far, yet you had only fitted one in.)
yeah, nonetheless, i thank god that it's completed!
besides fixing the puzzle today(though albert was the one who did most of it today), we bought vegetables to make ourselves dinner. this decision was led to by the fact that marcus and i were broke and could only spend our coins which added up to a total of $1.20. being nice and kind, albert offered to pay for the remaining cost for the vege. we bought baby corn, mushroom, kai lan, toufu and potatoes. it was a vegetarian meal! wahahaha!! so considerate of them, right?
but anyway, marucs did the cooking and albert did the fixing of the puzzle.
what was i doing?
i was learning culinary skills from marcus and occasionally helping albert with my trial-and-error skills.
so yeah, i have learnt how to cook! (i hope)
i seriously think i have talent in cooking!
i shall make myself a very nice dinner some time soon.
and i shall invite my friends over! (if they are willing to and if they do not demoralize me by telling me that i would burn my house down or they would die after eating my food)
yeahh!!! after i have fully mastered the art of cooking, i am qualified to get married and to cook for my husband!!
then, my husband and children will have nice and nutritious food everyday!
i shall go to the market and i shall cook everyday!!
oh wait.
that sounds kinda tiring and a bit too housewife-y.
i dont really like cooking that much actually.
i saw the way marcus cooked and how stressed he got when he found the gravy 'disgusting' (quoted from his mouth. even though i actually found it nice).
hmms, maybe my tastebuds arent working that well.
well, maybe my husband shall do the cooking and i shall do the dishes afterall! =)

okie.. marcus claims that i owe him 8 hours and a favour because i asked him out to console wailing that day. and he has just asked me to update my blog and talk about how nice he is. hahahas. so i am just here to place this one sentence here..
marcus is niceeeeee.
happy now, marcus?? lolx. and no, i am not going to put up the other part which you wanted me to.
hahahahahas. of couse i am also going to talk about my life this few days too (partly beacuse this might be my last post before school re-opens, and when school re-opens, the probability of me blogging is 0.00125%).
hmms.. actually nothing interesting. just went to chalet, ikea, queensway shopping centre and jurong point this few days. yeaps. and i have enrolled my IS (ie. electives or whatever you call it, for those not from np). for the first half of my semester, i am going to take up 'Psychology of Creativity'. don't ever ask me what's that because i have no idea as well and i can't be bothered to find out through NPal. i picked this because i enrolled for it at 10pm and my stupid com lagged. by the time i could enrol, i only had a few other shit-ti-fied modules like 'Man and Machine' and 'Appreciating Literary Works' to choose from. so obviously 'Psychology of Creativity' sounds more interesting right? and it also sounds more 'high-class'. lolx. (for those who disagree, you are freaks.) yeah. and for the second half of the semester, i am going to take up 'Effective Storytelling'. okie, i can see all of you raising your eyebrows in amusement. i can explain this retarded decision of mine okie? actually, before the enrollment, mag, ser and i have decided to take up more interesting modules like 'Business Etiquette' and 'TV beyond Entertainment' (i know i know, they are so different from what i actually took up right?) . but when francis enrolled, he only managed to get 'Introduction to Social Psychology' and 'Effective Storytelling'. and so, mag suggested that we ALL take the same ones and get into the same classes. however, when i was enrolling at my slot, i couldnt get into 'Social Psychology' at all. and since 'Effective Storytelling' is one of the most disgusting modules anyone can take up, there were vacancies left for it, so i took that in order to be in the same class as the rest for the second half of the semester. see? all my actions are properly accounted for now. i am not dumb. i know my modules are crap so please don't go, 'storytelling????!!!! wahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahas!!!!' anymore okie?? i am in great distress. somebody please get me some chocolates to cheer me up or bring me out for some fresh air.
okok, in case you cant tell, i wasnt serious about being upset. actually, i dont feel anything. in other words, i dont really care. lolx. (but the part about choco is real. =) )

Friday, 7th Oct 2005:
supposed to be TA22's class outing. the original plan was to go to the zoo in the afternoon, then pizza party at francis' house and overnight. however, it turned out that less than 5 people were free in the afternoon to go to the zoo. and so, the zoo thing was cancelled. out of 17 of us, only 8 people could make it to the pizza party.
think it couldn't be worse? wrong! later, guizhi said she didnt wanna go anymore because in her clique, only she could make it. i don't blame her 'cause if i were her, i would do the same. =) then, michelle couldn't make it too because she had to stay for dinner at home. so.. it became a clique outing!
my clique's outing! hahas! we were all supposed to meet at toa payoh at 6.30pm, all 7 of us (including wailing, who's not my classmate). serene, mag and darren said they would be late, so they would be going to francis' house by themselves. we waited for crystle till 7plus and we went to take bus no. 73 (now, people, you can stalk francis) to francis' house. that stupid bus.. made us wait for half an hour. the queue beside ours was for bus no. 283 or something like that. that irritating interchange had to make a bus no. 283 come every one minute! it was so frustrating! we were there waiting patiently (or impatiently) for 73, and we had to witness so many of that 283 coming. it wasn't the best feeling i tell you.
sorry, let me backtrack a bit. on my way to toa payoh with wailing, on the train, i was super irritated. know why? 'cause there was this really irritating 30-something-year-old guy who stood super close to me. and he was like super tall so he was practically breathing air onto my hair!! so disgusting!! arghhhhh!!!!!! as if that was not enough, when i was alighting, i said 'excuse me', and instead of letting go of his hand from the bar (or whatever you call that), he lifted his arm higher so that i could crawl (okie, i walked) under his armpit. yuckssss!! he made me go under his armpit!!!!!arggghhhh!!!
okie.. so we reached francis' house at 8plus (with darren there too) and while waiting for the rest to turn up, we ordered 4 pizzas which, before they reached, crystle had to leave already because she was meeting her friends in town. serene then messaged saying that she would not be coming as it was late and she wasnt going to stayover. mag and xuehai (francis' friend) came over at 11plus. we couldn't finish the pizza at all because it was too much.
after wailing went home, we (in case you are lost now, it was xuehai, francis, darren, mag and i) went to a pub (time in a bottle) as the guys wanted to drink. (i remember that place.. my parents brought me there before when they went there to meet a friend). i didnt like that place at all because 1) i don't drink. 2) the music was too loud. 3) there were people smoking and the smoke was lethal!!!!
after that, xuehai cabbed home and the rest of us returned to francis' house to sleep. (we were all stinking and everything. including my beloved trademark jacket) it was around 4am when we all tried to sleep. mag and i were supposed to sleep on the bed when darren and francis on the mattresses. but i wasn't used to sleeping on the bed so i switched places with francis because he didnt allow me to sleep on the sleeping bag. we couldnt really sleep until 6plus because francis and mag were bickering all the way and francis accused me of spoiling his stupid earphones (when they were actually not spoilt at all). woke up at 12 plus, ate the left-over pizza, continued watching 'meet the fockers' and then i went church! and now i am back. yeaps. i know this entry is long but i wont be blogging often so it's forgiven eh?? =)

anyway, did i tell you guys about wai ling?? she's a super determined ger man..look at this scenario:
-we were msn-ing and i was trying to download a lot of things.
-so my com lagged.
-so i msged her telling her tt i would talk to her later because my com was lagging
-she said the com was like me n completely ignored my request as she immediately sent me an invitation to the game 'be jeweled'.
-i said, 'wl, i told u my com is lagging and you want me to play games with you???'
-she went, 'aiya, wont make a difference.'
-like what??!!
-but fortunately, msn games showed this msg, 'msn games are currently unavailable' (or something along that line)
-she was rather upset.
-then she sent the invitation to the same game again after 10 seconds.
-the msg came out again.
-again, she was upset.
-she then sent another invitation.
-the msg came out and this went on for another 10 over times with an interval of 20 seconds.
-until she decided to give up.
-but not for long.
-for....
-she sent an invitation again after 1 minute.
-and carried it on another few more times before she REALLY GAVE UP.
-i told her, 'wah.. wailing.. you really never-say-die ah?'
