Ben and Katie's Wedding

Greg's little sister, Katie, got married on Saturday, February 26th in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a great weekend!! We were able to go down last weekend (February 20-21) to go with Katie through the Provo Temple. That was a special day--we were happy we could be there with her. Then we came home and went back down on Thursday, February 24th to beat the snow storm that was expected to hit Utah Friday morning. We were happy we drove down early because Utah County did get quite a bit of snow. We had a big family brunch on Friday at Mimi's Cafe. There were 38 people there---34 people from Katie's family and 4 from Ben's. It has been a long time since Greg's whole family was together. There are 9 kids in his family and everyone came for the wedding. We were missing 5 cousins and 2 spouses. The kids had a great time reacquainting with cousins and we enjoyed our visits with Greg's siblings and their families. We helped decorate for the reception and prepare food, etc for the big day. I went to sleep at my sister, Diana's, house--with Brynn so we wouldn't have to fight for a shower or to use a mirror!! ha When you have 22 people sharing 3 1/2 bathrooms you know it's going to be crazy! I wanted to be able to get ready in peace for the wedding that was on Saturday morning. We drove to SL for the wedding--while we attended the ceremony in the Temple, the children and others who were unable to go, visited in the Visitor's Center. It was a beautiful winter day when we got there....then it started to snow. It was snowy and cold when Ben and Katie came out. We stuck around for some pictures and then headed back to Springville to help get ready for the reception. Katie looked beautiful and the reception was so nice. It was a busy weekend--but fun to be with family and celebrate such a special day with Katie, Ben and of course, Avery! Congrats guys!!

More Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day morning--a couple of Zach's lady friends came over and did a number on his bedroom! They called me the night before to make sure it was okay and then got here around 8:30 am. They spent a full 30 minutes hanging streamers, balloons, lacey hearts (hey her name is Lacey--hee hee). I snapped a few pictures so he could remember the fun mess he got to clean up a week and a half later :-). We had strawberry milk with our breakfast, I made our favorite heart sugar cookies for after school and then heart shaped pizza for dinner. For dessert we had heart shaped strawberry cheesecake. I even found a cute "heart" hairdo for Brynn's hair. We don't go all out, but the little "heart" and "pink" touches make the day fun. Greg and I celebrated Valentine's Day on the 19th when we went to dinner and then to see Brian Regan in concert here in Logan. He is SO funny! If you don't know who he is, check him out on youtube!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am feeling so blessed to have such awesome Valentine's in my life!! I have the greatest husband ever! Greg is so good to both me and the kids. I love that he takes the time to really talk with our kids and spend time with them (even if it means beating them at an Xbox game, ha!). My four kids make me so proud. I love them all so much! I feel so blessed to be a wife and a mother and consider them all my very special Valentine's....love you guys!
