Concert

Ready to take Lex to her first concert; the Kelly Clarkson concert!

Garrett thinking he needs to pose for a picture as well.

The opening act, Parachute. They were actually pretty good.

And Kelly singing. It's hard to see but the best I could get with my camera and the batteries dying on me! Lex had a blast and sang along with quite a few songs. I was in awe that I have a kid old enough to take to a concert. When did that happen??

Ready to go

Today is the big day! It's their Primary Program at church. They have worked so hard on learning their parts for the program and did such a good job. Garrett told me, "Mom, I need to get a new white shirt and tie for the Primary Program so I look really good when I'm up there!" So we went shopping yesterday and I let him pick out what he wanted to wear. I think he did a pretty good job.

Bennett the busy bod, to say the least!

Experimenting with a brown marker. Nice!

Mmmm...the sweet smell of Desitin!

Nope, that's not chocolate on his hands! You guessed it! Why do kids feel the need to do that?

And here his is, so cute and cuddly!
Thank goodness for these few moments.

Breakfast Anyone??

So I woke up this morning and to my surprise this is what I found. This is what Bryan calls "his solution to the overwhelming amount of Halloween candy we have." Let them eat it all at once and then we will be done with it! So Bryan is the hero of the day in our house! The kids think he's the greatest. And when they are all puking later, he can have fun with that too!

Bon Apetit!

The real Halloween...

We started the day out by going to the Carson City Parade. And it was about as exciting as parades can be.

Then the real fun came. After the parade we headed on over to our friend's house to play. After a fabulous BBQ, we did some skateboarding on their gi-normous half pipe, rode bikes and motorcycles.

Me and Bennett sliding down the half-pipe. He was a little nervous, being that this one is much bigger than the one's he's use to at the skate park. (we went down like 50 times!)

Garrett geared up and ready to go. He was so stoked!

There's my little man. No fear at all!

Bryan took the kids out on one of the quads. Here he is with Lex. She was sooo excited to get to ride with him.

Garrett got to ride his buddy Halen's motorcycle all by himself. After crashing into a large bush, he got the hang of it. He had so much fun and guess what he wants from Santa this year!
It was such a fun day and the kids were exhausted by the end of it!
Happy real Halloween!

Happy Halloween, October 30th!

Yep, the post title is right. Our Halloween was on October 30th here in Carson City. Why?? Well, the Nevada Day parade and festivities and all were to be done on Saturday the 31st. This gives the majority of the people an excuse to really drink it up, big time! So to keep the kids from getting hit by drunk drivers, they did Halloween on the 30th.

Bryan's brilliant idea for our costumes was to have me be a celebrity and him the paparazzi! We had a Halloween party to go to so it was fun to get all dressed up!
( Thanks Dianne for the fabulous costume! You Rock!)

At the party, it also happened to be Bennett's best buddy Beckham's b-day party too. It was so funny that the 2 of them both ended up being Buzz Light Year. Even funnier, when Beckham was trying to blow his candles out he couldn't get the second one out. So Bennett, being the loyal friend that he is, saw his buddy in distress and casually walked up and blew it out for him! It was hilarious! Way to have your buddies back Bennett!

Garrett making a Trick or Treat Bag!
Happy Halloween!
My next post will be what we did on the real Halloween!
