Boston

So my first time to Boston. I finished in Concord, NH early and decided to go to Boston to meet some coworkers and my old boss. Got to the hotel with no problem. So I map the restaurant on Yahoo Maps. No problem..25 minutes...ok I'll give myself 45 min cause of traffic. Damn, it took me 1 1/2 hours to find this place. Boston has no streets labelled...at least not very well. I don't know how I ended up finding the restaurant at all but I did.

Don't get me wrong...after looking around Boston, it looks like a really nice town and something that I would probably like but it was just so confusing. Next time I'm not driving!

Concord, NH

I thought Portland, ME was small...gosh. There is absolutely nothing to do in Concord, NH. To top it off, the only hotel that allows dogs is either a Comfort Inn or Best Western. Lucky me huh? Not saying there is much better...the only other two that are better is the Hampton Inn and Courtyard Marriot. Sad huh? Well, two weeks here and off to St. Louis...can't wait. I'm counting down the days till Friday when I get to go home for the weekend. It's sad when you wake up and think it's Wednesday and realize that it's just Tuesday. At least I've been able to catch up on all my TV series on DVD. Got to watch OC season 2 a few weeks ago, One Tree Hill Season 2 last week, started Smallville Season 4 and Lost Season 1. But can't wait to buy Desparate Housewives and watch that too!

Sad I know...but I love TV shows!

Portland, Maine

So I got into Portland last night and definately forgot to check the weather forecast. It's decent in the day but at night they say it drops to the 50s. Nice one...I already get cold easily and now I have to deal with being here at night when it's cold with not much warm clothes. I guess I'll just have to go shopping then. The hotel is not that nice but I guess it'll do. I had to get a smoking room too since their policy is smoking rooms for pets. The bed is nice and soft though.

Well I'm a little excited to be here though. I don't think I'd ever come here on my own so I'm glad I'm here for work. I heard it's nice here. So we're going to enjoy it while we're here. It was kinda sad leaving NYC though. When I was back this weekend, the weather was great in the 70/80s. Not muggy at all. Makes me sad that I'll be missing great weather there, but oh well. There's always the weekends I guess. Anyways, off to work...
