Weddings

Weddings after weddings after weddings...soon gets very expensive. I've noticed that I'm in that time in life when most of my friends are getting married...which brought me to the thought of an episode of "Sex and the City". When everyone celebrates getting married...what about the people that end up never getting married in their life? Why doesn't society ever celebrate them? People spend so much money on people that get married, have kids, buy a homes, etc...what about the people who decide in life not to have those things? Do they just need to go and live life as if they have nothing to celebrate? How does that make them feel? I guess all these questions have started to come up cause I've come to the realization that there is always a chance that this may be me. Is society still stuck on their ways of traditional couples, family, etc that there isn't something for people who decide to not get married or never find that perfect one?

I think one day...not sure how long it'll take but one day, they should have a national singles day...that's a good idea.

Coincidence

So I was emailing my best friend from high school today as she had just informed me that one of our good friends had just had another baby girl. What great news! In the midst of our catching up email, we realized that she was going to Palm Springs this weekend and I was going to Las Vegas for work. It was sooo cool to find out that she had a lay over in Las Vegas Friday night from 10pm to 10am the next morning! I'm so excited to be able to meet up with her and hang out. Vegas was already going to be fun, and now it's going to be even better!
