A blog post....It's about time!!

To say it's been a while since I have done a post on here is an understatement! We have moved back by family in Utah and it's good to be close to them again. We had a wonderful Christmas and are always grateful for this time of year to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Our Christmas Tree. Yep, it's pathetic looking, but when it's get knocked over about every other day with my busy kiddos, I have decided to wait on having a nice tree until my kids get older.
Santa came! I'm glad he pulled through with the remote control cars, it's all my boys have talked about wanting to get!
A new Cd player, Justin Beiber CD's and Taylor Swift CD's...one happy girl!
Superheros in the house!!

Our most recent family picture. I can't believe how big my kiddos are getting!
We went to the Festival of Trees in Sandy. I love going and it's great to be back so we can go again every year. My kids had a blast in the craft area. (Bennett painting his cute ornament)

FHE, in a tent!

Last night we did Family Home Evening in our tent! The kids totally had a blast and of course, want to do FHE in a tent every week now!

And naturally to go along with our tent theme, we had S'mores for dessert!

Love that face!

Bryan helping Bennett with his S'more!
It was a success and I think we'll do it again!

Lake job...

So my job at the lake today was to make fishing poles with pepperoni attached so the kids could catch Crawdad's aka Crayfish. Whatever you want to call them, the poles were a success and my kids were busy fishing the whole day! And I think I earned a few brownie points for the day!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, we got together with a bunch of friends,Barbequed and the kids had a blast playing on the water slide and slip n slide! Here's Garrett coming down!
Bennett's turn!
And Lex!
After putting the big one away we got out the small one and let the kids loose on that for a while! All in all it was a great day! And we are so grateful to be able to also have a day to remember those who have fought for our country and currently are. We are grateful for the freedoms we have because of their selfless service to our country!

Carrot's Sleepover...

Last Wednesday at Garrett's pre-school was pajama day and bring your favorite stuffed animal day. At the end of pre-school the animal's stay and have a sleepover at the pre-school. And then on Friday when the kids go back to school they get to see what kind of mischief their stuffed animals have been up to. Garrett could hardly wait for Friday to come. He kept telling me, "I just know that Carrot (the stuffed animal) was probably getting into lots of trouble and getting out of bed!" It's so cute, they make little beds for the stuffed animals to sleep in.

So Friday comes and the search begins to find where Carrot is at.

As you can see the stuffed animals were up to no good!

One was even hanging upside down from the chandelier!

The animals had gotten all the toys out and made a mess everywhere!

And some were sitting casualing having a Tea Party. But we still could not find Carrot!

And then we found him! With a Home Depot apron on and wrench in hand, he had been busy working!

Garrett was so happy when he found Carrot and thought it was the greatest thing ever that these stuffed animals had toilet papered the pre-school! I told him that Carrot better not try doing that at home or he's headed to time out! Garrett just laughed! I love that kid!

Bennett's 3rd Birthday

Okay so this picture should be switched with the one below it but I can't get it to move. So, oh well! Anyhow...
Ready to open gifts! And hammin' it up, like usual!

He was so excited to open his gifts in Spiderman wrapping paper from Grandma!

Getting his very cool Buzz and Woody bag filled with goodies from some of his BFF's in Washington!

R2-D2 Shirt! He was so happy to get it!

At the Sacramento Zoo!

My favorite part of the trip! Seeing my fav, Palm Trees! Gosh, I wish they had some where we live!

Playing on some of the toys they had there.
Cute kids!

Having more fun!
Cake time!
Bennett wanted a chocolate cake with dinosaurs on it, so that's what he got! He was so excited for his cake!

Blowing out the candles!

As you can tell from the look on his face, he was very proud that he blew them all out!
He had a great birthday and loved seeing all the animals at the zoo and playing!
Happy Birthday! I love you!

Kite flying & other stuff

What we saw when we first got there.

These round kites were so cool! I kept thinking, with the wind that we get, if you harnessed one of those to your back and tried to walked against the wind you could get a serious work-out! Maybe I'll have to come up with a kite work out kit! Look for me on QVC in the near future! J/K

So the focus of this day was Child Abuse Awareness, which I am a huge advocate for. This was the first year they did this at San Rafael Park in Reno . For the first 250 kids that show up they get a free kite! My kids were ecstatic! And it was the perfect day to fly kites!
(meaning, it was nice and windy, nothing new there!)

Bennett letting me try out his kite, but only for a minute!

This park also has tons of trails and and has an Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, very cool place! Anyhow, along our little walk we saw these cuties and my kids went nuts! The baby ducks were adorable and followed their Mama wherever she went. Why can't human kids do that??

They had a cool dinosaur area where the kids climbed all over the different dinosaurs. Bryan included!

Quick pic with the kids in what I think was supposed to be a dinosaur skull.

Bryan playing around at the dinosaur slide.
It really was a great day! We packed a lunch and had a picnic there and just had fun being together. On the way home the kids got ice-cream at McDonald's and Bryan and I hit U- Swirl for some frozen yogurt.
*(confession: I am addicted to U-Swirl! Loveit!!)
