The Last Game

Today Zach finished up his Superleague at Mountain Crest....don't they all look so happy! It was an act, they didn't want any smiles...a bunch of 14 year old sweaty boys! They will be playing in a tournament in Ogden March 8th--we just need to see how that is going to work with Tanner's hockey tournament the same weekend in Provo!!! One player on the Stangs is already going to be missing so without Zach there will be no bench! Zach wants to go to Provo with us and we don't want to leave him (we leave him home more often than we take him anymore). So, we'll see!! The coaches may sign up for other tournaments, but we think for the most part basketball is done. We are not going to know what to do with our Saturdays---until Baseball season when we are gone every weekend again. I sound like I'm complaining about it---I don't mean to--we actually love it and enjoy watching our kids in their sports and activities---but sometimes it is nice to have those Saturdays free! We'll look back on this time of our life and miss it someday!

Just Messing Around

We had a few days that made us think Spring was around the corner, but not today! We are getting tons of snow right now--it's been snowing for seven hours with heavy winds! They actually closed USU campus tonight which never happens...there is hope! We tried to skip out of hockey practice, but Tanner really wanted to go and Greg was willing to make the drive across town. Since we can't play outside, we took a few silly pics inside....hope all is well!

Winter 2008

We keep getting pounded with snow this winter--it has been so nice! The kids keep hoping for a snow day, but it really will never happen! They don't ever cancel school here. It has been snowing all day today and still is! January flew by as we continued to support Zach in his basketball (The Stangs) and Tanner in hockey (CVAHA PeeWee 2). We (Greg, Denise & Tanner) traveled to Idaho Falls Jan 25-26 for hockey games and left the other three with Grandma and Grandpa Butler. Zach will be ending his Superleague career in basketball on February 26th . Tanner's final hockey tournament is March 8th and then he'll be done for awhile. The next step for Zach is to try out for the Freshman team next year. He is also playing on the Priests Basketball team at church and loving that! Brynn is all signed up for soccer so that will be the next sport for us before Baseball starts for all four kids in the late spring/early summer. The kids are all doing well in school and staying busy. Tanner is looking forward to a ski trip with school on Tuesday and hoping Greg can tag along.
