I feel really blessed to be surrounded by and a part of some of the best Dads around! Really, all these men exemplify what a Dad should be. They are all hard working, loving, supportive, kind and truly Christlike. Thank you for being such amazing examples to us all! You Rock!

So we got one of those Costco Play Sets for our backyard. Let's just say they are sooo much work to put together. But after a week of working on it a little each day, we finished it yesterday.

My awesome CC (Carson City) friends took me out to dinner for my 30 something b-day. They are all so amazing and I am so grateful to have them! Thanks girl's for an awesome night out!

Mirror, Mirror on the wall...

I know what your thinking..."What the crap is that?!" Well this, oh so lovely mirror, was left on the wall when we moved in. I was in no way a fan of this mirror or it's etched glass. But as it was on it's way to the trash I saw a small, very small glimmer of hope for the thing. So I decided to keep it and see what I could do with it. After some painting, sanding and a few embellishments, it was ready for Alexis' room. I think it turned out a-okay and Lex loves it!

Now it just needs to be hung on the wall and the project is completed. YAY!

Play time!

We got together with some friends today and the kids had a blast! They spent the time eating pizza, cupcakes, popsicles, jumping on the trampoline, hitting the slip n' slide and hanging out in the treehouse. It was a little chilly outside but that didn't stop these guys!

Bridal Shower...

Fabulous neighbors...

This morning, right before we were heading out the door for church, some of our super cute neighbors stopped by to welcome us. They brought with them an awesome hanging plant, rake, shovel and gardening gloves for my kids. Isn't that so cool? I was so surprised and am so glad to have such great neighbors.

Cap't Garrett Sparrow

So I have been slacking on working out with the chaos of moving. So today I loaded Garrett and Bennett up in the stroller to try and get some sort of work-out in. But in order to convince Garrett to stay in the stroller I have to come up with some sort of quest for the day. So today it was a Pirate Treasure Walk and we were busy looking for pirates and treasure. On the way Garrett found his fabulous pirate sword. We also met a dog named Tyson, who happened to have a dark spot around his eye and Garrett was convinced it was his pirate patch. And we're pretty sure we heard some pirates but didn't actually spot any. Anyhow, it was a great walk for me and Garrett has been in pirate mode ever since!

A taste of a little place we like to call home....

This is our house. There are about a million and one things planted in the front yard but we will be minimalizing that soon!

This is one of the bathrooms in our house. It has such a huge linen closet in it. But for my favorite part of that bathroom see pic below.

This is the skylight in the bathroom. The bathroom is so bright all the time. Well, except of course for at night!

Here's a shot of our huge covered patio. Towards the back of the deck is our room. It has awesome french doors out to the deck. Hopefully one day a hot tub will be taking up that deck space right outside our bedroom!

Here's a pic of the other part of our backyard. We bought one of those Costco play sets to go back there. We decided we better get one when we had the moving truck. I wish I would have had our camera to get some pic's of Bryan and I trying to unload it by ourselves. The boxes are sooo heavy! Let's just say that Garrett's skateboard and the moving dolly came in handy to move the boxes to our backyard.
So, it looks like putting that together will be our next huge project!

Moved in!

We have moved into our new house (emphasis on "our" since it is finally just that!) and we love it! Besides all the exhaustion that comes with a move, we are taking it one box at a time and it's starting to come together. Yay!
