anyway, some of you might already know, that was the first time i flew on the plane. i know i know. it's like 'wahahah! are you sure?!?!', together with the mocking smile. but just thought you might be interested to know, this person here is not as wealthy as you okay! so anyway, tiger airways was like soo uncomfortable with those ridiculously straight-up seats. though it was only a 2-hour ride each time, it had caused me shoulder, neck and backaches. if i have the chance, i will not want to take tigers again.
alright, enough said. here goes:
we arrived at the thailand airport:
the bangkok hotel (baiyoke boutique) totally rocks. it's not exactly luxurious but the service there was damn good. it's like a total opposite of the dumb hotel we stayed at pattaya where the people there didnt understand english. seriously. i so wanna complain!
1) the baiyoke hotel provided us with flasks that we could use to boil water with. the pattaya apparently did not. and we had to call the reception to get them to deliver hot water to our rooms just so that we could eat our cup noodles. so when bao called the receptionist, that was how the conversation went..
bao: hi, can we have hot water please?
staff: may i know what's your room number?
bao: 802
staff: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... okay!
(i could so imagine him counting off his fingers)
when the boiled water came,
staff: hot water. *pointing to flask*
bao: ok thanks. how do i return this after we are done?
staff: *looking extremely confused and annoyed* hot water.
(right, she thought we were retards)
bao: ya ok. how to return?? (obviously trying to simply the sentence)
staff: HOT WATER.
bao: okok.
2) in baiyoke, we could borrow the travel adapters so that we could charge our hps and cameras. in the pattaya one, they didn't even provide anything like that.
3) we had to pay CASH deposit for the hotel rooms in pattaya. utterly ridiculous! like 1,500 baht?! (approx. SGD70)
4)baiyoke rooms are much MUCH nicer.
5) i had to kick open the hotel room door for the pattaya hotel EVERYTIME. like KICK OPEN you know!?! and when i wanted to open the door from the inside, i had to use so much strength i could feel myself almost falling backward.
6) the pattaya hotel rooms didnt even provide us with bottled water like the baiyoke one did.
7) the water heater in the pattaya hotel room sucked. the water will turn boiling hot one moment, and freezing cold the next.
8) baiyoke's hairdryer was PINK, whereas the pattaya's was plain white.
9) baiyoke had a very nice full-length mirror in every room.
okay, look at the baiyoke room:
unfortunately, i didnt take any picture of the pattay room. but i can assure you that the baiyoke one looks better.
the alcatzar show:
(super pretty and hot la!)
at koh lan island:

bet you didnt know that i would dare to para-ski, did you?)
