greetings! ((:
i hope everyone here is in good health and has had enjoyed this well deserved term break. i know, it is never enough right? haha. anyhow, i believe for those who have signed up for the beginner's golf lessons will be ending their sessions next week with the (pc) proficiency certificate test. with that, i am certain you guys had picked up the necessary basic skills needed to further your play in golf.
that aside, my purpose is to tell that the subsidy for the golfing fees will only take place when the parental signature of the forms that is with anthony now is signed by your parents respectively. as such, when term starts we would disseminate the forms. it might seem laborious but we all know that proper procedures need to be adhered to when it comes to the school administration.
as such, i think it is clear to one and all. meanwhile...let us enjoy the holidays for what is left.

a switch in 4pm and 5pm timeslot for wednesdays' trainings

am sorry to break the news for you guys, but dave had informed me about a change in the time slot.
he said 'the coach has a commitment which is a new one imposed on him, this programme called the first tee just started so he needs to move the 4pm and 5pm wed class to 7pm and 8pm.'
I understand that it might be a bit tight for you guys, but please settle it with the coach directly and work out a time slot.
it'll be best for all that way, since there'll be no communication breakdown, which leads to delays that we ALL dread.
i should be around at keppel on wed, so when there's an agreement, please let the committee know about the new time slot, so we can always update you guys!

ok guys, i admit the options are flooding my mind, i even have our national bird, crimson sunbird, in mind. check this out:

Mascot for SP Student Golf Club/Team!
now we've got something to do! real time!
i'm suggesting that we have a MASCOT! for SP Student Golf! :) some animal mascot like the american college sports teams.
some have suggested tiger, lion, cobra, etc. we have all sorts. but we'll have to settle down a little with a poll (found in this blog!). poll will close on 10th Sept! so hurry and vote for your favourite mascot!

Golf Lessons - Finally starting!
Hi guys,
sorry for the delay and late late response, but finally, it's gonna start tomorrow! :)
Anyway, since it's the first lesson, I think it'll be good for ALL groups to go tomorrow at 4pm (coach(es) is(are) free then).
Afterwhich, you guys will arrange the best time slot as a group.
Don't worry, I will accompany you guys for your first lesson, since I'll have to pay for 3 members' course fee, too.
Ok, so guys, please be ready for tomorrow's lesson, and I hope to seek your guys' forgiveness for the LONG delay. To be honest, I don't wish that to happen too, since it reflects badly on the committee.
So yeah, ALL ARE SET!

Friday's Game!
Hi guys!
Super excited for the Friday's Game! :D We will be playing in foursome format (unless the SMU side decide to change).
And yeah, please meet on Thurs for me to collect $65. We'll discuss if we want turf mate @additional $10 pax.

First game of the year!
Alright guys, I won't try to hide my feelings.
I'm all pumped to play with, or rather, against (heehee) SMU for the first time in two years.
David of SMU told me it'll be TENTATIVELY on next week. Hope you guys can make it.

I know it is frustrating for all of us, including myself, to have to wait for so long, and yet the lessons have not started.
However, please also understand that we have tried our best to liaise as efficiently with the SMU and the academy side.
This is our first time working out with SMU, so administrative stuffs were cleared a week after your submission of the course fee. SMU then have to liaise with the academy for the best time slots for you guys.
Therefore, it is finally set to start this week.
Then something delay this again: the coaches are back to the hometown. o.O On this one, we can only *cough*point our fingers at *ahem* *cough*.
So yeah, please hold the temptation to trash us up while we try to make it butter-smooth for the rest of any events.
Thank you for your understanding and also we apologize for the inconvenience again.

Hey guys.
Thanks to those that came for the first meet.
I know the journey sucked ass, being the first time there. I hope you all don't get discouraged.
Well, at least we know the procedure so things should run faster this week.
Also, we need everyone to pay for the range balls. Every 30 balls is $3. We didn't collect it from you guys last week coz it wasn't mentioned before. So now we did :D
And would everyone kindly take home their assigned clubs starting this week? Someone has to take the load back to school. I won't. I'll be re-distributing the clubs again. Make sure you take them back with you.

Fresh New Crew, Fresh Start
Alright, it's a new acad. year (09/10) and there has been major changes to the committee line-up and protocol with aims to keep the club up and running smoothly.
I'd like to say that this semester's intake has been a rousing success with 73 new members. 73 may not be high compared to Muay Thai or your friendly Skate Club, but due to the club's nature, we will have to limit our numbers.
But let's not get into that just yet.
We will get everyone to head on down to Keppel Country Club on next Friday, 29th May 2009.

Honestly, I've not been there for a proper training before. Previously, our training was held at Bukit Batok driving range. This is our first year at Keppel.

We will gather everyone in school, 5pm at Foodcourt 5 (KFC), before heading off, so we can delegate the golf clubs to everyone. Currently we are unsure that the club lockers can be rented to us, non Keppel Club-members, hence our new scheme to assign golf clubs and it would be your duty to take good care of it.
