The New DT.....

This is always the hardest part of running a challenge blog, choicing the DT. There are so many uber talented crafters out there. Thank you everyone for throwing your name in the hat. I honestly wish I could have picked you all! I so hope you will apply again for the next term.
It is always sad to see the old team members leave and we hope they will stop by and see us from time to time. But I am really excited for all of you to see what the new ladies share with us!
The newest members will be joining the previous team of Amanda Bodine, Linda Lapotka, Rene' Bailey and Regina Jones.

Our newest talent is.....

Please take a minute to meet these talented ladies! I am thrilled they will be part of SSDS!

Hello Everyone! My name is Veronica Baker thou everyone in the scrapping world calls me Just A Pac Rat. I live in Nashville MO which is around 20 miles from Joplin MO where I help my husband run a Computer Repair Shop called Spur's Computer Cures. I have also owned Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking & More store for about 12 years. I have recently opened up my own website (www.circlebenterprises.com) instead of being only an Ebay Store and am slowly getting all my inventory added for sale there, but it is a never ending task.I am also a new Certified SDU Scrapbook Instructor for Michael's and on Scrappily Ever After's Design team. I have been scrapbooking for 12 years but starting making cards about 4 years ago. I discovered OWH (Operation Write Home) in March 2010 and have been making tons of cards a month for them since. I love that I have this huge outlet now to make my lovely cards for as I was running out of relatives to give them too, LOL!I have been married to my best friend and high school sweetheart, David, for 27 years. We have two children and 3 grandchildren now. I look forward to getting to know everyone and seeing all the wonderful ideas you have in the future!Just A Pac RatPS. I just got a new Cricut and Gypsy machines. If you have any tips and tricks to share, I would love to hear them!

I love paper crafting in all forms – cards, layouts, 3D projects, etc. I started scrapbooking a few years ago and then went into card making, and then started making 3D projects. I started a blog a year ago and then started entering various challenges. Now, a year later, I am on the Design Team of Stamp Scrap & Doodle, BBTB2, The Cutting Cafe, The Cuttlebug Spot, Charisma Cardz, and Paper Cutz. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hobby! Oh yeah, I also am on a Tennis League and Golf League, enjoy ballroom dancing, exercising, spinning/biking, and Zumba.

Hello fellow scrappers! I’m Christel a.k.a. Scrappin’ Sista and I currently reside in Roanoke, VA with my DH and our four children. Due to my DH’s job, we move a lot and will probably move again next summer. We just moved here from Charlotte, NC. Daylon our oldest is 13 years old and is in the 8th grade. The biggest new thing with him (no pun intended) is that and wears a size 14 shoe. He’s going to need a job soon. Christen is 8 years old and a dancer and artist. She is definitely the shyest of the bunch. Danita is 7 years old and battles autism. She is a phenomenal artist and I’m going to have to include some of her artwork in a project real soon. Then comes Caleb. He’s 5 years old and you will soon learn that he’s the spiciest of them all. He started kindergarten this year. Lord knows, my quiver is full.
My DH got me hooked on scrapbooking when he created my first album for me for Christmas in 2004. I remember it clearly because he would sneak off on Saturdays and I was pregnant with Caleb. You know the hormones were raging. Every since he presented me with the beautiful gift of love, I have been hooked. I have recently started creating cards as well as altered projects. I think my favorite thing to do though is create LO’s. My style is clean yet edgy with a touch of whimsy.
Until last year, I was a teacher. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I enjoy teaching but with the DH’s job, it’s hard getting a job. So, I am at home until the afternoons when I work at the local Boys and Girls’ Club as a Recreation Specialist.I am super excited to be a part of the Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturdays Design Team. This is a first for me and I can’t wait. I look forward to seeing all your creations for the challenges. Let’s inspire one another!Happy Scrappin’!
Hi!
I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Dee Pritschet, my given name is Delora but the only people that call me that are my relatives. I live in Bismarck, the capital city of North Dakota.
I have been married 30 years to my wonderful husband, Bruce and have two children Mandy and Brent. Both of our children are married and they each have two children. I have 4 grandsons; Toby, Zach, Madden and Kyan – the oldest is 5 and the youngest is 1 month old.
My family means everything to me. I feel blessed that my entire family lives within 15 miles of each other and we usually get together for Sunday dinners. We usually wind up watching the Minnesota Twins baseball game or the Minnesota Vikings game.
I am a stay at home wife/mother. I lost my job last year but after a weeklong pity party and the support of my family, I’ve dedicated my time to making and selling a few cards. More importantly, I’m able to help out my family whenever the need arises.
I started scrapbooking 15 years ago and a couple years ago I started to make a few cards here and there, mostly to use us those scraps of paper leftover from my scrapbooking pages. A new passion was found, I love to make handcrafted cards and the occasional paper craft item.
I prefer to use digital stamps as I appreciate the versatility they can provide. I do own many rubber stamps but for some reason at the least opportune moment I’ll smudge or smear just where I don’t want it. Although I have to admit some of my favorite cards are those where I’ve had to fix a problem!
I’m really excited to get to know everyone on the team!
Dee

I am a newlywed to Mike and we are in the process of fixing up our first home.
I have always loved to craft in one form or another.
My favorite class in school was always art class. I started scrapping as a teen
using those metallic page photo albums and stickers, and began scrapping the 'new' way a little over 6 years ago, around the same time I became a stamper.
I love to create and share my love of crafting with others. Blogging and challenges have really opened my art world even more. I'm looking
forward to being a part of the SSDS team!

the challenge...and a DT CALL

Thanks for joining us for another Stamp, Scrap and Doodle challenge! We loved seeing every one's Christmas projects, looks like everyone is gearing up for those cards!

The winner of last weeks challenge is Tamidolphin! Congrats please email me and I will let you know how to claim your prize. You can see more of Tamidolphin's work HERE!
Also, if anyone has emailed me and hasn't heard back from me could you please drop me another message. I do apologize, I got some setting changed in my email awhile back and I think I lost some messages in the process because I have been told of someone that has been trying to get up with me.

Before we get to the challenge this week I want to tell you about the DT Call! I can't believe it has been 6 months already! We are going to do it a little differently this time. I want you to make a NEW project just for this call and don't post it anywhere yet. It can be anything you like just show me your style!
We have a private yahoo group for the dt members. This is where you will find all challenges, post your challenge projects and chit chat with the rest of the team. This cuts down on emails and gives everyone a chance to get to know each other. I post challenges in advance so that you can work ahead as much as you would like too.
All we ask for is one new project each week to be posted on the yahoo group no later than noon EST on Fridays. Every now and then we may ask for an extra project for a special reason but that is rare. We require comments to be left for our participants! This is important, everyone loves getting love for their projects!
If you would like to be a part of our fun little team please send the following to me at ssdschallengeblog@gmail.com I will email you letting you know I got it so if you don't hear from me please send it again!
The term will be from October 1st-April 30th we will have a break around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Deadline: Thursday, September 23rd at 10 PM EST!
1. link to your blog
2. any design teams you are own or have been on previously
(if you have a resume and would rather send that it is fine too)
3. your unseen project
4. let me know if you make sketches, I am always in need of sketches
I will try to have the new DT Members posted by that weekend depending on when I hear back from everyone.
We are looking forward to seeing every ones entries! Good Luck and Happy Crafting!
Now lets move on to this weeks challenge!
This weeks challenge is simple. We want to see a Thank You card, gift etc. So let your imagination go wild!
